O I love the Mooney M20C. Flew them a lot on charter.Great aeroplane. That high aspect ration wing and that bullet proof gear retraction. The short strip performance is excellent. 600 yard crop duster strip are fine with a Mooney. In my opinion one of the most beautiful and well performing aircraft ever built.
I personally love precision and attention to detail , and you sir have that in spades. I started flying in 1969, and got to do a few hops in these era Mooney's. I loved them. Great work, look forward to your content.
Will all of those who don't like a Mooney, please raise your hand? (Crickets....) I LOVE Mooneys and I love yours even more than dirty ones, really! BUT, I hate that they can't be flown like a Cub. Very frustrating watching a 30 minute flight because there literally isn't 1 minute of 'down time' for the pilot- even the most experienced pilots have a very high load at all times. You can never say "Hey, let's do a couple of touch & go's for fun with a Mooney- knowwhatimean, Mark? End of whining. What a great plane to fly to Oshkosh with your dad, what a great cross country plane, how efficient is this super robust platform, what a great flight envelope & the opportunity to spend serious dollars is virtually endless. Yes, that IS jealousy rearing its ugly head, and, super happy that you added one to your fleet 'O three. It's a perfect fit, allowing you to remain current for IFR, make visiting family & friends easier, night flying, etc... Speaking of crickets- any video updates on EITHER the Cub or the Sonex? I mean the Van's and Rans- whatever! You know what I mean! The KITplanes- like the name of the channel? Just asking, because, I subscribed for content and I'm feeling the need for a Mark Pensenstadler 'perfection' attempt with details... Like the channel, like your videos, enjoy pretty much all of it. Asking for more- that's all! Dave
@@KitplaneEnthusiast Well, NOW we know where you've been! My buddy used to HATE the annuals- 3 weeks in hot, sweaty TX with too many other pilots to get into trouble with. It's like hard work & a spousal hall pass at the same time. Too much fun & too much hard work at the same time. As he got older, it got harder- he finally had to pass on the nights.... Ahhhhh, the joys of middle age!!! But, acing the re-ups are much easier! I just re-read my 'post' and it was meant to be funny, but- could've been mis-read as mean. You definitely seem to get the true intent but apparently my jealousy over your current situation: garage hanger with 3 Awesome planes, runway in the cul-de-sac and difficult (in so many ways) job of pilot just sort of seeps through. But, the offset is the gratitude that you share your passion via RUclips with us. I'll keep recommending your channel, and soon we'll have all of the other subs from: Trent, MoJo Mike, Dan J. & those pesky (but talented) Flying Cowboys... You'll be getting your Gold YT plaque & thinking about only making content, selling stickers & flying! Idea: Make a video where someone can win a flight with you in their choice of plane. It'll motivate you to completion on one (focus), get more interaction with your subscribers- I'm not a 'joiner' but- even I would do it! I've been dying to get up to Canada and help Steve with his RV-14 build, and, I think a ton of others have either gone up to help, or are planning a trip to do it when he's working on it! Very interactive, while he completes his IFR rating.... Can never say Thank You enough, but, Thank You! for all of your hard work including editting. People think that these videos are simple- not so easy to maintain flow without have cuts, light changes, etc.... Thank You!
You're now in good position to extol on the different ownership/operational virtues of factory vs experimental vs LSA certified aircraft. Each type of aircraft certification has a unique set of merits and could be good video material.
Love the Mooney! Good detail tips too. I use zep foaming degreaser from HomeDepot to clean my Cessnas belly from oil. It is aluminum safe and only about $5 a can. It worked grea!
Yet another awesome video! I really love your cool tips you provide plus it’s fun to watch a guy living my dream! And putting it out there on video for all of us to enjoy! BTW - I’ve ordered several KitFox shirts from you and I wanted to say here for others: the shirts are super high quality and they fit great. I love all of mine! I’ll be ordering more, too. Thanks again for the great videos!

Hi Corban, I don't have any other footage of buffing the Mooney other than what's in this video, but are you referring to the video when I go through the whole process of sanding, buffing, and polishing? I've moved a few videos to my new RUclips channel called "Kitplane Adventures" but I haven't told anyone about the new channel yet. If you want to see that video here is the link: ruclips.net/video/kqbL6-vCPhk/видео.html Make sure you subscribe to the new channel! I'll be promoting it soon with a whole series of videos on getting my Cruzer certified and ready for the first flight!

What size are the washers? Are they the same size all over the plane?

Very nice! I’ll be sure to bring a can of WD40 to my Mooney next time! Happy landings!
I'm sure all that dirt adds up to some sort of weight difference.
I want to see more Zenith videos. Its been far to long.
