    First, sorry for my english, is not mi native language. I comment only to say thanks for all the work you are doing, i see all your videos in almost one day and now i gonna practicase all, your videos are amazing, not only for the tricks and more, but how do you speak and teach, its really amazing how do you repeat and explain, not all the tutorial are that easy to follow and understand, i hope you stay in youtube for a long time!

    I've been trying to do this forever and you finally cracked the code for me. You've given me the boost to actually try sculpting for the first time. Thank you!

      @@ArtisansofVaul it's a slow process, but I'm learning a lot. I'm recreating the quad damage prop from Quake 1, and even though it's supposed to be iron and not stone, I've been using your technique for the clay strips brush to emulate pitting/erosion. I like how it's looking so far but I may have remeshed too intensely for sculpting and sometimes blender lags. I'll certainly retopologize when I'm done lmao.

      @@wilsonwilson3674 I've used this for pitted metal too. I think it nicely recreates the look of peeling layers of metal and corrosion.

    Tip: For the square looking clay just push tip roundness option in brush menu!

      @@ArtisansofVaul Indeed but just use a slight value to keep the roughness of the clay brush effect.

      It's a but difficult to offer advice without being able to see what you have ended up with. Maybe drop me a message on Instagram or Facebook if you gave either or link an image from a Google Drive or similar

    Neat video :D. As a suggestion for upcoming videos, what about some claw marks/cracks and importing brushes :D?

      Really good idea 👍. I do want to do something on using texture brushes and alphas (though this is far from my area of expertise as a hard surface modeller).

    • @galan8115
      @galan8115 2 года назад +1

      @@ArtisansofVaul There is a cool tutorial in youtube about rolling pins and alphas if you need ideas. I used its ideas to create a 3d render of a inn banner; could be interesting to use for iconography like an akila or something (or something without copyright, but applyable to whatever)

      I think this gives a better texture as well. Though OCD does do things on mass VERY efficiently. I should do a video on that. Maybe next week
