DOB is a good entry level kit , but like most supercharger kits they are just base kits and there are ways to upgrade it .. the m122 is the limiting factor here ..the DOB kit has some stuff that other companies dont ....the billet lower intake will accept up to 1.25" coolant lines and has a phelonic spacer on the lower intake to head that keep IAT down ..plus any gt500 / coyote supercharger headunit can be used ...eaton , whipple or tvs .. This car would do well with a trinity or gen2r head unit with some fuel pump upgrades .. will be interesting to watch
Really nice car and solid combo. I like the GT500 blower on an S197.. I don't think I could deal with all of those dash lights on.. too OCD for me.. Nice job, Andrew
I've always wondered about those kits but it looks terrible and kinda sketchy with the wires and hoses everywhere under the hood, I don't know if that's the way they installed it or if that's what the kit requires.
So, if the customers supplied 93 won't take more timimg, why add octane booster vs stopping there? Does that mean the customer now has to run booster or risk costantly being in knock territory and relying on the knock sensors? Just seems risky
No… for one the knock sensors have authority to add and subtract based on octane level. They do this very well and is one of the best features of coyotes. It is very easy to identify when bad fuel is an issue and when false knock is an issue. Why would a customer spend money to put their car on the dyno to stop because they got gas equivalent to 89 octane. Winter fuel is also of poor quality. One of the best things about having a tuning device is that the customer could also switch tunes between a regular 93 tune and a “race” gas or octane boosted tune.
@@MustangLifestyleTV makes sense. I figured it was seperate tune files, one safe for all 93 and one for a spicier mix and more power, but I was curious how you were doing it in the video. From the 07 GT500 world, as you know, what knock sensors lol
Had this same issue first week I had my 2014 5.0 I set my key limits on my one and only key. Music wouldn’t go even a quarter up. Got annoyed and bought a navos radio and it got rid of the volume limit but still had those annoying dings lol Had ordered a blank key from Amazon got it cut at a locksmith (they quoted me 350 to program didn’t do it but got key cut for free) held onto the key and saw a random company outside of sams club that programmed it for $80
Bro I enjoy your content and like to watch ya learn and grow but for the love of god keep those engines OFF that hard limiter, if I were you I’d put it really high in the rpm or turn it off if that’s possible while using the dyno then set it where it needs to be when you’re done
Most cars leave with soft limiter (high hysteresis). I tune every car on a case by case basis. I never tuned this combo before(odd ball combo) so I make necessary changes for proper calibration first. It is common to bump limiters when tuning. I’m watching afr, spark, and knock like a hawk.
You obviously don't know shit about cars 😂😂. The limiter is there to save the engine from revving too high. You don't just magically turn up the rev limiter for the sake of not hitting it 😂. Also you don't turn them off 😂😂
@chaseself5420 best way to learn is to just start tuning. I have been working with these cars for a while so I have a great understanding of data targets and how to read logs. I started tuning and I took the tuning school class which helped fill in some questions I had
The 5.0 has way more compressiom and rpm than the 5.4 plus it has vct so the gt500 has much more mild stock cams i think the 5.4 holds its own pretty damn well all things considered. My 07 put down 550 on straight 93 around 13 psi it only turns to 6500 rpm amd has 8.4:1 compeession plus way more mild stock cams. The 5.4 is impressive for what it is and theyre torque monsters.
Interesting.... So you can basically use a 2007-2012 Supercharger on a coyote?
You can but good luck finding a kit for it
Simple go to department of boost. They got them, the full kit. Got one on my 07.
Awesome to see your progress with tuning and working on cars!!
I met a guy that had a GT500 blower on his 5.0 also built by the department of boost. Pretty neat!
Congrats on your expansion...great to have a separate place just for your car collection. Enjoyed the video!
That’s a nice safe power level for a Gen 1. I actually like that part about it.

Best thing I’ve seen today
Awesome power gains from that ML tuning, great job. The lighting in the shop looks amazing.
Those are great numbers with that set up. That new garage looks nice
Hi Andrew Do you have a kit set up to do this I would like to convert this to my 2016 f150 5.0 gen 2 motor Thanks
Nice garage..glad to see you succeeding

My 2008 s197 gt makes 492 RWHP 436 ftlb torque with a procharger, ford racing intake and ford 62mm throttle body.. I think that’s pretty dam good
Most people dont realize the difference in pressure and volume of boost from different types of super and turbo chargers.
I have been wondering about this kit. They also have them for the 3v. Turdzilla? That would be cool..
Definitely been a consideration for turdzilla
I've always wondered about those kits but it looks terrible and kinda sketchy with the wires and hoses everywhere under the hood, I don't know if that's the way they installed it or if that's what the kit requires.
I think some of that was previous owner choice of routing. The new owner of the car just did a trinity swap and cleaned up a lot of the clutter

Every customer and car is different. It’s part of tuning. Identifying the best power for given fuel while keeping it safe.

@@AllThingsBoost lol right. Coyotes and ecoboost platform utilize the knock sensors very well.
Andrew i’am visiting Orlando for a few weeks from Canada ,wondering if you will be testing at Orlando speed world for the next two weeks coming.😊
If I get the racecar short block swapped I might be out testing soon
Hi, I have a question....How can I get "My key" off of my '13 Mustang GT?
Get another key programmed
Had this same issue first week I had my 2014 5.0 I set my key limits on my one and only key. Music wouldn’t go even a quarter up. Got annoyed and bought a navos radio and it got rid of the volume limit but still had those annoying dings lol

@@Borrego43 Thank you... I'll get another key made....Not having my radio up like I is very annoying
Good power gains...oh by the way the new garage looks great.

I wonder what it wld do wth Trinity 2.3 TVS...
He actually just installed one so hopefully will be back to break into mid 600s
@@MustangLifestyleTV very nice
Nice video nice new garage. Also, do you plan on moving in into that double wide do you own it?
Hell yeah brother

A GT500 5.4 with comparable cams (~210* @ .050 and ~.460” lift) and compression (11:1) will out power the Coyote.
Well it's .4 bigger sooo uhh yeah
Very nice brother 👌🏼
what’s needed for this swap?
Department of boost sells the kits
what about the other way around lol, i have a boss 290 and can get my hands on a cheap miami boss 335 blower 😅
Alum stars? That’s a new way to say alumastars. 😂
damn 8grand on a stock gen 1
3:31 car?
Yes
Thank ya and cool video never seen these blowers on a 5.0
You should do Dino days and charge people a fee and have a cookout on certain days.
I plan to at some point
Get up on the roof and power wash those skylights let in natural light.
does the power company pay you for back feeding electricity into the grid off the dyno?
It would be cool if the dyno worked like that
Car seems weak for a 5.0 with boost
Well it is a weak blower lol
How is 500 wheel weak? That’s perfect for a daily driver and you won’t even use all of that daily anyway.
Engine bay looks like a rats nest
No disrespect, but man, that yard needs a clean up.
