Little Urban Homestead
Великобритания
Добавлен 4 янв 2016
A look at and try the uncomplicated, old fashioned and often healthiest way of doing things on a very small scale for yourself at home. I wished I had gotten into and started this about 20 years ago, but don't live in the past only the now and the future possibilities. Yeeaaaahhhhh I would love to live the full homestead/smallholding experience but I am limited on space(small garden) and what I can do with my medical issues.
I also do a Friday episode on sewing related things (clothes, quilts, machines etc so join me. Liz

Hello again! We had a brief conversation a while ago about my dodgy foot pedal for the 30S, and I’m still trying to get a new pedal. Is there any way you can send me a pic of the serial no from the underside of the pedal. I can’t find you on Facebook; could you please let me know what your fb name is & I can pm you. Many thanks in advance. Mari x
Have just put up 2 photos on my face book page, here is the link facebook.com/liz.capper.5855/
Thank you for the video, how long is the chin strap
Can't remember I just placed around hubby's head, marked where I needed chin darts and also put strips of velcro on so he could have it the right position (cpmfortable but firm)
Looks great Liz..
Lovely 😊
Sorry to hear you have been unwell . You have made a beautiful quilt top.Block of the month sounds great.Take care.
Thanks for the feedback
Hi Liz 😊
Hi Janet
Keep it up, love. I'm in America and it's so hard to get good mushy peas here. Hey WHAT LIDS ARE THOSE? We get the metal ones here, but they don't hold up to pressure canning very well.
Beautiful 😊
Looks stunning Liz 😊
Lucky Mason!!
Thank you
You're welcome
That is a wonderful gift to share how you use scraps for binding and decorative stitches to finish it off. Thank you very much.
Thanks for sharing..looks lovely and a good idea to use decorative stitches for binding.
It makes the binding look interesting as well as functional
Great work Liz 😊
Very good 😊
A brilliant haul Liz.
Hey do you think I could use larger hoops from other brands with this machine? Would they be compatible?
I have been thinking about this for a few days as I was thinking about the same thing a few years ago but never did it. I instead bought another embroidery machine which had larger hoop sizes. Now I look at the two machines I can see there is a difference in the arm of the embroidery thing .
@@littleurbanhomestead818 oh ok, thanks for letting me know :)
My granny used to be in a quilting circle in church. I always wanted a quilt like the ones she used to make but I could never afford it. I have never had an interest in sewing and my carpal tunnel would not be happy if I tried.
Sorry for your illness but I bet you got other great hobbies
Beautiful quilt! Love the colours! I keep my pins open in a jar, they tangle a bit, but not too much. Then they are ready to use when I need to baste a quilt. I also keep a spoon with my pins. It really saves my fingers. It's a game changer! Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
It looks a lovely Liz...I would be interested in how you set Necchi long arm up for quilting ...I have this machine and although its great ..I find it can skip stitches if quilt is too thick? Thanks
Next time I use it for quilting I will do a video showing how I set it up
Thank you
Good to organise your machines like this and beautiful quilts.
Such gorgeous work❣️❣️❣️😍🤩
Nice tutorial have a Bless day 👍♥️🌹🇺🇸

All looks great 👍 😊
If everything grows, you will have a bountiful garden 😊. Looks great!
Had some successes and some failures but still plugging away and growing
The strawberry jam will still be delicious. I made some apple pie jam once and went over the amount needed in apples and it didn't set. What a happy mistake because it was delicious over ice cream. Happy canning!
Thank you but my body wasn't up to what my mind wanted to do so I prepped then froze the fruit will jam it up later
Good luck with the quilting Liz..the Star quilt is looking lovely.
Thank you! 😊
Your quilt look lovely Liz..I agree a plain border would be good.
This is fantastic, so glad I found it. Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!. Could you help me out. I am trying to get monetized but I need more watch time so could you please watch a few of my other video's.

Gorgeous work Liz
Looking great.
i like the pinwheel but they are all beautiful!!!
Hi, Mari here. Great video. I’m having problems with the power supply. Suddenly the machine wouldn’t stop sewing, even when I took my foot off the pedal. Bought another foot control but same error. Do you think you could send me a pic of the label underneath your foot control, before I take it to the shop & spend a fortune on getting a diagnosis & repair? Thanks so much x
I have taken some photos today but think I can't send over You Tube. Join me on face book or e mail me so I can send them to you
I need to make myself one of these
Looks great😊
Brilliant 😊
I've got some of her rulers, they are great value 😊
That will keep you busy 😊
Wow stunning 😮
i cant see you or what tour doing! i cant understand you either
I always thoroughly wash any rice before cooking. Just because we don’t know what it’s been coated with. I love the idea of dehydrating cooked rice! I usually Food Save my leftover rice & freeze but I’m looking into non-refrigeration methods of keeping easy foods.
I don't dehydrate cooked rice for myself just to go with dog food as it easy to soak in broth in the morning then it is ready for his evening meal. Also when I make rice for us I normally make more than we need that way we can have it over two days as well as the dog can have it.
Happy Birthday (soon) We are planning a picnic lunch at my favorite fishing access on the Connecticut River for my birthday. Wish you were here!
