If you really think about it... Gojo and Sukuna want the same thing for Megumi: for him to reach his full potential. However, Gojo wants this so Megumi can be strong and help others in any scenario. Sukuna seems to want this to help his own cause (which in this point in the anime/manga it’s unclear what it really is) and it somehow involves Megumi’s ability that according to Gojo has a huge possibility of becoming amazing... Should be interesting to see how Megumi’s story ends since Gege Akutami has made it clear his and Yuji’s paths have different ends..

Although it is not as if Gojo had raised him because we all know that Gojo at the time of going for Megumi and his sister what he did was support them financially I think it is interesting since in one way or another Gojo being something like his tutor had to be close to them not exactly as a father but as a relative who is aware of both and from there I think comes the way in which they treat each other. Well I think Gojo was quite good in that way since Megumi's father told Gojo to do whatever he wanted with Megumi but of all possibilities he decided to help him and his sister.
Gojo definitely got attached to them in a fatherly way, especially Megumi, in the manga there is even a panel of Gojo remembering baby Megumi (meeting him) and then staring at Megumi (grown up) and Megumi says "why are you smiling about?" and Gojo says "Oh, nothing" with a little heart on the quote, basically admiring Megumi and how far he has come from when he was little to his recent self🥺🥺🥺

About that in recent chapters of the manga ... sukuna vs gojo will be emotional
Although it is not as if Gojo had raised him because we all know that Gojo at the time of going for Megumi and his sister what he did was support them financially I think it is interesting since in one way or another Gojo being something like his tutor had to be close to them not exactly as a father but as a relative who is aware of both and from there I think comes the way in which they treat each other. Well I think Gojo was quite good in that way since Megumi's father told Gojo to do whatever he wanted with Megumi but of all possibilities he decided to help him and his sister.
Gojo definitely got attached to them in a fatherly way, especially Megumi, in the manga there is even a panel of Gojo remembering baby Megumi (meeting him) and then staring at Megumi (grown up) and Megumi says "why are you smiling about?" and Gojo says "Oh, nothing" with a little heart on the quote, basically admiring Megumi and how far he has come from when he was little to his recent self🥺🥺🥺

And I think their relationship is much deeper than most believe, and they have known each other for 9 years and basically Gojo saw Megumi grow up and Megumi has also seen how Gojo has become an adult and that makes both of them know each other better than nobody else. And I think Gojo was more than a teacher to Megumi because Gojo did a lot for him by helping him and his sister, helping them financially, teaching Megumi, advising him,etc.
