- Starting 2024 with a quick rehouse of a spider who came to us with a broken pedipalp that looked like it belonged on a teletubby.

Beautiful rehouse. My avic avics are so unique in their personalities and how they choose to use their environment, they're gorgeous and always a treat to watch! :)
Yes, I have 2 female Avics and both have setup their enclosures vastly different despite the actual setup being almost identical. Unique little beasts
Great video. Loved the finger snaps.
Thankyou
Hello great video rehousing Matt
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome video Matt I love the set up and I think avics are Beauty’s
They really are.
Some seriously lovely colours
Lovely spider mate, absolutely stunning. The plans for this year are to focus more on the harpactira genus and Asian spiders. Maybe downsize a bit with the new worlds. Also want try and breed some more. Had a good success with the obt and made me want to do more with breeding. Happy New Year to you and family, hope you guys and a great time. Can't wait to see what you bring us this year.
Thanks Osman. Really appreciate your friendship. I cannot wait to see what successes you have this coming year. Hopefully it will be a great 2024 for you
Beautiful 💙🤎💙
Thanks, really is a stunning spider.
Beautiful colored spider. Love the Avicularias. Calm, outgoing, great display spiders. I have a few. Only the projectile poop feature makes tank cleaning tedious.
Haha, yes at times when they want to they can be quite the Picasso 😂
Oooo like the news intro, is that a permanent feature?
Yeah the new avic names are ridiculous!
Really needs some avic species in my collection. Beautiful spider, Great video 😊
Yeah old intro had 2023’in it and times needed changing.
Glad you noticed, it took me long enough to do, as I did it all manually
Nice video Mathew rookie
Thankyou Mr McCraig
Nice new intro Matt.👍
Cheers Buddy. It took me longer than it should have. But thats the price of using no templates / apps i guess haha
Love the clicking joke 😂. I love the Avicularia species also. I only have the Avicularia juruensis M2, I want them all and the Caribbean species also. Still want a H.chilensis too, so I want a few tbh. 🤣🙏
yeah - they are stunning arent they. Hard to deny wanting to have a room full of avics.
Gorgeous spider. I'll definitely get more avics when I have room.
Great video mate, happy new year 🎉
And to you also buddy.
2023 was pretty pants for most things, meeting you and gaining a good friend was not one of those things 🤟🏼
@@TarantulaRookie Likewise man 🫶🏼
That's a great looking little spider matt I know you love avics . my avic and versi are ready for there next size up so I should get on with it 😂
They really are stunning little spiders
My male Avic Avic is now mature, he had his final moult between 2 and 3 months ago so he's ready to send off to breed.
Nice. 🤞🏼🤞🏼for a successful pairing
Nice video Matt, hope you had a good journey back, hope your good ladies foot/ankle is doing ok. Nice set up, would have liked to see you put the substrate in though 😜 where do you get those bowls anyway ? Typical Avic, walkabout here we come, glad its doing well 👍🏻 Happy New Year to ya
The bowls are makeup sample pots from amazon. Ill send you the links to the larger and smaller ones i use buddy.
@@TarantulaRookie oh right, cool, cheers Matt, appreciate it, been looking at mould makers and resin to do my own but always good having a back up.
So precious just don't do well for me maybe I'll try again any tips Matt on helping them survive the sling stage?
For me its about just ensuring they have access to water without the substrate being damp etc. Ive lost a jurenesis sling recently - not sure why, but it was a tiny tiny sling.
I have however managed to do fine with 2 avic avic, this M6 and 2 versicolor.
