Just saw Marcus at the Beacon in NYC. His Dad sat right in front of us...! He's quite the proud papa! Really down to earth people!!!! Marcus is the next generation of the southern Rock guitar and MORE!!! Thank God!!!
In my humble opinion Marcus is a generational talent. In the end, he will go down with the likes of Hendrix, Clapton and the other icons of musical history.
Thank you Noah Aiken for sharing this! I turned up the sound and rocked with this one. Hot,hot, hot. This is music and so great to see father and son just so enjoying themselves and playing great music! Wow.
His dad has had a band for years. Marcus used to get on stage when he was a little kid and play his grandpa's guitar. He's a third generation guitarist.
I grew up in Greenville SC listening and watching the Spartanburg boys, Toy and brother Tommy Caldwell along with the Marshall Tucker Band, they were incredible people and one of the best bands ever~! Our hearts were shattered to have lost them both at such a young age. And now, I grew up with Marvin and his excellent guitar playing and have watched his son Marcus grow into a awesome young musician. Marcus is just getting started...look out world because here comes another Upstate Carolina musician that's going to send us all on a wonderful musical journey~!
Hell you probably seen Marcus king Band at Handle bar too then. I from Anderson S.C. I seen Marshall Tucker in 1998 at Old Windells Bar on 29N just heading out of Anderson There, I will never forget it. Windells used to get so huge acts for being a smaller Venue. That bar reminded me of a Small Gilleys They had a Mechanical Bull too! The place burned down and now there’s a Horse Farm there 😢
I seen Marcus and his band the drummer was there, the bass and guitar Player and several Horn players were there at Handle bar in I wanna say 2014 they was on the flat up in front of the window in the bar area, they rocked out like it was a stadium, and there was like about 40 people there! Was a night I will remember for ever was a great show!!
Marcus King is one of my favorite guitarists today...I love his band and the music he is putting out. A cross between Johnny Winter and Otis Redding...that kid's got soul!
Dang You brought tears to this cripple man’s eyes . Y’all brought back so many great memories when the Tucker boys brought so many together . Keep t going We need more of this kind of Great Music Daddy Raised one Great Kid
If this doesn’t put a smile on your face and make you tap your feet, check your pulse 😂😂Not only a great cover but nothing better than father and son jamming on stage 😊
What an awesome feeling to play on stage with your dad, or your son. I don't have either one, so I play music with my friends, my brothers from other mothers. Music is a beautiful thing that blesses the players and the listeners. Thanks for this post.
Much props to Marcus and his band in allowing his beloved kin to absolutely slay in one hell of an awesome way this time honored song of Marshall Tucker band "Cant You See"!!! Well Done Gentlemen!!!
I don't care if you play music or not, a chance to jam on stage with Pops is the best thing ever, Miss you old man! Some day you can jam that air Banjo along with my hair metal bass!
It's cool seeing Marcus on stage with his dad. Billy Strings has also played with his dad on stage. Both are extremely talented and clearly learned a lot of what they know from their dads.
