- This video was uploaded as a HDR (High Dynamic Range) video. As a result, those viewing this video on a SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) display may experience issues with color accuracy or brightness (i.e. darker than expected). This depends on how good (or bad) RUclips tonemaps the HDR video to SDR.
From the Ultra HD Blu-ray release of "Dirty Dancing" (1987).
You might think this is a fake, but I can assure you this is not a fake. If blu-ray.com is anything to go by, one of the members that apparently worked on the UHD Blu-ray release stated they didn't have access to the film elements and were given a print with the Lionsgate logo to work with. They wanted to make this release a close to the theatrical release as possible, so they had the Vestron logo recreated and plastered the Lionsgate logo with it. For what it's worth, I think this is a nice remake and is certainly 100x better than seeing the Lionsgate logo.
The folks at Lionsgate did a fantastic job recreating the 1986 Vestron logo. Now that the Vestron Video banner has been relaunched, Vestron Pictures also deserves a relaunch as Lionsgate's genre film label, similar to MGM's relaunch of Orion Pictures. When Lionsgate brings back this recreation for their genre films, there might be a 50/50 chance that the Lionsgate byline will appear below the logo.

How are you going to have Liongate, Studio L, Summit, and Vestron as movie labels?
do you have the raw original video file for this? can you send me it by any chance? i was thinking of using this video to make a project where i make this recreation more film-like, thanks in advance!

Glad to see Lionsgate care more about logo preservation! I have a feeling logo plasters will become extinct in the next few years (which will basically make logo finding more boring in my opinion, I find logos pretty boring already to be honest).
Netflix’s print of Dirty Dancing has the 2005 Lionsgate logo plastering over the Vestron Pictures logo
