Hi! I am a recent medical graduate from Nepal. I have already started preparing for Step 1. And it was during my internship days that I have developed a wish to be a surgeon. So, could you do a dedicated video on how international students could match General Surgery (or any other surgical department) including the scores and the criteria needed and everything there is to know. I know its hard but its not impossible. I also have some idea about the recommendation letter needed but I dont know how to get one. This video could benefit many international students like me. Thanks in advance!
Please feature a oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I want to know the career implications of taking 4-year and 6-year residency. Can a 4-year OMS do a fellowship in head and neck oncology?

Do Cardiologists have to perform heart surgery or any type of surgery ? And at what point in your studying in school will you finally start to make some good money ? Or do you have to wait until you’re finished 14 years of school to finally make some good money ?
Cardiologist do procedures like biopies, stent placements, some valve replacement , defibrillators, etc. But not the traditional heart surgeries like a bypass. Good money - as an attending so after residency and medical school. Salary - you get paid during your residency and fellowship salary. Varies on location

Do you really need physical science to become a cardiologist, because I dont do physics in high school but wanna pursue this career , would you please advice me on what I should do.. Please so ASAP! REALLY APPRECIATE IT
Less specific courses in high school. If you're interested in medicine think about medical terminology, bio, anatomy if your school offers them. Thanks for the comment!

All external and using imaging to see the insides. A surgeon would do an open heart procedure.
