What is your ranking of the Indiana Jones movies? Let me know! 👇🏻
HOT TAKE
Temple of Doom
Last Crusade
Raiders Of The Lost Ark
Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
Dial Of Destiny
You should rank the middle earth wizarding world Star Wars and Indiana Jones together
I have yet to watch Dial of Destiny but here is my ranking
4. Temple of Doom (I do love the movie, but Willie really annoyed me so much and it can be boring in some parts)
3. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (I have always been a defender of this movie, yes it does have some issues, but I do really enjoyed it, even more than Episode I and II of the Star Wars prequels)
2. Raiders of the Lost Ark (This movie is an absolute classic and the one that started it all. In fact, despite this being at #2, this is definitely the definitive adventure movie)
1. The Last Crusade (Harrison Ford and Sean Connery together teaming up to get the Holy Grail with great humor, heartwarming father and son dynamic, and really scary moments, especially the villains death)
@@Starwarsfanboy0928 I have the same opinion
1 > 3 > 2 > 4
Will see 5 this weekend
The third one is my favorite, because of father son dynamic between Indy and Henry Sr., and has one of the best villain's death in the franchise
Not only that but Sean Connery played Henry Sr. The original James Bond!
The greatest Father’s Day movie ever made haha
1. Raiders
2. Last Crusade
3.Temple Of Doom
4.Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
5. Dial Of Destiny
(It’s so hard to decide weather or not last crusade is first or not)
1. Raiders (10) - the original classic, the best opening sequence, 2 great villains Belloq and Toht, the most scary and awe-ispiring MacGuffin, the best cliffhanger scene with the snakepit sequence, the most spectacular ending of the series.
2. Last Crusade (9.5) - close contender with Raiders as the best, great humor, a solid storyline, great chemistry between Ford and Connery, very cool opening sequence with young Indy, a great ending sequence with the old knight and the most emotional and satisfying ending of the series.
3. Temple of Doom (9) - a very daring, over-the-top, everything but the kitchen sink sequel, it's nonstop excitement from beginning to end and the best sidekick of all time with Short Round. Also a great villain and perhaps the best 'how will he get out of this?' moment of the series with the rope bridge ending.
4. Dial of Destiny (7.5) - like Crystal Skull it has some flaws but not nearly as many, this brought back the globe-trotting adventure style of Raiders and Last Crusade, I was never bored and I liked the side characters, even PWB had some funny moments despite being a bit annoying and unlikeable, the action and story was pretty solid and felt appropriate for Indiana Jones, and the opening sequence is really cool. The ending did feel a bit rushed but also touching.
5. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (6) - it has some decent moments in the first half like the opening sequence, the chase around the campus and the discovery of the mummified conquistador scene, other than that it's quite dull, the side characters are very forgettable including the villain, the action scenes are unexciting and too CGI-filled, and the plot is confusing, uninteresting, and didn't feel right for Indy. I did like the ending with Indy and Marion getting married and Indy taking his hat back from Mutt.
I agree with pretty much everything you said! Great list. I agree with your ranking order and also that temple of doom and kingdom of the Crystal skull are both underrated. Just subbed!
There’s not a BAD Indy movie in my eyes. Welcome to the community thanks for the support! 🙏
Seeing dial of destiny in 30 minutes!
Enjoy!
@@MB832 I did!
Enjoy! I have officially seen it twice, my thoughts have changed a bit
When you get out tell us what you though about it
@@4ProStudiosI really enjoyed it. I think it was a great goodbye to Indy and I walked out of the theatre satisfied.
Great seeing a ranking from a fan! My personal ranking (haven’t seen destiny yet)
4. Crystal skull (I don’t hate it but it’s definitely the weakest of the series)
3. Temple (gets a bit dark but still has some iconic and even funny moments that I enjoy)
2. Raiders (the one that started it all and the quintessential adventure film)
1. Last crusade (this one has the most heart of the franchise with the father and son relationship which is what brings it on top for me!;)
Crusade is so mediocre to raiders. Like comparing a 7 to a 9
Last crusade is a special movie. Nice list! This franchise means so much to me, each movie is great for different reasons
@@FilmStocked Agreed! And it is special to have a franchise like that! (I have a soft spot for this series and the adventure genre in general myself;)
1. Temple of Doom
2. Raiders of the Lost Ark
3. The Last Crusade
4. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Just saw Dial now and I do prefer it more than skull, but is not close to the first 3
That seems to be the consensus, that it’s not close to the original trilogy. The debate between whether or not it tops Crystal skull is interesting to see
I think Temple of Doom is one of the best sequels I’ve ever seen I’m all for this movie it’s right down my alley I love the darker movies I’ve always preferred that kind of stuff when I watched it I knew how much love the movie gets and how much of a classic sequel it is so I was excited to watch it and I wasn’t disappointed at all
It'a a prequel

Great video! I'm going to see Dial of Destiny in an hour from when this comment is posted. (I'll update it once I've returned from the movie)
Here's the ranking (least favorite to favorite):
5. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - 7/10 (kinda underrated)
4. Dial of Destiny - 8/10 (I really liked all of the action, and the story was good)
3. Raiders of the Lost Ark - 9/10 (A true classic)
2. Last Crusade - 9.5/10 (Great father-son movie, with an amazing story)
1. Temple of Doom - 10/10 (I really liked the darker direction it went in, and I thought the story, plot, and locations were amazing)
I respect temple of doom for going against the formula set up in Raiders
Throw this up on Letterboxd! Haven’t seen Dial yet but would go:
1. Raiders
2. Last Crusade
3. Crystal Skull (Incredibly underrated)
4. Temple of Doom
Fr idk why everyone hates crystal skull so much
It’s on Letterhead now and I agree, Crystal Skull is super overhated
I agree with crystal skull. I think its better than dial of destiny imo too.
I’m personally glad I was a kid when Crystal Skull came out because it allowed me to enjoy the movie without hearing all the internet drama about it. I rewatched it and even though it wasn’t great and is my least favorite out of the 4 I still enjoyed it alot
1. Raiders Of The Lost Ark: One of the five best movies ever made.
2. Temple Of Doom: My favorite as a kid. Best action.
3. The Last Crusade: Lost this DVD as a kid so I’ve seen this the least. I enjoy the movie a lot and Sean Connery is an incredible addition. I’m just not as attached as I am to Raiders and Temple.
4. Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull: My childhood Indy film. I like this movie. Aliens don’t bother me as I like seeing Indy come across all this weird shit. Really it’s just the CGIness of everything that holds this back.
5. Dial Of Destiny: A lot of great ideas, but too much of it revolves around Helena and Teddy for me to have it ranked higher than movies with characters I actually like. I’d rather have this movie than not though as I think there are a lot of good things about it.
My ranking is
5th Crystal Skull
4th Dial of Destiny
3rd The Last Crusade (definitely underrated considering the first two are soo celebrated)
2nd Temple of Doom
1st Raiders of the Lost Ark
5. Temple of Doom
4. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
3. Dial of Destiny
2. Raiders of the Lost Ark
1. The Last Crusade
I like saltburn more
Seeing number 5 at 4 today I’m excited!
Hope ya liked it!
5. Dial of Destiny, other than the first sequence which felt like a completely different movie, the rest was exhausting and boring to watch.
4. Crystal Skull
3. Temple of Doom
2. Last Crusade
1. Raiders.
My Ranking might be a bit controversial but I enjoy all these movies
1. Raiders of the Lost Ark- A+
2. The Last Crusade- A
3. Dial of Destiny- A-
4. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull- B
5. Temple of Doom- B-
I'm guessing this will be my ranking too once I watch Dial of Destiny haha. Love the idea of Indie not being young and spry anymore. I like the idea he feels more human, I think any action hero sequel should give the character more depth. But hey, I'm more of a character guy than an action guy so what can I say.
Raiders and Crusade stay on top 👏
@@FilmStocked crusade is and will always be my favorite 😂
I actually agree with you! I actually thought Temple of Doom was the weakest and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was underrated!
Real ones know that 1st and 3rd are the best and that dial of destiny sucks ass
I love the trilogy. I used to like Last Crusade the most because the humor and chemistry between Connery+Ford was perfect. Then, I actually started to like Temple of Doom the most because I enjoyed the pacing the most. Now, as a 28 year old man, I can say I enjoy Raiders the most due to its technical brilliance (cinematography, dialogue, etc.).
1. Raiders of the lost Ark.
2. Temple of doom.
3. Last Crusade.
4. Kingdom of the Crystal skull.
5. Dial of Destiny.
My Ranking
1. Raiders of the Lost Ark
2. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
3. Last Crusade
4. Temple of Doom
5. Dial of Destiny
The crystal skull love!! Here for it
2:04 - if Indy hadn’t shown up in Raiders, nothing would have changed
Lmaoo, the Nazis didn't even know Abner was dead, let alone that Marion was hidden away in Nepal. Only way Toht knew to get the medallion from Marion in Nepal was by following Indy. The argument that they would've found her eventually is a farce as we later hear Dietrich tell Belloq that the Furhur is growing inpatient with the project and expects to see development immediately... Which happens because of Indy.
Not true.

I love all of them so much!! I think Dial Of Destiny was amazing and is overlooked, the scene with the time travel is really cool and intense, the ending is just a little confusing for me. Here is my ranking based on personal experience, I think one more movie could do it, return with more characters we know, bring back short round as an older archeologist!!
1. Temple Of Doom (love Short round, love the village scenes and dinner scene, a perfect movie)
2. Raiders (it started it all, the stone sphere scene, love the ending)
3. Last Crusade (I love him with his dad and the chalice scene)
4. Dial Of Destiny (I love the villain and when they time travel)
5. Crystal Skull (I love the plot and creepy vibes)
My ranking is literally like this I think dial of destiny was really great two
1. Kingdom of the Crystal skull
2. Temple of.doom
3. Dial of destiny
4. Raiders of the lost Ark
5. The last Crusade
I finished watching it over 3 hours ago. Um, it's probably the WORST Indiana Jones film I've seen. I HATED Helena Shaw. And here's the thing, I find Phoebe Waller-Bridge actually attractive the same way I find Daisy Ridley attractive. Phoebe reminds me a little bit of Elisabeth Moss from the side. Peggy Olsen was one of my favorites from one of my favorite shows of all-time: Mad Men.
Were there good things from it? Sure. Probably seeing Karen Allen again at the end. I thought the first moment when it felt like an Indiana Jones movie happened when Indy goes to Tangiers. It's actually shown in the trailer. Indy takes out his whip only for the folks drawing their guns at him. That's very Indy-like. The first 15 minutes with the de-aged Harrison wasn't really that exciting at all. I thought the setting being in 1969 was cool too. Some of the scenery in 1969 Morocco was nice especially the auction scene. And hearing John Williams' music throughout.
My biggest issue really comes from Helena. I didn't like how she betrayed her own godfather to save her ass. She locks the gate. Indy gets captured. Then after Antonio Banderas' character gets killed, you see her laughing on the boat after they escape because she remembered to bring dynamite. She put Indy in a bad situation that could've got him killed but had his friends killed. Not to mention that cold mfer with the mustache killing innocent school workers.
I wish Banderas' character was there longer. He would've livened up the group. The kid was Helena's own version of Short Round. But my biggest issues really comes from Helena and the many dark scenes when they went underwater and in that cave. I was ready to doze off being so dark. I'm still not sure how to feel with that time travel shit. That's too much like Bill &Ted's Excellent Adventure time traveling from a phone booth.
When I was walking out of the theater, some kid who sounds about age 10-12 walking behind me was telling his mom he liked it. But the only thing he didn't like was the time traveling stuff. His mom actually enjoyed that part. I'm still not sure where I am with that. Indy is better without any alien and time travel shit. It doesn't need to go sci-fi. Indy was better with more grounded stories. Not alien/time travel BS. The film's budget was close to $300M. Where exactly did that go? Then an extra $100M go to that Ancient Greece scene? It didn't look like a $300M movie.
No issues seeing Indiana Jones, Sallah, or Marion again. Classic characters forever. Didn't mind hearing old Harrison's voice with a de-aged Indy. It did take me out for a moment but I eventually settled in with the dubbing. No issues listening to the GOAT composer's legendary music. Issues with Helena being such an asshole character only to discover her selfish ways while in Ancient Greece, Mads being such a bland villain, pacing, story, and way too many dark scenes. Most aspects at making a good movie.
It was also devoid of humor. Harrison is naturally funny as Han and Indy and we didn't get much here. When Helena tries to be funny, the jokes falls completely flat because you keep thinking what a selfish c*nt she is for stealing ancient artifacts only to sell them off in auctions because she's in some huge debt. She got innocent people killed. The character named Klaber, is a big POS killing innocent people including ancient Romans from an airplane. I wish he had a far better death than that plane crash.
What's with Han Solo and Indiana Jones dealing with DIVORCES later in their lives? Portrayed by the same actor but these iconic characters are going through a divorce, or in Han's case, he was already separated from Leia. At least seeing Karen Allen again gave some hope that it looked like Indy and Marion were going to reconcile.
Here's the irony to all this.. I actually heard more clapping for this film after it finished than for The Flash. I did not clap. I was actually a little relieved it was over as it's about 15 to 30 minutes way too long. And the biggest laugh I heard for the entire film came when Helena punched Indy. I'm not sure I have the urge to rewatch this. Doesn't seem highly replayable for me.
As bad as Crystal Skull was and it had some of the worst scenes for the entire franchise, it still had some fun to it. That Spielberg charm. We see Indy in 1957. The pacing was faster. Shia wasn't that terrible as Mutt. Harold Oxley added some fun to it. The banter between Indy, Marion, and Mutt was fun. Blanchett did the best she can do from that script and her fake Russian accent and had some personality that Mikkelsen's character lacked which shocks me because Mads was fine as a villain in Doctor Strange.
Dial of Destiny basically made a turd like Crystal Skull look decent by comparison by lacking the silly, stupid fun that Crystal Skull had! There was a scene inside the caves that I wanted Helena to be killed. She basically got Indy framed for murder at that school and got a couple more of his friends killed on the boat. But I guess she flipped to the good side the moment Indy prevented them to kill her.
What a mess this was. Thanks, Kathleen! You were great in it! You're now the worst character for this entire franchise. Worse than Elsa Schneider who at least had a decent heart by getting Walter Donovan killed. Worse than Mac who kept betraying Indy. Worse than Willie Scott who was only annoying but not a selfish asshole like Indy's "god daughter" looking to steal stuff and auction them off. She acted more like Mac's daughter than Basil's.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny: 6/10
Another soulless cash grab devoid of that Indy humor and charm. For the first two hours of the film, I felt Helena Shaw was the real villain! Kathleen Kennedy's own facsimile is in this franchise. Yet, she's supposed to be the protagonist next to Indy. She's 30-years-old and acting like she's still in high school believing she's so smart, funny, and charming.
All the plot leaks about Phoebe's character from over a year ago were true. She ruined the entire movie for us. Dial of Destiny is still better than Quantumania but that's still not saying much. I know people shit on Rey from The Force Awakens but at least Rey was a good person. For 2 hours, there was nothing redeemable about Helena Shaw, a smug, double-crossing thief, and selfish capitalist. It took the last 20 minutes to discover what she was doing was wrong.
Worst Characters Ever In Indiana Jones
1. Helena Shaw
2. Klaber (F this guy!)
3. George "Mac" McHale (annoying, useless character)
4. Mola Ram
Dial of Destiny now has the 2 worst characters from the franchise surpassing Indy 4's Mac.
Best Characters Ever In Indiana Jones
1. Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr.
2. Henry Jones Sr. (RIP)
3. Marion Ravenwood (moved up three spots)
4. Short Round (best sidekick Indy ever had)
5. Sallah El-Kahir
6. Marcus Brody (RIP)
7. Henry "Mutt" Williams/Jones III (RIP)
8. Harold Oxley
9. Willie Scott
10. Elsa Schneider (RIP)
I will forever love Indiana Jones but it doesn't mean I have to regard Indy 4 and 5 as canon.
I love Dial of Destiny, just watched it last night. For me no. 5 should be Crystal Skull. No 4 Dial of Destiny. No. 3 The last Crusade. No. 2 Raiders of the Lost Ark. No. 1 Temple of Doom.

2. Crusade

My ranking:
1. Last Crusade

3. Dial of Destiny
4. Temple of Doom
5. Crystal Skull
Dial is not better then temple of doom aint no way
Here's a list of my ranking of the 5 Indiana Jones movies from worst to best and why they're in those spots:
5. The Kingdom Of The Chrystal Skull - It's my least favorite of the 5 because of Harrison Ford did this movie in his mid 60's, I thought a lot of the crashes were too brutal, and to me, the adventure was poor. There were some freaky action parts, and music too. The only scene I do like in that movie is when Indiana and Marion get married. I like a lot of wedding scenes in movies. That's why the kingdom of the crystal skull at the bottom of my list.
4. The Temple of Doom - It's not one of my favorites either because it has a very disgusting dinner scene, Indiana becomes a bad guy in one part of the movie, a lot of the scenes really frightened me, and there's a lot of poor children in that movie. Plus, I thought the villains were terrible, as well as a lot of the fighting. I'm never watching that movie again. That's why the temple of doom also low in my ranking.
3. The Dial of Destiny - It's a fine movie. I don't hate this movie, but it's like an in-between movie because of Harrison Ford doing this movie in his early 80's. There are some funny parts in the movie, and good action. But some very brutal fighting as well. It wouldn't make it my favorite.
2. Raiders Of The Lost Ark - This movie has a lot of great action, it's the most successful film of 1981, and I enjoy a lot of stuff in it. I enjoy the parts where Indiana saves Marion, where they kiss, the boulder part, and a lot more. I definitely think Harrison Ford did a phenomenal job in the lost ark. But there is 1 more that I enjoy the most.
& 1. The Last Crusade - I've always liked that movie since I first saw it on TV. It has a good story plot, it has good villains, I always enjoy the grail clip, and seeing Indiana's dad scaring away the army of birds. I always think the way he did that was silly. I also enjoy the part where Indiana and Walter Donovan talk about the holy Grail, as well as the part where Indiana helps Dr. Schneider escapes from the rats, and a lot of the action too. And so, that's why the last crusade is the number 1 spot on my list.
5. Crystal Skull 7.75/10
4. Dial Of Destiny 8.25/10
3. Raiders Of The Lost Ark 9.65/10
2. Last Crusade 9.75/10
1. Temple Of Doom 9.90/10

It’s not, don’t worry

I’m seeing Dial Of Destiny tomorrow and I’m guessing that it’ll go between Temple Of Doom and Crystal Skull. So pre watch ranking prediction:
1. Raiders Of The Lost Ark (My favorite movie of all time)
2. The Last Crusade
3. Temple Of Doom

After I have watched Dial Of Destiny my ranking stays the same.

@@FilmStocked I did
1-Raiders - The best B-movie style action/adventure film ever.
2-Temple - Took chances, went in a different direction (Iron Man 3, Guardians of the galaxy 3, The Dark Knight Rises) The best sequel to the best Action/Adventure film ever.
3-Last Crusade - Played it safe after Spielberg and Lucas got crucified over Temple. You can see the Lucas cheese starting to drip off this one. Still a great time.
4-Dial - Would be totally unnecessary if not for the festering open wound that was Crystal Skull. I was satisfied and had a good time with it. All is right in the world now. Leave Indy alone.
5-Crystal Skull - The Rocky V of Indiana Jones. Bubbling over with Lucas cheese. Was a live action cartoon.
1. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark is classic
2. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is amazing.
3. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is amazing.
4. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - bad

Where's your dune part two trailer 2 reaction?
Indy 3, 2, 1 and a long way back to 4 and 5.
Really? Dial of Destiny felt shoehorned for Indiana when he was sentimentally inholved to change the past and mend the bond with his friend while Temple Of Doom he literally falls from a plane to the place to an issue he has nothing yo do with?
5. Crystal Skull, I watched it for the first time in May and feel asleep twice
4. Temple Of Doom, I haven't seen it recently but I remember thinking it was meh
3. Dial Of Destiny, from the trailers I thought it was going to be god awful but it was actually decent
2. Last Crusade, amazing story and father son relationship like you said
1. Raiders, top 5 movie of all time and arguably the most iconic opening scene in cinema
The 2nd act is terrible boring 😴 of dail of whatever
Hopefully you like indy 5 better om rewatch
I enjoyed it slightly more on round 2
4. Crystal Skull, I don't hate it but it's just average for me.
3. Last Crusade, great movie and ending for the franchise. I wish Marion was in this movie and it could've been perfect.
2. Temple of Doom, probably the most entertaining for me and I love Short Round.
1. Raiders can't beat as the best made movie in the franchise.
The bold headed nazi Germany soldier Indiana Jones had a fist fight moment in the airport scene. The nazi guy actually played adaph Hitler in the nazi gathering the book in the fire scene. Will Hitler signs his signature moment. Later Indiana Jones runs into him! He signs Indiana Jones black secret book. Hitter didn't see the great information on the secret latter book. How to find the cub of eternal life. Of Jesus Christ's blood during the last sacrifice of his death. My great information for today. Have a great fabulous wonderful day.

I agree, no bad movies in my mind. Some weaker than others, but overall the best action/adventure franchise ever to me
Honestly I would put Dial of Destiny at number 1, it’s more emotional than any Indiana Jones movie. There’s so much action in it, and the “power” of the dial in the final act is dope. Then Crystal Skull, love the chase with Shia Labeouf, the jungle chase, the CGI on the alien. Then Raiders, Last Crusade, and Temple of Doom.
This is the most controversial take I've seen but I'm loving it. Emotional moments are my favorite, you've made me much more hyped for this movie now!
That is a horrific ranking. The fact you liked Crystal Skull throws your opinion in the garbage. Dial was a C film only saved by Harrison Ford's performance. The CGI was horrific.
holy L bro never rank again ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
#1 - Raiders - One of the greatest movies ever made.
#2 - Last Crusade - Bond and Indy together, great dynamic.
#3 - Crystal Skull - Rubbish and boring but not as screetchy and annoying as...
#4 - Temple of Doom - At least Harrison Ford as Indy is great.
#5 -Dial of Destiny - Typical trash churned out from Disney's factory of shit. Like all Disney Star Wars movies, nothing redeemable to see here. Evasive maneuvers. Avoid at all costs.
Seeing dial of destiny tonight but
1. Raiders (100%)

@@FilmStocked Raiders was such an important movie for me as a 12 year old. By the time the TOD trailer poster came along at the local theatre I was 14 and it was the most anticipated film of my life at that time. There was no internet, so things were more of a surprise back then. I was counting down the days.
And mine is
3,1,2,4,5
Kingdom of the Crystal skull is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen the audio was terrible the CGI was even worse u need to remember this was made in 2008 yet it feels like a movie from the 80s first time I watched it I gave up after the first 10 minutes but watched it recently and I hate it fully
Dial of Destiny should be at number4 and the Kingdom of the Crystull Skull should be at number 5
