If you want to keep both sides clean you can use painters tape to protect your Finished Edges, but you still need to be carful or you will glue the tape to your project. Good luck

That’s great if your using solid pvc , but CA doesn’t work worth a crap on cheaper composite decking

You ever have problems with the activator staining the deck boards?

LOL..."I don't have a clue what 2P-10 means, but is a two part adhesive that sets up in like 10 seconds"... HAHAHAHA

You should try the gel in the caulk tubes. It takes longer to set up, but it is stronger than the wood itself. I use the gel for securing finished side panels on cabinets. I love this stuff.

The squeez out can be chipped away pretty easy with a chisel. And they have a Debonder if you have to take it apart.

There is a CA glue remover. You can use it on you fingers and your project.

    Good video THANK YOU
What glue do you use to connect MDF?
I tried a super sticky activator, it didn't go very well.
Joining with screws is due to cracking of the material.
I use 19 mm thick MDF

I would try a more traditional glue like titebond

Home DIYer here. This stuff looks pretty bombproof!
I am wrapping 4x4 (3.5 in) treated pine with Trex decking boards. Going to router the decking boards using a lock miter. Making a 5.5 in post sleeve that will slide over the post.
Questions are... How well is the 2P 10 is holding up 2yrs later on projects you have done?
Do you think this is the right product to use for my application? Or is there another product you think might work better?? (The box store suggested Loctite Power Grab Ultimate.)
Or, do you think I even need to "glue" the lock miter together if I am screwing the post sleeve to the post on all 4 sides?
    Looking for your expert opinion.
    Thanks!

They’ve had The same type of glue with the same activator to make it instant in the autobody trade for probably 20 years now and yes the pump sprayer would probably be more necessary to use on site with the wind and everything’s a little bit blows away or keep it from even getting on the outside of the scene. Also I’m surprised that you didn’t do the zigzag application which probably will really hold it together much better as in construction liquid nails etc. thanks for the video man bye

What is the name of the adhesive you are referencing? Do you happen to know the cure time w/o the “activator”?

Think Could it be used to glue joints together on longer runs ? So it looks like it has no joint?

  • @wesplummer5588

debonder cleans the mess. you are using way too much gel. I dont like the waste and mess that the spray creates. they should come up with a cleaner method.
