I know Bik personally I spent some years as a Republican prisoner in Long Kesh with him infact in the next cell he was a fantastic human being , B shys away from the praise he is entitled to and among so many things I admire this about him . He came through so much and never wavered although I can only imagine how much the loss and sacrifice must have taken it’s toll on him mentally. He always had a smile a kind word and a song . A great musician a wise wise man and an unflinching Republican he never compromised the safety and well being of his comrades . He took no decision lightly and always did the best he could . He will write a book one day or someone will and it will be a breath taking account of the extraordinary journey he took . A living Republican legend of that there is nodoubt and I’m proud to have talked with him listened to him and sang with him .
