    Hi Migardener. I live in an agricultural village in the Caribbean. I love gardening. And I am delighted by your love and enthusiasm for what you do. I also love your generosity and wanting to put smiles on the faces of others. Keep this up and God continue to bless and keep you and your loved ones.....

    This time of year is awesome. I have been feeding my wife's mother and sisters plus all the city employees down at city hall. They are almost ready to go on strike if I bring them any more eggplant, cucumbers, peppers or tomatoes. My chest freezer is full and I have been pickling and canning whatever I can. Today I am putting up tomatoes. Thanks for posting and have a great day!

    Congratulations Luke, you have done well. God is good! What a wonderful dinner that cabbage and new potatoes would make. I actually JUICE my greens that I don't eat in salads or recipes. The green juice is then put in small containers, stacked in the freezer, I will pull them out during the winter and use them in my smoothies and juice when greens are so terrible expensive and yucky from the store! We love you!

    Hey, love the video and the harvest! I just want to say thank you for being kind and giving the food away instead of selling. We are starting our first garden this year and if we ever have extra, we plan to donate and give it away (after canning of course) instead of selling. Our friends and family always ask why wouldn't we just sell it, so I guess they just don't get it.

    Swiss chard and beets are in the goosefoot family, chard isn't just a bulbless beet. They share a family tree but the flavor, texture and nutrition are slightly different. Most notable difference is the sodium content in beet greens being higher, and swiss chard having twice the vitamin k.
    Your garden is so amazing *****, it's nice to see a harvest video like this one, and the fact that you shared your zucchini harvest mid video with your neighbors adds a warm feeling to the show. I can't wait to see more like this :)

    am from India from the city if Bombay. we are crunched for space. but I have a terrace where I grow stuff in containers. (just started veggies). I successfully grew cucumbers n got just one harvest. from home made compost of kitchen waste.
    have grown potatoes from only the potato peels. not the whole potato or by cutting them in small pieces. but simply by peels. was experimental. but very successful.
    I loved ur garden. keep it up.

    Absolutely gorgeous! It sure shows you put a ton of hard work into it. What a dream edible garden! BTW do you ever dump out poor soil that's original to the house, or do you keep adding compost to improve it?

    • @MIgardener
      @MIgardener  10 лет назад

      I am so sorry for just seeing this now! Wendi Phan I always reuse soil. Soil never goes bad, people all the time say to throw out soil and replace with good soil.. and I have to smack myself! Over time the soil will all become one, and it all adds up to be amazing soil. PLUS all of the micro-nutrients in the original soil cannot be compared to with any filler soil, no matter how organic and loose it is.

    I have never eaten beets; not from what I can remember. I bought some from the store for my family to try and maybe add to the salad garden. I accidently bought radishes xD Which were spicy and IMO gross! I better get it right next time, my husband made fun of me forever about it. I have a lot of leafy veggies to try, I am not very "cultured" I guess. I tried kale, too. Tastes so much like broccoli. I added it to the garden, too. It is easy to sneak into my kids food. They think it's just seasoning flakes like parsley lol

    Boy oh boy, do I love your videos. I really love the harvest. My mouth was watering! I do love that the garden was done with out herbicides, pesticides and chemical fertilizers. I want to buy seeds of your early varieties of veggies. How is the tower you made doing? It must be a bush by now, lol. Thanks guys.

    I love your garden, wish mine was like that. We don't have the same weather in England though, you can't do much without a greenhouse.
    I do try growing a few things like potatoes, tomatoes, mint, radish and this year I've attempted garlic too!
    Let's see how it goes!

    Maybe you should do a video on how much space does each plant in your garden need to grow, for people that might want to grow some of the veggies you have in your garden
