- How's it going guys, in today's video, I am going to be showing you how to add your own custom text in lightworks. I'm also going to be showing you how to add some effects to that text without the need for any plug-ins!

What I was hoping to figure out was how to control when the text enters and leaves the screen when adding directly in lightworks... does anyone know a video that shows this?
Its unreal how hard it is to find such a simple thing
Late response but... under VFX, right click on the video> hit unfold then go to EDIT> press on V1 and A1 so that it isn't bright blue, and then crop the FX1
I always do it by cutting out the section i want the text to be in and moving the effect there

I know this is late, but for future viewers, you can use lightworks 'titles' VFX to produce words that you can keyframe to do various things. Or, make the text in gimp/inkscape and have it as a transparency that you can import as an IMAGE keyframe, and again, you can keyframe the words to do whatever you please.

Even though this video is really old, if you only want the text for a little bit, you can do put a cut where you want it to appear and do another one where you want it to disappear. After that just go into vfx and it will only last in the area.
You don't need to cut. Use the In and Out markers and put the text between them. (using the Titles)

Yeah i`m able to find the add text button myself but how to control how long the text gets shown or when the text enters and leaves the screen would be really helpfull!

How to add text on multiple videos ? ( I have combined 15pieces 30 seconds videos as 1 video...I would like to add bottom line text on from the beginning untill end, but I can't..It is only adding video on first video...How can I clon or copy text on other video parts...?
Hi there.... How did you add inn your watermark down to the bottom right in your video? Looks really good...
Hey man! I actually added my watermark directly with my RUclips Channel settings. If you go into your creator studio by clicking on your profile you will see a tab labelled as "Community." From there go to branding and you can add any image as a watermark. This works well because people can click on the watermark to be taken to your channel. Hope this helped!

how do you install fonts?
i'm trying to make a lyric video in lightworks and i'm using the Roll text, i've put it all in and stuff, but i can't figure out how to change the speed at which the text rolls.. it's hella slow and doesn't match the audio.. help??
(if you haven't already figured it out)
In the EDIT tab you can right click on the clip to get a menu, then you will see an option for speed, there you can try to adjust the speed to suit your needs.
Or you can use titles instead and set the title effect to 'typewriter' there you can set a speed for the words to go at.
@@folkloreofbeing i tried using this roll thing and got the same problem as this dude. What i first thought was what u said, but there was no speed option there. Please help if you know any other ways
@@yungvlight2198 Is your text effect folded or unfolded? You can set the speed of FX by key framing it at certain points on the clip. The closer to the beginning of the clip you are, the faster the keyframe, and the the closer you are to the end, the slower the keyframe will go.
