What's even more impressive about these live vocals is that they lost their main vocalist just 2 months prior... meaning Jisung, who has always been more proficient at high notes than most of the members had to shoulder the burden of the majority of those lines in an extremely short span of time The others also had to step up and take more difficult vocal parts as well I can't imagine how stressful and physically taxing that must have been, but here he is belting it out perfectly for the entire duration of the concert There are no words which can express how much I respect him and all of the members of SKZ
You can't say you've heard "i am you" until you've actually heard this version. To think that we are going to enjoy them again in concert makes me so happy!! Even knowing that they are not going to come to my country yet by any chance. BUUT But this type of content is staggeringly beautiful.
Han just casually rolling in with that My Pace D5. It's probably a good thing he's never been interested in actually training his vocals and just relies on whatever comes out raw. If he decided to actually train as a vocalist, we'd be dead.
Yaaaaaaaaay! Hi-Stay in Japan is one of the most well-documented concerts I've seen and not to mention their energy is through the roof in these performances!! Seriously, the stage presence, the live vocals, the audio and video quality is just unmatched for a concert record

This was a great concert on its own merits, but I also appreciate it because it's a really good vehicle for comparison. This wasn't that long after Woojin left, and while Han took the majority of his parts, Lee Know, I.N, Seungmin, and Chan rounded it out. Han was fine (although he was now officially pulling double duty, so props to him), obviously there was nothing to worry about with Chan, and Seungmin was born ready; he wasn't as solid as he is now, but he was perfectly ok to step up. But Lee Know and I.N? Even though their lines were still fewer than the rest of the group's, they were still suddenly carrying more lines than they were used to, and they were feature lines. They did it, and I'm proud of them, but what's cool is that this is a perfect chance to hear where they were then vs where they are now -- and it's just _miles_ apart. Both of them have so noticeably improved that even people who know little about music can hear the difference.

Hi again! Actually the set list of songs were probably released before the concert or it will be surprised list of songs. So it was better to just listen and study their songs. And as far as I know they don't have fanchant name not like on BTS (I'm 6 yrs former Army still love them tho). Their fanchant is commonly base on the songs. Hi-Stay is a showcase (free promotional concert) prior to Japan debut with SKZ2020 album released in March 2020, and therefore it was short. I wish I was already a STAY back then. Now I’m excited to see them performing again, actually in the same venue I suppose.

Sorry, i know this is an old comment. lol But I know people still watch these older reaction videos and read the comments to learn about SKZ. Therefore, I think it's important to clear up misinformation when you see it, no matter how long ago it was posted. So just wanna say, there is actually a good reason they were praising Han in particular, and thats because Seungmin WASN'T Main Vocalist. When Woojin left, he did so without the other two members of VocalRacha having even come close to being ready to take over the position. Which is one of the reasons the group was hurt so badly. His actions could have SEVERELY harmed the group when it came to vocal recognition. As it was, SKZ is a rap focused group and were highly ridiculed for having less talented vocalists than almost all of the other groups in the industry. Only to have their one well trained and stage ready main Vocalist walk out. Seungmin was NO WHERE near ready to take on the Main Vocalist position, he had what we call "potential" but the fact is... At the time, Han was a better "Natural Born" Vocalist. To put the whole sequence of events simply... Since Han was already a Main Rapper AND a Main Producer, he obviously couldn't hold down the position of Main Vocalist too. Specially since relying on "Natural Talent" can definitely mean unhealthy habits and lack of proper technique. After all, he definitely can't train his vocals on top of holding down those 3 Main positions in the group. he was already spread far too thin. Even with the other vocalists trying to take as much weight off of his shoulders as they could, he was still responsible for far too much. Plus, being completely Self-taught and unable to train his vocals properly was a waste of HIS own "potential" and made him feel sub par in the position. Because despite how amazing he was, he would have been insurmountably better had he had the proper training.) Speaking of training, there was indeed a member of VocalRacha who didn't already have two Main titles within the group, and also had some real "Natural Talent". However, it's very important for fans to understand that at the time, Seungmin wasn't up to par with Han. And Han did the group and Seungmin a massively amazing kindness when he took up that position from October 2019 all the way till Stray Kids competed on "Kingdom: Legendary War". On which, as we all know, Seungmin represented SKZ in the Vocal unit of the Mayfly supergroup in the legendary performance of "Love Poem". It was AFTER this performance that BangChan OFFICIALLY declared Seungmin the Main Vocalist of Stray Kids. Basically, it was in that performance that Seungmin proved that he was ready to take over the Main Vocalist position from Han. A promotion that was very well deserved, because in the time since Woojin's departure and Kingdom, whilst Han held down the bulk of the group vocals, Seungmin was taking rather extensive vocal training. Not only was he working extremely hard to improve quickly, he was also taking it very seriously. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, he was taking every extra lesson he could, his coach said he NEVER missed a single one, and he even went as far as avoiding air conditioning in the summer and choosing function over fashion in the winter, all to protect his voice and keep from getting sick. All of which, I firmly believe, was not only his way to showing 3RACHA (specially Han) that he took this seriously, but also as a way to showing Han how thankful he was for the opportunity to ready himself and for nit rushing him, or ever making him feel guilty for having not been prepared and the extensive amount of time that it takes to complete such an endeavor properly... Today, Seungmin is a truly wonderful vocalist that the group is incredibly proud of. And although it took time, he's also becoming a Vocalist that this fandom is finally starting to show the respect he deserves. (Although, I personally think that was only ever lacking, because he had yet to become the confident main character that he also is now.) My point, of course, is that back in the beginning of 2020 none of this had yet to occur. The reality was quite a bit different then, and it wasn't until the Kingdom competition that Seungmin obtained his new position. And it was only made possible because of teamwork, and the dedicated and intensive hard work of our resident Ace of a Rapper, Producer, Vocalist and Dancer by the name of Han Jisung. So THAT, my dear STAY, Is why in the comments of a reaction to the videos documenting the first massive showcase that SKZ held after Woojin left, there's so many people praising him. Ultimately, that's the situation that led to Han being the "Main Character" on that stage. Specially as far as the line distribution is concerned, as well as the truly spectacular performance that he in particular put on. Even more so due to the fact that our boy did this out of necessity and not desire. Considering that an individual with social anxiety issues would never purposefully do such a thing, I believe makes the fact that he did so for every one of stages in their District 9: Unlock tour truly unbelievable.

I don't remember if there was one before this but this concert was only 2ish months after Double Knot so they had a lot of re-arranging to do last minute and I think they went HARDCORE like put 200% in for this lol I FELT it EDIT: TBH at this point even I don't know what you've reacted to lol, I Am You is an underrated QUEEN though, definitely in my top 10 still to this day. This arrangement isn't totally like the original, but I love it just as much 😍
Yes! I can't believe they pulled this concert off at this level with what they had just gone through and at this point in their careers I think performing in front of so many Stays really helped them through those times and healed us as well... this concert is just legendary for so many reasons

We know the givens are: Maniac, God's Menu, Thunderous, and Miroh, those never leave the setlist. I'm PRAYING so hard for Charmer! I Am You has always been one of my fave title tracks and I'm obsessed with that ballad version so I really want them to do that again. since the last album released befor their 2019 district 9 tour was yellow wood, i think you should at least try to know/have listened to the oddinary (ofc), noeasy, in life/go live, and levanter albums, as well as know their main title tracks before the concert. plus if you have extra time, listen through the skz 2021 album since they released that last year (i also think you have already listened to pretty much all of the songs on the skz 2020 album just on your own here on yt :)

I feel like i saw some video of Chan where he said that he was annoyed with tucking in his shirts and trying to get them to stay tucked while dancing So he and his stylists settled on crop tops. And he works hard for those abs! It'd be a shame to hide them. Oof, if you think these camera angles and moves are bad.... Have you watched anything from their performances at the Dubai expo this year? The camera people and directing team didn't understand the assignment and my brain hurts just thinking about watching it again. I'm not sure if the other versions of their songs are available on Spotify...that "I am you ballad version" was only performed during that time (correct me if I'm wrong). They do this special versions for performances and concerts like last year when they did thunderous Christmas and hero versions P.S. I think you've reacted to most of their title tracks and some b-sides that were connected to the storyline and that's where you heard the "I am You", maybe "Astronaut" and others. I remember the long video where you compiled a lot of their songs to try to connect their storyline. Lastly, I think they'd perform some of their older songs too, their last live concert was laventer era.

This was a great concert on its own merits, but I also appreciate it because it's a really good vehicle for comparison. This wasn't that long after Woojin left, and while Han took the majority of his parts, Lee Know, I.N, Seungmin, and Chan rounded it out. Han was fine (although he was now officially pulling double duty, so props to him), obviously there was nothing to worry about with Chan, and Seungmin was born ready; he wasn't as solid as he is now, but he was perfectly ok to step up. But Lee Know and I.N? Even though their lines were still fewer than the rest of the group's, they were still suddenly carrying more lines than they were used to, and they were feature lines. They did it, and I'm proud of them, but what's cool is that this is a perfect chance to hear where they were then vs where they are now -- and it's just _miles_ apart. Both of them have so noticeably improved that even people who know little about music can hear the difference.
I didn’t realise how close this was from when he left! Wow!! It’s actually insane. The burden they must have had on them is crazy. And yes agree, they really have improved insane amounts! So proud of them as well ❤️

Hi again! Actually the set list of songs were probably released before the concert or it will be surprised list of songs. So it was better to just listen and study their songs. And as far as I know they don't have fanchant name not like on BTS (I'm 6 yrs former Army still love them tho). Their fanchant is commonly base on the songs. There's some guide video created by them doing fanchant. Also, there's some Stays share lyrics sheet of fanchant on twt. That's all!!! Enjoy their concert!!!!!

Hi-Stay is a showcase (free promotional concert) prior to Japan debut with SKZ2020 album released in March 2020, and therefore it was short. I wish I was already a STAY back then.
Now I’m excited to see them performing again, actually in the same venue I suppose.

Sorry, i know this is an old comment. lol But I know people still watch these older reaction videos and read the comments to learn about SKZ. Therefore, I think it's important to clear up misinformation when you see it, no matter how long ago it was posted.
So just wanna say, there is actually a good reason they were praising Han in particular, and thats because Seungmin WASN'T Main Vocalist. When Woojin left, he did so without the other two members of VocalRacha having even come close to being ready to take over the position.
Which is one of the reasons the group was hurt so badly. His actions could have SEVERELY harmed the group when it came to vocal recognition. As it was, SKZ is a rap focused group and were highly ridiculed for having less talented vocalists than almost all of the other groups in the industry. Only to have their one well trained and stage ready main Vocalist walk out.
Seungmin was NO WHERE near ready to take on the Main Vocalist position, he had what we call "potential" but the fact is... At the time, Han was a better "Natural Born" Vocalist. To put the whole sequence of events simply... Since Han was already a Main Rapper AND a Main Producer, he obviously couldn't hold down the position of Main Vocalist too. Specially since relying on "Natural Talent" can definitely mean unhealthy habits and lack of proper technique. After all, he definitely can't train his vocals on top of holding down those 3 Main positions in the group. he was already spread far too thin.
Even with the other vocalists trying to take as much weight off of his shoulders as they could, he was still responsible for far too much. Plus, being completely Self-taught and unable to train his vocals properly was a waste of HIS own "potential" and made him feel sub par in the position. Because despite how amazing he was, he would have been insurmountably better had he had the proper training.) Speaking of training, there was indeed a member of VocalRacha who didn't already have two Main titles within the group, and also had some real "Natural Talent".
However, it's very important for fans to understand that at the time, Seungmin wasn't up to par with Han. And Han did the group and Seungmin a massively amazing kindness when he took up that position from October 2019 all the way till Stray Kids competed on "Kingdom: Legendary War". On which, as we all know, Seungmin represented SKZ in the Vocal unit of the Mayfly supergroup in the legendary performance of "Love Poem". It was AFTER this performance that BangChan OFFICIALLY declared Seungmin the Main Vocalist of Stray Kids.
Basically, it was in that performance that Seungmin proved that he was ready to take over the Main Vocalist position from Han. A promotion that was very well deserved, because in the time since Woojin's departure and Kingdom, whilst Han held down the bulk of the group vocals, Seungmin was taking rather extensive vocal training.
Not only was he working extremely hard to improve quickly, he was also taking it very seriously. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, he was taking every extra lesson he could, his coach said he NEVER missed a single one, and he even went as far as avoiding air conditioning in the summer and choosing function over fashion in the winter, all to protect his voice and keep from getting sick.
All of which, I firmly believe, was not only his way to showing 3RACHA (specially Han) that he took this seriously, but also as a way to showing Han how thankful he was for the opportunity to ready himself and for nit rushing him, or ever making him feel guilty for having not been prepared and the extensive amount of time that it takes to complete such an endeavor properly... Today,
Seungmin is a truly wonderful vocalist that the group is incredibly proud of. And although it took time, he's also becoming a Vocalist that this fandom is finally starting to show the respect he deserves. (Although, I personally think that was only ever lacking, because he had yet to become the confident main character that he also is now.)
My point, of course, is that back in the beginning of 2020 none of this had yet to occur. The reality was quite a bit different then, and it wasn't until the Kingdom competition that Seungmin obtained his new position. And it was only made possible because of teamwork, and the dedicated and intensive hard work of our resident Ace of a Rapper, Producer, Vocalist and Dancer by the name of Han Jisung. So THAT, my dear STAY, Is why in the comments of a reaction to the videos documenting the first massive showcase that SKZ held after Woojin left, there's so many people praising him.
Ultimately, that's the situation that led to Han being the "Main Character" on that stage. Specially as far as the line distribution is concerned, as well as the truly spectacular performance that he in particular put on. Even more so due to the fact that our boy did this out of necessity and not desire. Considering that an individual with social anxiety issues would never purposefully do such a thing, I believe makes the fact that he did so for every one of stages in their District 9: Unlock tour truly unbelievable.

This concert is more beautiful to me when thinking it's one of the first concerts they had with them as 8. I don't remember if there was one before this but this concert was only 2ish months after Double Knot so they had a lot of re-arranging to do last minute and I think they went HARDCORE like put 200% in for this lol I FELT it
EDIT: TBH at this point even I don't know what you've reacted to lol, I Am You is an underrated QUEEN though, definitely in my top 10 still to this day. This arrangement isn't totally like the original, but I love it just as much 😍

I'll be seeing them in June so I've also been curious about the setlist. We know the givens are: Maniac, God's Menu, Thunderous, and Miroh, those never leave the setlist. I'm PRAYING so hard for Charmer! I think they'd pick Freeze or even Venom over that but a girl can dream. I Am You has always been one of my fave title tracks and I'm obsessed with that ballad version so I really want them to do that again. They really should release the ballad version on streaming sites. since the last album released befor their 2019 district 9 tour was yellow wood, i think you should at least try to know/have listened to the oddinary (ofc), noeasy, in life/go live, and levanter albums, as well as know their main title tracks before the concert. plus if you have extra time, listen through the skz 2021 album since they released that last year (i also think you have already listened to pretty much all of the songs on the skz 2020 album just on your own here on yt :)

I'm not sure if the other versions of their songs are available on Spotify...that "I am you ballad version" was only performed during that time (correct me if I'm wrong). They do this special versions for performances and concerts like last year when they did thunderous Christmas and hero versions
P.S. I think you've reacted to most of their title tracks and some b-sides that were connected to the storyline and that's where you heard the "I am You", maybe "Astronaut" and others. I remember the long video where you compiled a lot of their songs to try to connect their storyline.
