Here is my analysis of the last episode...the time travelers seizes to exist. That include JG’s father and TY’s mom. May be even TY as JG’s mom. So in the last ep when he doesn’t recognise TY it means she is not his mom in this world. And TY existing in this world means her mom is not a time traveler. They are completely different individuals who have no relation with the ppl existed in paradox (the episodes till now). Remember that now JG’s mom and TY lived in the same world and they are not same person anymore. I’m happy with the ending. Very well written👏🏼
I'm in with this..this PJG(architech) is a doppelganger of PJG the detective with diff parents,that's why he did'nt recognise her when they met. The detective is a son of time traveler so when reset happen although it started in 2010 the supposed death year of PSY but the fact that she is a time traveler her existence from 92-2010 also cease to exist..that means TY and PJG in that timeline are completely not related at all
Even if this Jin Geum is just a reincarnation of time-traveller JG and not the time-traveller himself , it is still creepy that the writer suggested romantical feeling between him and 2020 TaeYi, after nearly 16 hours of heart-wrenching story of mother and son. They should stop when architect JG didn't recognise her.
In my opinion they’re not become a boy friend - girl friend relationship. Just flash back and remember in Episode 7 : Jim Gyeom said that Professor Yoon Tae Yi is special for him, but it doesn’t mean that He like ( love) her.
From Ep. 1-15, I was left in awe and suspense. Alice was such a profound drama, and even though the ending was not the exact outcome I expected, it was still an ending that gave me closure. I have no regrets with this drama, and I’m happy the ending was a happy one, rather than a bittersweet one.
If time travel ends, how Taeyi meets Jin gyeom, I don't understand. Everything is supposed to be reset. I would have preferred a happy ending with minhyuk and taeyi in 2050. It would have made more sense.
If minyuk and yoon tae is not a good ending because it will just repeat the story that means there is such thing as time travel . So in this dimention and last episode, yoon tae changed her mind not to pursue her goals to create time travel because SHE travel through time already that made her think her future as mother of JG and as a scientist/agent of alice. And for JG, he got this dejavu feeling of his soulmate which is yoon tae. Thats my conclusion of this story.
Here's my opinion.. Jin geyum who stopped the time traveling.. dissappeared with the evil one.. and the current Jin Geuym who didn't recognize professor Yoon Tea Yi is the teenager who decided to go with his mom to the grocery store in her birthday after the time was reset.. that's why he didn't have to enter police academy because his mother wasn't killed.. and was able to regain his memory. But he is already someone from the future who supposed to be born in 2050.. So he should've dissappeared with his mother.. Also I'm feeling bad about Min Hyuk (my favorite character) the writer didn't give justice to his character.. he suffered from his lover leaving him though he agreed to stay with her.. and when he finally found his family in 2020 he was killed and then disappeared with the time travelers.. which mean he will live in the future without being able to see Tea Yi and his son forever this is really sad ending for him and cruel one.. this drama is really good and all the actors did a great job.. but I wished if it focused more in family reunion and Min Hyuk and Tea Yi story I was really attracted to their sences together..

엔딩 자체가 오류입니다. 박진겸 자체가 존재하지 않아야 하는건데 존재하게 내버려둔건 작가나 연출자의 욕심이거나 출연 계약서 때문인거 같아보입니다. 윤태이의 임신을 기점에서 시작된 타임루프가 16화 1부에서 2010년으로 온 늙은 박진겸과 윤태이가 죽음으로서 타임루프는 끝이나고 윤태이의 말대로 리셋이 되었어야 합니다. 그러면 타임루프는 그렇게 끝이나고 2010년의 과거로온 윤태이와 박진겸역시 아예 역사속에서 사라져야 하는데 여기서부터가 제작진의 실수?오류입니다. 아마도 엔딩을 미리 구상하고 거기에 짜맞추다보니 이런 시나리오 패러독스가 발생한듯 보임. 뭐 그냥저냥 드라마니깐 그냥 과거로온 윤태이랑 고딩 박진겸 둘의 시간만 잘~흘러서 어찌어찌 살아남았다 쳐도? 엔딩 장면은 오류입니다. 한옥 건축현장에서 윤태이와 마주친 박진겸은 사실 심각하게 놀라야 정상이겠죠? 왜? 자신의 엄마와 똑같이 생긴 여자를 본거니까요. 아예 쌩까고 지나가는 설정자체 역시 엔딩이 미리 정해져서 극적효과를 위한 시나리오 페러독스인듯 보입니다. 아무래도 이 드라마는 정말 기가막힌 참신한 소재를 가지고도 끝처리를 잘못하는 바람에 이건 뭐 시즌2에 대한 기대감도없고 오류투성이의 엔딩만 남고 말았습니다. 아직 우리나라의 sf 장르물은 갈길이 멀구나...
Al parecer las cosas se reiniciaron desde que ella decidió quedarse y entonces no conoce a los policías y no es amigo de su eterna enamorada, y decide tener otra profesión, arquitecto. Quedan muchas dudas de porque coexisten las dos en el mismo universo aunque fue ella la que abrió la puerta del tiempo y por eso tiene ese poder, podría ser. Aunque creo que el recuerda todo también por ser alguien especial pero creo que debieron quedar cada uno sin conocer al otro, la madre hubiera conocido más adelante a Min Hyuk que fue alguien que me enamoro, ella podría dar a luz más adelante a Jin Gyeom y sabiendo lo que paso solo sería profesora, no buscaría la puerta del tiempo y todos felices. Este capítulo si te deja algo confundido parece dejar algunos vacíos al final, aunque fue un excelente drama.
This is my conclusion and i am satisfied of the end part. Last episode says it all and it means there will be no part 2 because its very clear that this dimension(last episode) there is no such thing as time travel !!! Why? It wont happen because YT is a time traveller in this episode, i mean she is the only 1 left since she remember everything she had through as a scientist and as a MOTHER of JG. Since she created the time travel, lets say she is looking for an answer to end because she finally remember everything and it turns out to be not a good idea of creating time travel so this time that she know her story , she is now a professor, she wont do any further research about time travel. So if there is no creation of time travel, no one is travelling thru time ever again. For architech JG, in this final episode, he has this visions thats why he draw all this may be we can call dejavu since ge is part of the YT history while travelling hapoens to be her son. I really like to understand this show but think of the point of view the year 2020 YT was a professor. Since JG did something from the other dinension which is killing his old man self, that means on the year 2020, something must be change, happens to be that they are soulmates.

@@zeroxane really.. I think he is the teenager in 2010.the time was reset until 2010, that's what I understand the mother and the son didn't dissappear after time reset, so there is already Jin Geuym and his mother.
The question now is, if there will be a second season, because there are some gaps in history.
The most important person is Park Jin-Gyeom's grandmother, because from this woman started the time travel!
If there is no second season, then the reset should have been different.
1) Park Jin-Gyeom should normally be born in the year 2.050 - 2.051
2) Yoon Tae-Yi can exist, because her mother was a regular time traveler and came from the distant future (2,986, 3,986, 11,986 ...). Until then, time flowed normally and had not been violated yet.
3) There are many future tools and weapons that will take centuries to make them:
1) Anti-gravity drones 2) Folding Arms 3) Tools for death row inmates 4) The book of prophecy 5) Medicaments for radioactivity , etc.
In this case, the end should be as follows:
1) Yoon Tae-Yi wakes up in the year 2,020 2) She is looking for Park Jin-Yeom 3) When she is talking to journalist Kim Do-Yion, the journalist is talking about an architect, Yoo Min-Hyuk! (Not for Park Jin-Yeom, but for his father, Yoo Min-Hyuk!) 4) She runs to meet him, but he does not remember her! He falls in love with her at first sight but he does not recognize her! And as he leaves and goes to his architectural office, he starts painting her and then he remembers! And he runs to Park Jin-Yeom's house and there he meets the sad Yoon Tae-Yi!
( The following could also be added:
Yoon Tae-Yi now recognizes that Park Jin-Gyeom will be her son and Yoo Min-Hyuk will be Park Jin-Gyeom's father.
A love affair develops between them, as at the beginning of the series, they become a couple and get married and give birth to their son in the year 2.022.
Because they know all the facts, they decide:
1) With the police chief (Go Hyeon-Seok) and his wife (Kim In-Sook) , to become family friends and because they do not have any children their son (Park Jin-Gyeom) to see them as Uncle and Aunt and to have a very good and warm friendly relationship and to inspire him to become a police officer.
2) With the journalist (Kim Do-Yeon) who interviewed and helped their reunion, to make her the godmother of their son (Park Jin-Gyeom) , and she (Kim Do-Yeon) could marry Kim Dong-Ho .
3) And when Park Jin-Gyeom will be 18 years old (in the year 2.040) to enter the Police Academy. And when he will be the best of the Police Academy graduates, they should all take pictures with Park Jin-Gyeom.
And with a narration from Yoon Tae-Yi as at the beginning of the series, about the time and the pain of the people and if we have to escape from the pain with time travel, the series should end, with a happy ending!

1000% with you, the series just ended with the probability of them having romantic relationship doesn’t make sense, because of science. She’s still the same person in the aspect of DNA, so meaning it basically incest. Like WTF. Plus with this ending, it kinda gives up on its own concept of story. Meaning that the start, meant nothing, if they aren’t gonna followed the basic rules.
A lot of unsatisfied viewers. I don't get it. It was a good drama, I loved it. I will watch it again from the beginning. Ending leaves us hanging. Is one of the actors going to explain things like Jin Se Yeon did for Born Again (which also left us guessing as to what happened in the end)? Joo Won playing someone who draws well again (remember his role in The Good Doctor?) If you want romance, just go to the videos of the press call and curtain call of Ghost. You'll get it there; otherwise, just enjoy the drama for what it is...a drama. I so loved the mother and son dynamic here, and how things changed after he killed the old JG. Notice the difference in the birthday celebration, the change in attitude, change in situation. While I will watch this drama again, I am going to watch another drama of a musical actor as well (Kairos with Shin Sung Rok. While Joo Won juggled Alice and Ghost, Shin Sung Rok will be juggling Kairos and Monte Cristo)😊 Musical actors make good drama actors (Shin Sung Rok, Joo Won, Yu Jun Sang, Jang Seung Jo, Park Gun Hyung, Han Ji Sang, Min Woo Hyuk, Kim Seung Dae, Choi Woo Hyuk II). I'm surprised K-drama hasn't tried to get Jeon Dong Suk (unless attempts were made but he was not interested). Now he would attract viewers as well. 😊❤

RESET-all time traveler will disappear.events that related to all the time traveler changed. JINGEOM save his mom in 2o10-yes,but she's a time traveler so her existence cease to exist regardless of the time that Reset happen

I've reviewed Alice, and I have new thoughts... The ending was left open, so it could be that yes, they were together romantically in this new life, new time, I dont know. But I think they could just be family. Like, they love each other! But it doesn't have to be a romantic love. I think it could be those two options. If you consider the entire history of the drama, I think it was the second option. From what we've seen, I think it's the second option. But I have a theory (which may not even be a theory, but as what I would have written this drama, because really, from episode 10 onwards, they just confused things, and didn't explain anything, not even about Alice, they did! ) Theory ( or what I would have done, to improve this ending) : First - This drama left a lot confused about her being his mother or not. That was the big mistake. To me, the teacher is not his mother!!!! His mother gained that mark when she entered Alice, there was a whole process for her to earn that mark. The teacher won the mark, because she had contact with her doppelganger (the detective's mother). Why do I think so? This happened with the detective too, when he had contact with his other self, the evil one, he started to get evil too, and he started having those things in his body, just like the another version of him. Second - I think in the end the architect is not the detective!!!! The detective disappeared along with his mother and father!!!!! So... The detective would be the architect's doppelganger (because he was born in 2050). For me the story of this drama was always about the detective not being able to meet the teacher! They should never have met! because he was supposed to be born in 2050!!! And the ending explains it! The teacher's story is with the architect!!!! Now if you take this doppelganger thing into account, maybe, in this thing of the detective all the time going back to the past, the teacher going to the future, maybe, the architect met the detective, on some of these time travels? So he has memories of the teacher Yon Tae, because of this???! I think if they had written better, and gone that way, the ending wouldn't have been so confusing. And it would make more sense! Because none of this would have happened, if his mother hadn't traveled through time, and changed universes. The teacher would not have known the detective. She would only have met the architect!!! And my theory probably has 0 foundations. But, I think that, and if they explained it, detail by detail, it would be much better than this ending, which didn't make sense. That said, I watched Alice for the second time and loved it! The last two episodes didn't make any sense. It was poorly written! The ending was pointless. But even so, I was happy that they found each other again, either according to the drama, or according to my theory. Whether as a family, or romantically. I'm divided, because I'm happy, but at the same time... the drama deserved an ending that made sense!!!
Another thing that proves to me that the teacher is not his mother is when his father meets the teacher! He was totally surprised to see her there that year. Alice's team too! If it was her, wouldn't they have figured this out sooner??? (Alice's team that hid things) And why have we never seen the version of his father in this timeline??? He also traveled through time. That year ( the present) the detective's parents had not yet been born, or they were babies. It's very confusing! If she really is his mother, the writing of this drama was really crazy! They didn't explain much!!! I think if it had been 18 episodes instead of 16, maybe the writer wouldn't have rushed the story, and focused only on the evil detective. And explained better if the drama was about doppelganger, time travel, or both together??
Well, they will be, but as what? If Tae Yi still has all those memories, she's rather creepy with a serious Jocasta complex, especially after she experienced the coexistence of Mom Tae Yi during the time travel (with the omega forming on the back of her neck). The reset redid Do Yeon, so that freed Tae Yi to run after Jin Gyeom who didn't remember her at first, but finally did with that deja vu feeling of his. So does he still remember her as mom and stay with her as such, or does he turn Oedipus on Jocasta?
After watching a second time for better clarification this is my opinion...I liked the ending and do believe they will be romantic. I don't really understand why people are so up in arms about it. Its only a drama. It was quite clear throughout that 2020 Professor TY was in love with Detective JG. There were so many hints even in the OST "Like Bonnie and Clyde, we ride or die.." Bonnie and Clyde were lovers! I honestly think he was showing some romantic feelings for her and truly cared about her and not see her as a woman that looked like his mother but see her for herself. At one point especially in ep.9 they made it seem like they were dating and TY was crying over the man she loved. And maybe it was just me, but I never seen her as his mother. Like they said it multiple times. While I do agree the whole plot/time lines were confusing and blurry, so I just focused on the relationships and subtleties. Like in the last episode when (his mother died for the zillionth time) he was saying goodbye to her like he won't be able to be her son anymore after the reset that dialogue before he disappeared was telling. I think after the reset its clear that they're be together romantically. Its still evident the TY loves him, she was still crying over him until the very end lol. No one knows him and when he saw her he didn't know her so that lets me know she doesn't look like his mother. And notice the pictures that he was drawing were of Professor TY not his mother, its like a longing for her he is remembering her specifically he knew she was waiting for him. I'm happy with the ending, I wish I could have seen more of their lives together in this new time/dimension but I'll just imagine on my own.

A drama with potential but in the end, it turns out to be one of the worst. They run into circle for 16 episodes with unexplained plots and a wtf ending.

This stupid endind sorry. But if all the time travelers dissappeare,then Jin Geuym mother's should also dissappear with her son and return to the future, and have her son there.. Plus why didn't he recognize the professor or at least get surprised when she looks exactly like his mother.. Finally why they are still forcing the love line between mother and son till the end when the writer showed us clearly that she is his mother in the previous episode? Seriously!?? .. I hope the happy ending was the reunion if the three family members in the future.. And the professor meets the past Min Hyuk just like the future.. Really dissapointed with the ending..[ sorry for my bad English].
Well who knows? Maybe a romance develops between them (there is a big question mark on their situation after finding each other) and Min Hyuk ends up being their son. 🤣🤣🤣

I think this drama doesn't support the family concept.. The leads should end up together just because they are the leads..while she can't end with the second lead although she must.. he is the father after all, and both couples were really great together.. anyway I think the real winer is Oh Si Young when both Yoon Tae Yi stayed in the past.. finally she can have Min Hyuk for herself in the future her dream comes true🤣. But l still I like the drama.

When Tae Yi was talking to Min Hyuk about JG forgiving him, they sounded like divorced parents (I'm speaking from firsthand experience. They sounded like me and my ex-husband talking about our son). Even Prof Tae Yi seemed to be turning into Mom Tae Yi. And by that time, when JG saw the omega on the back of Prof's neck, he should have known by that time that she was Mom. Episode 16 until the reset was good. It was the reset that left many questions. And...he built the house he lived in when he was a kid (when there was time travel)??? Did he exist before he was born? Since he said he drew the images at random before building them, I went, "Huh..." But what is in their minds after finding each other in the end? Prof should know by now that she became his mother. No reset can change that (unless she really wanted to be free to pursue him). After looking and sounding like Mom Tae Yi when Min Hyuk died, she suddenly changes back into Jocasta? And if the regaining of his memory of Prof has him running back to her, what is on his mind? Does he suddenly become Oedipus now that he is capable of emotion (either from learning from the time travel period or because the disappearance of time travelers means that he did not get any congenital defects from radiation)? But like you, I still love the drama. I'll watch it again from the beginning.

So in this dimention and last episode, yoon tae changed her mind not to pursue her goals to create time travel because SHE travel through time already that made her think her future as mother of JG and as a scientist/agent of alice. And for JG, he got this dejavu feeling of his soulmate which is yoon tae. Thats my conclusion of this story.

Here's my opinion.. Jin geyum who stopped the time traveling.. dissappeared with the evil one.. and the current Jin Geuym who didn't recognize professor Yoon Tea Yi is the teenager who decided to go with his mom to the grocery store in her birthday after the time was reset.. that's why he didn't have to enter police academy because his mother wasn't killed.. and was able to regain his memory. But he is already someone from the future who supposed to be born in 2050.. So he should've dissappeared with his mother.. Also I'm feeling bad about Min Hyuk (my favorite character) the writer didn't give justice to his character.. he suffered from his lover leaving him though he agreed to stay with her.. and when he finally found his family in 2020 he was killed and then disappeared with the time travelers.. which mean he will live in the future without being able to see Tea Yi and his son forever this is really sad ending for him and cruel one.. this drama is really good and all the actors did a great job.. but I wished if it focused more in family reunion and Min Hyuk and Tea Yi story I was really attracted to their sences together..

엔딩 자체가 오류입니다.
박진겸 자체가 존재하지 않아야 하는건데 존재하게 내버려둔건 작가나 연출자의 욕심이거나 출연 계약서 때문인거 같아보입니다.
윤태이의 임신을 기점에서 시작된 타임루프가 16화 1부에서 2010년으로 온 늙은 박진겸과 윤태이가 죽음으로서 타임루프는 끝이나고 윤태이의 말대로 리셋이 되었어야 합니다.
그러면 타임루프는 그렇게 끝이나고 2010년의 과거로온 윤태이와 박진겸역시 아예 역사속에서 사라져야 하는데 여기서부터가 제작진의 실수?오류입니다. 아마도 엔딩을 미리 구상하고 거기에 짜맞추다보니 이런 시나리오 패러독스가 발생한듯 보임.
뭐 그냥저냥 드라마니깐 그냥 과거로온 윤태이랑 고딩 박진겸 둘의 시간만 잘~흘러서 어찌어찌 살아남았다 쳐도? 엔딩 장면은 오류입니다.
한옥 건축현장에서 윤태이와 마주친 박진겸은 사실 심각하게 놀라야 정상이겠죠?
왜? 자신의 엄마와 똑같이 생긴 여자를 본거니까요.
아예 쌩까고 지나가는 설정자체 역시 엔딩이 미리 정해져서 극적효과를 위한 시나리오 페러독스인듯 보입니다.
아무래도 이 드라마는 정말 기가막힌 참신한 소재를 가지고도 끝처리를 잘못하는 바람에 이건 뭐 시즌2에 대한 기대감도없고 오류투성이의 엔딩만 남고 말았습니다.
아직 우리나라의 sf 장르물은 갈길이 멀구나...

Al parecer las cosas se reiniciaron desde que ella decidió quedarse y entonces no conoce a los policías y no es amigo de su eterna enamorada, y decide tener otra profesión, arquitecto.
Quedan muchas dudas de porque coexisten las dos en el mismo universo aunque fue ella la que abrió la puerta del tiempo y por eso tiene ese poder, podría ser.
Aunque creo que el recuerda todo también por ser alguien especial pero creo que debieron quedar cada uno sin conocer al otro, la madre hubiera conocido más adelante a Min Hyuk que fue alguien que me enamoro, ella podría dar a luz más adelante a Jin Gyeom y sabiendo lo que paso solo sería profesora, no buscaría la puerta del tiempo y todos felices.
Este capítulo si te deja algo confundido parece dejar algunos vacíos al final, aunque fue un excelente drama.

This is my conclusion and i am satisfied of the end part.
Last episode says it all and it means there will be no part 2 because its very clear that this dimension(last episode) there is no such thing as time travel !!! Why? It wont happen because YT is a time traveller in this episode, i mean she is the only 1 left since she remember everything she had through as a scientist and as a MOTHER of JG. Since she created the time travel, lets say she is looking for an answer to end because she finally remember everything and it turns out to be not a good idea of creating time travel so this time that she know her story , she is now a professor, she wont do any further research about time travel. So if there is no creation of time travel, no one is travelling thru time ever again. For architech JG, in this final episode, he has this visions thats why he draw all this may be we can call dejavu since ge is part of the YT history while travelling hapoens to be her son. I really like to understand this show but think of the point of view the year 2020 YT was a professor. Since JG did something from the other dinension which is killing his old man self, that means on the year 2020, something must be change, happens to be that they are soulmates.

Until then, time flowed normally and had not been violated yet.
3) There are many future tools and weapons that will take centuries to make them:
1) Anti-gravity drones
2) Folding Arms
3) Tools for death row inmates
4) The book of prophecy
5) Medicaments for radioactivity , etc.
In this case, the end should be as follows:
1) Yoon Tae-Yi wakes up in the year 2,020
2) She is looking for Park Jin-Yeom
3) When she is talking to journalist Kim Do-Yion,

A lot of unsatisfied viewers. I don't get it. It was a good drama, I loved it. I will watch it again from the beginning. Ending leaves us hanging. Is one of the actors going to explain things like Jin Se Yeon did for Born Again (which also left us guessing as to what happened in the end)? Joo Won playing someone who draws well again (remember his role in The Good Doctor?) If you want romance, just go to the videos of the press call and curtain call of Ghost. You'll get it there; otherwise, just enjoy the drama for what it is...a drama. I so loved the mother and son dynamic here, and how things changed after he killed the old JG. Notice the difference in the birthday celebration, the change in attitude, change in situation. While I will watch this drama again, I am going to watch another drama of a musical actor as well (Kairos with Shin Sung Rok. While Joo Won juggled Alice and Ghost, Shin Sung Rok will be juggling Kairos and Monte Cristo)😊 Musical actors make good drama actors (Shin Sung Rok, Joo Won, Yu Jun Sang, Jang Seung Jo, Park Gun Hyung, Han Ji Sang, Min Woo Hyuk, Kim Seung Dae, Choi Woo Hyuk II). I'm surprised K-drama hasn't tried to get Jeon Dong Suk (unless attempts were made but he was not interested). Now he would attract viewers as well. 😊❤

I've reviewed Alice, and I have new thoughts...
The ending was left open, so it could be that yes, they were together romantically in this new life, new time, I dont know.
But I think they could just be family. Like, they love each other! But it doesn't have to be a romantic love. I think it could be those two options. If you consider the entire history of the drama, I think it was the second option. From what we've seen, I think it's the second option.
But I have a theory (which may not even be a theory, but as what I would have written this drama, because really, from episode 10 onwards, they just confused things, and didn't explain anything, not even about Alice, they did! )
Theory ( or what I would have done, to improve this ending) :
First -
This drama left a lot confused about her being his mother or not. That was the big mistake.
To me, the teacher is not his mother!!!!
His mother gained that mark when she entered Alice, there was a whole process for her to earn that mark. The teacher won the mark, because she had contact with her doppelganger (the detective's mother).
Why do I think so? This happened with the detective too, when he had contact with his other self, the evil one, he started to get evil too, and he started having those things in his body, just like the another version of him.
Second - I think in the end the architect is not the detective!!!! The detective disappeared along with his mother and father!!!!!
So... The detective would be the architect's doppelganger (because he was born in 2050).
For me the story of this drama was always about the detective not being able to meet the teacher! They should never have met! because he was supposed to be born in 2050!!!
And the ending explains it!
The teacher's story is with the architect!!!!
Now if you take this doppelganger thing into account, maybe, in this thing of the detective all the time going back to the past, the teacher going to the future, maybe, the architect met the detective, on some of these time travels? So he has memories of the teacher Yon Tae, because of this???!
I think if they had written better, and gone that way, the ending wouldn't have been so confusing.
And it would make more sense!
Because none of this would have happened, if his mother hadn't traveled through time, and changed universes.
The teacher would not have known the detective. She would only have met the architect!!!
And my theory probably has 0 foundations.
But, I think that, and if they explained it, detail by detail, it would be much better than this ending, which didn't make sense.
That said, I watched Alice for the second time and loved it! The last two episodes didn't make any sense. It was poorly written! The ending was pointless. But even so, I was happy that they found each other again, either according to the drama, or according to my theory. Whether as a family, or romantically.
I'm divided, because I'm happy, but at the same time... the drama deserved an ending that made sense!!!
Another thing that proves to me that the teacher is not his mother is when his father meets the teacher!
He was totally surprised to see her there that year. Alice's team too!
If it was her, wouldn't they have figured this out sooner??? (Alice's team that hid things)
And why have we never seen the version of his father in this timeline??? He also traveled through time.
That year ( the present) the detective's parents had not yet been born, or they were babies.

Well, they will be, but as what? If Tae Yi still has all those memories, she's rather creepy with a serious Jocasta complex, especially after she experienced the coexistence of Mom Tae Yi during the time travel (with the omega forming on the back of her neck). The reset redid Do Yeon, so that freed Tae Yi to run after Jin Gyeom who didn't remember her at first, but finally did with that deja vu feeling of his. So does he still remember her as mom and stay with her as such, or does he turn Oedipus on Jocasta?
After watching a second time for better clarification this is my opinion...I liked the ending and do believe they will be romantic. I don't really understand why people are so up in arms about it. Its only a drama. It was quite clear throughout that 2020 Professor TY was in love with Detective JG. There were so many hints even in the OST "Like Bonnie and Clyde, we ride or die.." Bonnie and Clyde were lovers! I honestly think he was showing some romantic feelings for her and truly cared about her and not see her as a woman that looked like his mother but see her for herself. At one point especially in ep.9 they made it seem like they were dating and TY was crying over the man she loved. And maybe it was just me, but I never seen her as his mother. Like they said it multiple times. While I do agree the whole plot/time lines were confusing and blurry, so I just focused on the relationships and subtleties. Like in the last episode when (his mother died for the zillionth time) he was saying goodbye to her like he won't be able to be her son anymore after the reset that dialogue before he disappeared was telling. I think after the reset its clear that they're be together romantically. Its still evident the TY loves him, she was still crying over him until the very end lol. No one knows him and when he saw her he didn't know her so that lets me know she doesn't look like his mother. And notice the pictures that he was drawing were of Professor TY not his mother, its like a longing for her he is remembering her specifically he knew she was waiting for him. I'm happy with the ending, I wish I could have seen more of their lives together in this new time/dimension but I'll just imagine on my own.

Finally why they are still forcing the love line between mother and son till the end when the writer showed us clearly that she is his mother in the previous episode? Seriously!?? .. I hope the happy ending was the reunion if the three family members in the future.. And the professor meets the past Min Hyuk just like the future.. When Tae Yi was talking to Min Hyuk about JG forgiving him, they sounded like divorced parents (I'm speaking from firsthand experience. They sounded like me and my ex-husband talking about our son). Even Prof Tae Yi seemed to be turning into Mom Tae Yi. And by that time, when JG saw the omega on the back of Prof's neck, he should have known by that time that she was Mom. Episode 16 until the reset was good. It was the reset that left many questions. And...he built the house he lived in when he was a kid (when there was time travel)??? Did he exist before he was born? Since he said he drew the images at random before building them, I went, "Huh..." But what is in their minds after finding each other in the end? Prof should know by now that she became his mother. No reset can change that (unless she really wanted to be free to pursue him). After looking and sounding like Mom Tae Yi when Min Hyuk died, she suddenly changes back into Jocasta? And if the regaining of his memory of Prof has him running back to her, what is on his mind? Does he suddenly become Oedipus now that he is capable of emotion (either from learning from the time travel period or because the disappearance of time travelers means that he did not get any congenital defects from radiation)? But like you, I still love the drama. I'll watch it again from the beginning.
