Hey guys, it's Faiz
In today's video, I give you guys my thoughts on what I believe are realistic expectations for the Bears in Year 1.
Ben Johnson has set clear expectations for his first year with the Chicago Bears. Rather than focusing solely on wins and losses, Johnson aims to establish a strong team culture1. He emphasizes accountability, integrity, and resilience, hoping to define what it means to be a Chicago Bear both on and off the field. Johnson believes that if the team takes care of these aspects, positive results will follow1.
While fans and the organization are eager for a successful season, Johnson has asked for patience, acknowledging that building a competitive team takes time. His primary goal is to lay a solid foundation for future success, even if it means the Bears might not make the playoffs in his first year2.
What do you think about Johnson's approach?

I’m not putting anything on Ben Johnson until I see improvements on our O Line
FACTS!
Bruh it’s not free agency yet nor has the draft came shut up we still are hiring coaches they’ll fix the line he already said it
Like always bottom of the north!!
Between 10-15 is exactly where I expect our offense to be ranked going into next season, if we get the o-line straight then it’s possible that we could see top 10, another factor will be how well Caleb picks up the offense and runs it. I would love to see more offensive games like what we saw when we played Carolina and Jacksonville
Success doesn’t always translate from one team to another because team dynamics, talent, culture, and system fit all matter. Just because Johnson thrived in Detroit doesn’t mean he can replicate it easily in Chicago. Every team has different personnel, coaching staff, and locker room culture. One thing is certain, all eyes will be on Chicago, and in big markets with high-expectation situations, weaknesses get exposed quickly.
@Faiz if injuries happen 7 or 8 wins, if the key 7 to 12 players are all healthy I could see 9 or 10 wins as these players are FINALLY going to get REAL NFL Calibur coaching and player development.
It's fair to be skeptical if this will work, but Ben just seems built for success. And he's taking all the right steps to build a capable staff. If this somehow fails though, I feel like Ben will bounce back somewhere and still be successful. But I hope that it does work and he is successful with the Bears.
GO BEARS 🧡💙🏈🐻⬇️🙏🏾
You absolutely cooked me last offseason with your expectations so this year I’m all ears.
What was his expectations last year
@ exactly what happened. He was pretty spot on and I honestly thought he was dead wrong about that. I should’ve known that without a new coach nothing would truly change.
8-9 should be the expectation and yes league average at LEAST!!.. You cannot get worse than dead last, and considering we went 7-10, 5-12 the past 2 seasons. That's really not much to ask for with hopefully an upgraded offensive line, a real RB1 and a good d line if we get all that right.
7-8 wins. CW 4K passing yards in year one would be good enough improvement for me. Then off to the playoffs the following year
If we address o-line and d-line, Wild Card ceiling
We will win the Super Bowl next year. It's our 40'th anniversary! Let's effin GO!!
4k passing 30td season 10 wins
In my opinion the what I expect from this offseason and this season in general is an offense that is top 15 in the NFL. And an offensive line that has average to above average production. I feel these are fair expectations and I’m not saying a top 5 or even top 10 offense but staying in the upside of the NFL is reasonable for sure
I can tell it’s so hard for you to predict their record. It shouldn’t be low with all the talent but we have zero faith left to pick predict anything good
The Chicago Bears been rebuilding for the last 3 years now they are going into year 4 it's time for the Bears to win their division and go to the playoffs
I'll be ecstatic with a Wild Card road game.
No offensive line help expect the same results pick up 3 solid offensive line starters u can add 2 to 3 wins imo
All new coaching staff with a new system for a young QB, I’m not hopeful. Bears organization is as bad as the Jets so I expect 4-5 wins again. Whenever the projected wins come out, I will take the under.
If we get to the playoffs it dont matter . Simple and plane
Not to have any! Take it week to week and improve every week. The excitement Ben brings with him is all they need and hard work from every player with winning in mind. You are professionals do your job to the best of your personal ability going forward week in and week out. That is all I as a fan want to see. A hard played season is a heck of a step forward for us🐻👎
🐻⬇️
Middle of the pack is what I was thinking.
For me at least playoffs 🐻
Lets have fun putting unreal expectations on another new set of coach/quarterback combo in Chicago. How about reporting about something positive that brings fans together instead creating drama to bolster your likes and subscriptions? My guess is your gonna do whatever makes money regardless of the Fans
My prediction is Bears 11 - 6 and sweep the Packers 2- 0
Playing Detroit twice will be interesting. Campbell knows Ben, Ben knows Campbell.
Never underestimate how bad Eberflus was and how good Johnson is.
Detroit is in disarray, Vikings have 70+ 1/2mill cap with lots of there own FAs and 3 draft picks, last I heard.
Packers are the Packers, won't be that close this yr Bears blow out.!!!
Realistically, I think the Bears can make the playoffs in his first season as head coach.
Bears will be lucky to win 3 games face it until the McCaskeys sell the team and the team loses the stigma of losing nothing will change
9-8
Bear down
Eberflus and coaching lost us 2-3 games EASY with THIS team, so yeah I expect 8-10 wins next year.
Chip or bust!
Let me get this straight.
The excitement surrounding the bears is built on an OC who had
- Elite VET System QB (Top 10 in NFL)
- Elite RBs (Top 3 in NFL)
- Elite O-line (Top 3 in NFL)
- Elite WRs (Top 5 in NFL)
- Good TE (Top 10 in NFL)
All at his disposal with DET, who now has
- Bottom 5 OL
- Average WR room
- a 2nd year QB coming off (5-12)
- who struggles to stay within system
- Avg to below Avg RBs
- Slighty above avg TE
and 5X as much responsibility as HC.
And that excitement/hope stems from an OC/HC and not your generational rookie QB coming into the best situation of any #1 pick in the history of the NFL???
Y’all are funny lol
i love how this comment is so stupid no one cared enough to respond 😂
@@kairavpatel7137 Especially because it seems like he put a lot of work into that.
14 wins for what
In is too early to tell.
As unfair as it might seem, the expectations on Ben Johnson are very high.
32nd TOTAL YARDS
31st PASS YARDS
28th SCORING
with your generational QB who started all 17 games.
So fans are just gonna chalk it up to bad coaching and expect great things from Ben Johnson, Caleb Williams, and the Chicago Bears????
How is no-one concerned about Caleb ???
Caleb absolutely struggles playing
“in system”
The bears would often go scoreless for entire 1st halfs due to this.
This a thing.
It’s real.
Go back to draft night.
7:00 pm CST
Ok bears fans…
It’s on you….
You can take Caleb…
Start him all 17….
Go 5-12
32nd in Total yards
31st in passing yards
28th in scoring offense
Fire the HC
Fire the OC
Hire a new hotshot HC
OR
DRAFT SOMEONE ELSE
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO ????
Every last fan would of voted to draft someone else. 💯
Ben Johnson can’t execute any plays he wants without a competent O Line
Nah faiz the way you talked about Ben Johnson and it’s “Ben or bust” You don’t get to have average expectations to him. Because the way you talked about it makes it sound like he should bring the bears to the super bow year 1😂 so playoffs are a mandatory given he’s the “best candidate”. Quinn took the commanders to the NFC championship year 1. Don’t lower your expectations now
.500
Stop stop please stop knock it off. It’s too early for this…😏🤷🏽♂️
Jayden Daniel’s is your daddy
By the six game, you’ll be calling the fire him and you need to realize no matter what if he doesn’t work out you can never make a suggestion again
Naw it’ll just be a quick little
“Yup. I admit it…I was wrong….bc that 2nd half vs Balt was a complete joke!! Totally unprepared! And as much as I hate to say it…..that’s on Ben Johnson.”
Dude is unserious.
