    Using my aiologs for already 2 years after using different ones and this is top notch. Don't mind potencjometr as your muscle memory will learns after one day of practicing. Still live your videos

      Yeah you can get used to anything with practice.

    Just ordered Heusinkveld Sim Handbrake V2 figured might as well not cheap out since only game i play is Dirt Rally 2.0. Would be interesting if you could review V2 vs your V1.

      I have thought about it, maybe I'll get one in.

    I had a quick look at currency conversion rates and the prices are a little bit closer about £140 versus £240. So still quite a gap but not double. Though shipping can vary quite a bit around the world, and exchange rates are changing all the time; so the difference will be up and down. But mainly it gives me an excuse to add a comment for the YT algorithm 😃

    That's a classic cheezy grin on the thumbnail Karl, nice work!
    What do you think of WRC10 mate, do you play it much? Interested in your thoughts.
    Also, are you taking part in any DR2 club championships, be good to race against someone else who remembers Spectrums and Amstrads! Been getting right into the RaceNet clubs lately, refreshed the game for me and made it fun again. And forced me to drive and start to enjoy cars I normally would play (H2 RWD, Group B RWD....)

      lol It is a cheesy grin! :D
      I've only played a little WRC10 and prefer DR2.0... but to be honest I've played very little of anything recently, I'm outside a lot in the summer months and also my flying lessons and study have been taking up so much of my time too!

      @@KarlGosling Good on ya mate, it's been a cracker of a summer over there so good for you getting out and enjoying it. Yep flying is a big undertaking with a lot of study involved, but hey, you want to know what you are doing up there right. Good luck dude.

    depending what car you would be driving irl, a potentiomiter based handbrake would replicate it better than a load cell but the springs should progressively get harder and harder to overcome. also when programing a analog to digital code you would write somerthing like
    if arbitaryname ( > 15)
    button = 1
    else
    button = 0
    you dont measure voltage really you convert it in to steps (lets say 255 steps) so 255 would be the potentionmiter all the way open. and 0 would be all the way closed,
    you have to give it some leway because potentiomiters are not that accurate at all
    so you could write
    if arbitrayname ( >15 100 200 200 200

      If it was a cable operated HB then yes, but rally/drift HB's are hydraulic so work just like pressing the brake pedal... the OG HB mechanism is not used.

    what is the pot value? might this, with some custom wiring, replace a fanatec handbrake (straight to fanatec base) - fanatec brake has so many failure modes it is unbelievable ..

      @nyc863 2 года назад +1

      Oh sorry I see you said it is 10k. I think the fanatec is 10k as well.. hmm

    Aiologs are a Russian company and manufacture their products in Russia. Why are you reviewing Russian products when there is a war on??

    • @KarlGosling

      Why does it matter? If you're saying that all Russian people are bad then I suggest you take your prejudice elsewhere!
