I’m a dive right in kind of person lol but I’d say altering clothes is a good way to get comfortable with the sewing machine. I learned to sew by getting clothes at the thrift store and refashioning them into clothes that were more flattering and fitting. Dropping in to your local fabric store and picking up a simple pattern to start getting used to making your own clothes from scratch is a good idea too. And googling and RUclips to help along the way is what really brought me to where I am today. I think sewing looks harder than it is and if you just jump right in you’ll be making your own clothes in no time 😊

I think you definitely should. It does take practice and practice lol but it’s very rewarding when you start to get it. Start easy and before you know it you’ll be able to sew anything you like
