His arm can be fixed, no problem. The mental trauma he would have gone through, seeing Nishimura getting hurt and failing to do something, would have been much worse for him.
You fail to see how much Takada cares for her.

To alleviate the pain from seeing Takada get hurt, there's a slight animation error around 2:13 with the dad's buttons.

Don’t worry about it, Nishimura. He gave that arm to protect you from harm. Instead of feeling guilty and blaming yourself, be happy that you have a friend who would lay it all on the line to keep you safe. That’s something far more precious.

It's a pun, the town/city/municipality is called Sono-hen-no, which sounds the same as "that ... over there"
That's the face of a mother who's been through this before. She should probably teach her son and his friends not to raise so many flags. That's just asking for tragedy to show up.

I mean, it's just a broken arm. If it was a clean break that's not so bad, and it's not like it broke through the skin. A lot of kids go through it, but not many of them do it protecting their friend from danger lol.

if she didn't take it easy, it would leave Nishimura sunk in despair.
Because Mom has the Takada-vibe, looking at the bright side of everything. When someone tells Takada-kun he's not a good match for Nishimura-san, he doesn't get sad, he just sees it as encouragement to try harder. And mom must have gotten used to her son getting hurt every now and then, since he's a typical sometimes overly confident kid. Like with the dodgeball incident.
His injury really isn't that serious. And if the mom is anything like Takeda, then she probably feels he'll be just fine after the arm heals up. And based on her reaction and Takeda's energy, she's probably used to him getting hurt.
It's irritating, whow she described the Clean Break to them, but watching her "happy" smile, I think she also understood, that this happened, while he was saving the Girl.
Making her a Proud Mother, that also understands, that the Clean Break is more-likely to heal well, than for example a Break by twisting(Snowboarders Aand Skiers get such kind of Injuries.)

Because mom is just as carefree in her manners as her son, she tells it like it is, which is mostly a good thing, although here it made Nishimura get more worried for a little while, until mom explained that this kind of break was actually a good thing, since it would likely heal in no time at all.

And he'll be fine, just like Akane's dad recently said you can't be there all the time to help your kid make friends, but have to let go at times, young boys can sometimes do reckless things, and hopefully learn from that, like in this case, not to climb something tall when it's windy.
