My Naija people you hear? Your own country man is saying it. Afrobeats draws a lot from highlife which is Ghanaian. Thus we have inspired and made a contribution to what the genre is today. We know it but anytime WE say it, you want to fight . And you tell us we want to reap where we have not sown . I hope you heard it from your own country man. Highlife is Ghana 🇬🇭 west Africa but the sounds are different. Ghana made it authentic and moved it to the next level same as Nigeria 🇳🇬 also took the music to the next stage as well as South Africa 🇿🇦 added more vibes to the African music. One music Africa

Afrobeats is from highlife. Afrobeats is actually hiplife without rap. So basically Afrobeats is from Ghana. Naija just took hiplife and took away the rap from it. When you listen to VIP, Buk-Bak, Kwadwo Antwi. Lumba, etc. in the 90's.. the music is basically Afrobeats. Nigeria just packaged the sound better.

Am very much aware of all of these. Even Shatta wale messaged Naira marley on IG to ask for a song feature. Their movie industry is dead a leaf. One actor in Nigeria would just produce a traditional movie and leave it in a cinema; and within a month, the movie makes over 224 million naira and counting. Why won't they come? Most of them are living permanently in Lagos.
I just want them to do that ban Nigerian stuff they talked about; so that we would show them pepper.
