I just want to say I’m a new subscriber (thanks to NF😉)and have seen MANY reaction videos by various people. I wanted to say you might be the first person I actually want to accompany through this amazing Journey of NF. I really appreciate you not stopping every 30 seconds. I almost got pissed when you compared him to Em… only because some people say it negatively. But you know he was one of the most influential people to NF and that the comparison wasn’t negative. Anyway thanks for being someone I can appreciate that’s appreciating my favorite artist ever. I literally saw him twice in the past month on tour! I’m just going to warn you know that a lot of his stuff is heavy… okay I could go on forever! See ya on the next one!
Eminem was his biggest influence. He had a very similar background, both from Michigan, similar tramautized childhoods, mothers with drug addiction. So of course they'll sound very close. Nate does find his unique voice later in his catalog. White rapper? You'll be compared to Eminem. But as for NF, he does actually sound like Em early in his career.

2nd this. The NF "journey" has a long list of songs that paint a picture. Story is not part of the journey but is unique and amazing and gives you a different skill set. I always recommend a reactor keep it in their back pocket after an emotional song to switch from something that's too heavy. A palette cleanser.

When you get the chance you should check out Blue October. HRSA, The Answer, Ugly Side, Quiet Mind, Over Weight, Hate Me, Weight of the World, Fear. Just a few! Pick one. Their not in chronological order like NF but he writes about everything he goes through. Amazing lyrics, music and Justin's voice is unique and haunting.
Blue October was my favourite band for years, just don’t listen to them anymore. But yeah I agree with the above, Justin is brilliant, I just don’t vibe with their music anymore 🖤
