love your Collection it's better than mine i give you that his books here in the states for me are hard as hell to find. i recently bought The Bad Place (1990) and Elsewhere (2020) on hardback his books have really gotten hard to find since he signed that deal with Amazon. by the way he's done Digital books as well through Amazon so you can' town them all in physical form sadly.
That Key to Midnight Hardback you have is actually the Leigh Nichols Version, it never got released in the USA under his own real name until 1995 when he revised it, almost word for word, I've been going through both versions and there is a lot of changes, the old 1992 Headline Hardback / Paperback has 85 chapters, the Dean Koontz revised version has 84 chapters.
New sub here...I have a lot of these..Dean Koontz is my favorite. My top two are Lightning and Soul Survivor. I just really relate to those..I love them..thats the ones that got me hooked on him.
I’ve never read any Dean Koontz novels. I’ve Read Richard Laymon, James Herbert, Stephen King, R Chetwynd Hayes (Who I think is so underrated and writes brilliant short horror stories) H.P Lovecraft and Edgar Allen Poe. I’d love to start reading Koontz and so I’ll definitely check out some of your favourites of his work. Love your book collection videos. Love to know what you think of Stephen Kings Salem’s Lot my favourite of his novels.
Hi dont wish to sound flippant, but you say hes your favourite author, but you have hardly read any, seem to have forgotten the plots in all but two books, and have huge amounts missing in the collection .
@@cthulhup9534 for me there are some authors i love to death with Dean Koontz being one of them and with Certain books of theirs that i read years and years ago i don't always remember anything about the books. take Carrie i was given the (1976) film on bluray recently and when i was reading the Trivia to it on IMDB. it said in the book it explains what happened to her father and why her mother treats her the way she does. i do not remember that at all but than Carrie is one of my least liked books of King's
Koontz's British published hardbacks all seem to have pictures of houses or buildings on the front. It's nice art, but seems kind of strange that they all have the same thing. But cool collection!
Dean Koontz is the most hit and miss author I read regularly. The hits are great fun and the misses are at least still quick reads but very forgettable. I can't read his books in sequence either, a bit too much the same formula/style. In the new stuff there is some good books but in general they tend to be more long winded and filled with old man yells at clouds "commentary" of society that I don't enjoy. the top hits so far: 1 False memory 2 Strangers 3 Phantoms 4 Velocity 5 life expectancy (the funniest Koontz by far, I was laughing out loud while reading this, it's a comedy) 6 Dark Rivers of the heart ("classic formulaic Koontz"), 7 The taking (I really like the premise, one of his lest formulaic stories)
Dean Koontz is my favorite author hands down. Nice collection of hardcovers.
