If you only need to do a few then sure. But if you're doing a lot of crimps then a cheap but good IDC crimper is only $16

Right now, I'm designing a circuit that needs to be connected to another board. Since I am aiming for a compact design, I opted for ribbon cables as my connector to the other board! Do you mind telling me the part numbers to those components you used? I am having trouble looking for one.

IDC10 or ICD 10 Pin connector. Other thing is just the ribbon 10+ wires will do.
