Do you know anything about the USB3340 ic? I'm having trouble starting the controller, it turns on and off after initialization and the LEDs blink, Windows recognizes it in the system and in the Traktor software but it doesn't stay on for more than 5 seconds, I need help if possible
You are correct this model was a pain in the ass. The only think i would love about repairing these. That after the repair on a fader or any other repair that would cost me to replace all the plastic to make it look new. We had a grade system A BEING LIKE NEW.
I had absolutely no support from Traktor although here in Brazil I was authorised! Not doing these anymore, they have a headphone problem that can't be resolved (VLSI IC labeled Lattice on Main board was problem and unable to purchase from Native.. )

Hello i got the same problem with the same traktor s4 mk1, but the wirdness, because i got signal, but barely listening, the volume is so low, but yep i looking for in the internet and the closest think i found was your video, i try to used de Audio 2 mk2, i got one and never used, but for the convenience of bad luck, don't work too... never gonna by any other product from Native Instrumens, and for me they have the best program but sucks for solucition for they problems..
My S4 MK1 has a headphones problem. There's barely no signal in the hp output. Checking all software routing everything is OK. When yo play a track, CUE buttons work properly, and you can barely ear the track when CUE is ON, that make's me think the logical part is ok. But the audio in HP Out only barely appears when you turn off the HP volume to min. That make think can be an faulty IC in the HP PCB or bad cap. Do you have any idea or ever seen this issue?
Hi how easy is it to replace the power socket for the main power supply.? The small pin inside has broken off on mine so it won't power on anymore. Otherwise the controller is fine and I hate to see it sat in the box.

I bought one and I found out one of the jogwheels don't work, do you know how can I get a replacement for the sensors or the chipset? without buying the whole controler again? Thanks so much
If you take the top of the jog wheel of sometimes the clips are worn down a little you can get a flat hid and lift the clips up becareful not to break the clips this will make the Cap fit higher on the jog wheel
Not sure what you mean. The problem I have had with several S4 Mk1s is nothing to do with just the connector (that would be simple to repair). It is a problem on the Main board with the large SMD component marked Lattice. I am an authorised service centre for Native Instruments in Brazil, but NI won't even provide a circuit diagram or parts (only an entire main board, which is discontinued). I have had to return the products back to the customer because there is no solution unfortunately.
@delatronics3257 I used to do repairs for native instruments for north America. I had the same issues. No parts had to cannibalism. What I noticed on s4 mk1 the first generation some boards were grounded different than others. I started to look at the Gen on the boards. I would replace the headphone board. If you are a repair center they provide all the audio test equipment with the software. S4 mk1 has a Grey test ficture with a switch. It's like the keyboards that would have the ghost faders. To calibration the would put pressure. But it was to much clue. S4 mk1 were always a pain to work on just because of the audio test it would clitch. Or sometimes tech mistake would forget to turn up headphone volume. Nice to see someone working on them.

Not difficult, remove all screws on the base and it should become obvious once the back cover is removed (see long board in video)
Thanks bud I'm just about to take it apart now so I can see what power socket I should order. You don't know what one it uses by any chance do you.?
