oh and also wondering about the umbrellas its a tradition called the umbrella dance since its said the swallows home stadium meiji jingu stadium is in an area of tokyo where it rains so it makes sense also the music is the tokyo ondo a traditional japanese song about tokyo they do it when they score and when they are up to bat in the 7th inning
There's a streaming service called DAZN that has Japanese baseball. But they upped the prices recently. Like... 3,000 yen a month. So much so that I cancelled my service. Do you have VPN? You might be able to connect to a Japanese station and stream some games for free. I dunno... I haven't really looked into it.
Yeah. No worries. Sorry, Kris! I did some further investigating and there appears to be some cheaper alternatives. Such as Giants TV... (But only Giants games) Toratele... (Only Hanshin Tigers games) Pacific League TV... (Pacific League games) It doesn't look like there's any free streaming service and you'll need a VPN unfortunately. =(
In British football, people often get into fights in the stadiums and are often loud and obnoxious. But it's the opposite when it comes to Japanese baseball, everyone seems to be quiet and polite.
Yeah! You're right! Australian football too. But, not quite to the same extent. I've heard some crazy stories about what can happen at British football games.
@@SpikeSetsFire I've heard it can get heated at Australian football games, bogans seem to take the sport too seriously. British football can quickly turn into a riot if there's no police around. Japan has always been an orderly and relatively peaceful country so it makes sense as to why they're a lot more calmer at sport events.
you havent seen the anything outside tokyo yet we have jet balloons launched during the 7th inning stretch as a fighters fan i know that in 2022 we introduced get this a foam fish which we apparently use to rally to the tune of shake it off by katy perry (im not making this up this is a video on the fighters youtube channel: ruclips.net/video/NjuGFf2bwGM/видео.html) and we also dance to what does the fox say around 4th or 5th inning break and mascots having friendly relationships with each other unlike america where they just go against each other especially rival mascots
@@SpikeSetsFire btw here is a sample of what the fox dance is (that is how the fighters call dancing what does the fox say in marketing) and also we loop the chorus twice: ruclips.net/video/P9I5suWhgpQ/видео.html and for good measure here it is in action on the fighters yt channel: ruclips.net/video/5WFgTDIqzAQ/видео.html
Mate underdog? Lol Pies lose too much so their underdogs? Biggest club but underdogs 😂. Trust me ppl japan make more sense as some aussies thinks wearing face mask is like wearing a dirty g string lol.....
Hey Rob! The Pies are a different story. I was born into a Collingwood family. 😉 As for the masks, yeah, it's the complete opposite in Japan. Maybe 99.9% of the population still wear a mask everywhere even today. Anyone who doesn't gets death stares.
I’ve supported yomiuri giants for 10 years. I’m so glad you visited Tokyo Dome.
Tokyo Dome is a spectacular stadium. I loved it!
Also, I think the Giants have a good chance this year.
This looks awesome! I love the bento box

I’ve never seen Japanese Baseball covered by any of the of content creators in Japan that I follow before, so this was actually pretty interesting!
Wow! Really?? Thank you! I'm so happy to hear that! I'll do my best to keep more interesting stuff coming. =)
Yes mate, it was interesting. Thanks heaps for showing us. Greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Glenn!
How can I watch games in the uk?

I don't no why, but i quite like this video man👍🏽
Thanks for saying that!
Any game where they serve Beer is interesting :D
You know it, Max!
The umbrellas for a homerun are because it's raining baseballs into the stands!
Haha! So that explains it!! Thank you very much, wintermute!
Do they accept Suica inside the park for food and souvenirs?
That's a good question. I can't remember. Maybe someone who drops by here knows and can tell us.
Yes, you can use Suica and credit cards at basically any ballpark.
I think you might have to start a petition or something to get meat pies at baseball games in Japan!
Couldn't agree more! It's a million dollar idea.
That beer had too much head
I know. =( Is it just me... or does it seem to be a common thing in Japan? I think Japanese people really like a lot of head.
800 yens the beer ??? it was 500 yens in 2016.
