  • On July 20th and 21st of 1991, Norfolk & Western Class-A #1218 ran a series of round trips from Chicago, IL to Fort Wayne, IN. This is a collection of footage from both days on the way to Fort Wayne. The 1218 is the only surviving N&W Class-A and had a short excursion career from 1987-1991 before it was brought in for an extensive overhaul which was abruptly halted with the cancellation of the Norfolk Southern Steam Program in 1994. Today she can be found on display at the Virginia Museum of Transportation. Thank you to all who have subscribed and continue to support my channel, see you next week with part 2!!

Man, I'd forgotten how great a year 1991 was.

I've chased this line as well a few times and it is not an easy one to chase. The amount of times you caught them eastbound is quite impressive!
