I recently discovered your channel and am very much enjoying watching your videos. I kept thinking your property reminded me of the small 4 acre homestead where I grew up. Since you are in west Kootenay that makes sense as we lived just south of the Kootenays on the US side. My mom always describes it as a piece of paradise. I didn't really understand how great a place it is as a kid not having experienced anywhere else. Since then, I've lived all over the world since and the Selkirk mountains are still my favorite place in the world. I hope you enjoy your piece of paradise as much as we did.
Also, if you have not tried them yet. I recommend growing gooseberries. They did extremely well for us. We'd make beautiful, delicious rust colored gooseberries strawberry jelly with them.

      Hey cool 😄
Wonderful to realize how special something,a place or period of life was later on in life.
I grew up on a different acreage than this one and have very fond memories of my child hood-very rustic back to the land-off grid.
I often long for those days still.
Gooseberry pie 🥧 sounds wonderful some day I’ll try that.
Edit : Oh I see after you said jelly that sounds delicious too 😊
I’ve got a couple plants in containers, planted one out but it died. I need to get the others in the ground !
I haven’t experienced lots of gooseberries before.
      Thanks for sharing

I am always looking forward to your garden tours please never stop making them. You have so many awesome gorgeous varieties comparing to the mayority of RUclipsr. Garden tours are like my p o r n. Cause I loveee gardening probably more than everyone else in the world. I want to grow everything even though my backyard is small. My only dream is to buy a house with a bigger backyard where I can grow everything my heart desires. Cause plants and dividend stocks/ETFs are two of the biggest love of my life.
