"I prepared a delightful batch of instant wheat appam by blending together boiled rice, poha (flattened rice), and fresh coconut, creating a batter with a smooth, creamy consistency. To this, I incorporated wheat flour and a touch of yeast, allowing the mixture to rise slightly and develop a soft, spongy texture. The yeast worked its magic, giving the appam a gentle fluffiness and a mild, fermented aroma. The fresh coconut added a natural sweetness, perfectly balancing the earthy flavor of the wheat. These appams are light, airy, and full of flavor, making them a perfect dish for breakfast, snacks, or even a wholesome accompaniment to curry."
Ingredients:
Wheat flour 150g
Boiled rice 1 cup
Aval (poha) 20g
Coconut 1/2 cup
Rice flour 1 tablespoon
Sugar 1 teaspoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
