Lola beltran was a mexican singer, one of the greatest of all time, and one note, mexico is part of North America, with Canada and USA are part of it, Mexico is not south america
Hi mate. Just two respectful comments: 1. From Canada to Mexico included, we are North America. From Guatemala (south of Mexico to Panama is Central America. And from Colombia to south of Argentina and Chile is South America. 2. In Spanish the double L together as in La Llorona, pronounced Y as in "York" A hug from Guadalajara Mexico.
before the song she said: lola: "I want to tell you one thing, would you allow me?" crowd: "yeeees" lola:"black pidgeon(paloma negra) was not in my tone, I sing it higher, and because I didn't feel comfortable, and given that I know how to say more and give more, I am going to sing it again, oh yes"(music starts)
Lila Downs, Ana Gabriel 's Luna, Lupita De Alessio - Inocente Pobre Amiga, Aaida Cuevas, Natalia Lafourcade, Rosy Arango , so many great Mexican female singers, even without understanding the language, their passion resonates thru music. ❤❤❤
But Lola Beltran was a legend all of her own . She didn't try to sould like anyone else, she created her very special own way of singing with passion from her heart . The other singers are great , but Lola was her own QUEEN of MEXICAN MARIACHI MUSCIC ! VIVA LA VOZ DE LOLA POR SIEMPRE !
Lola Beltrán has a way to tell a story with her voice. She can color her voice to convey all the emotions, she understood the lyrics and the musical notes, she knew how to weave them together to great magical effect. She had a powerful voice and you perfectly described the effects upon the listener, you get lost, you are taken elsewhere. Only another singer had this quality, opera singer Maria Callas. The human voice can be magical.
I'm tired of crying and it's not dawn I do not know whether to curse you or for you I'm afraid to look for you and find you Where my friends assure me that you're going There are times when I would like better to rip And tear off the nails of my penar But my eyes are dying without looking at your eyes And my love with the aurora again awaits you You already took the parrandas on your own Black dove, black dove, where, where will you go? Do not play with my parrandera honors anymore If your caresses should be mine from anyone else And even though I love you with madness, do not come back, Black dove is the gate of a penar I want to be free, live my life with who I want God give me strength, I'm dying to go look for him You already took the parrandas on your own.
You tapped into her energy and her emotion. You don't need to share a common language when someone is giving you everything they have in their performance. What a great reaction.
Thank you for appreciating our music. You pronounced her name right. Lola was a great storyteller and an amazing vocalist. She had the gift of drawing her audience and transmit her emotions to her audience. There’s no one like her. React to Jenny Rivera. Aida Cuevas el Pastor is a good one too. Ya no Vivo por Viver a duet from Juan Gabriel and Natalia Lafourcade is amazing. If you’re a fan of CCR checkout Quiro Creedence. Several Latinos play an homage to CCR. Juan Gabriel sang Have you Ever Seen the Rain. His was a happy tone. He called it Gracias al Sol. Cheers from San Antonio Texas. 😊
@@GOTGames Have you heard of Soda Stereo? It’s a rock band from Argentina. They were amazing. The lead singer and guitarist, Gustavo Cerati, sadly passed away in 2014. Chris Martin from Cold Martin sang one of his songs De Musica Ligera in Argentina as a tribute to Gustavo.

She was saying basically that she sings "Paloma negra" on a higher pitch, so she will sing it again, I'm missing the context but I think that she sang it before and wasn't happy with it, so she decided to sing it again.
It was 1981, Lola Beltrán was about 50 years old, the Mariachi band was not that good according to some, Lola Beltrán was not satisfied with the first version of that song so she sang it again.
She says that she already sang the song but she didn´t like it because she can sing in a higher speech. She said that she was going to sing it again in her speech.
So apparently at the beginning of this video she had finished her concert but she didn’t feel confiable because the song Paloma negra ( black dove ) was not in her tone, she said she usually sings it in a higher note and she decided to sing it again because she knew she could do it better

You should also ask someone who speaks Spanish, to translate some dialogs... Lola is explaining at the beginning, that she had previoulsy sang that song and she was not pleased with the former one, since she sang it in the wong tone. She is telling the public that she sings it in a higher one, so she sang it again, the way she thoght was the correct one.

I'm going to pull the pain up with the love you taught me.
Oh, what a pain!

But it was never that important

So let's make peace.
