46-47 Plymouth convertible with side curtains was a very rare item at the time, haven’t seen one sense about 1951. The fellow that had it was a mining engineer may have been manufactured in South America...Something to look for 😉

When I was a kid, the bankers daughter had one of those. It was a beautiful match. (Lincoln from, AZ) What transmission is in the 88 ?

In 1949, V8 Oldsmobiles were available only with an automatic transmission because the company didn't have a manual gearbox capable of handling the torque of the new engine. By 1950, Oldsmobile introduced a modified Cadillac manual gearbox for their V8 models.

@@ClassicCarFindssomewhere in that era, Buick Dynaflow’s were installed due to a fire at the Hydramatic plant. Don’t remember if it was 51 or 52 but they were dogs.

I didn't know Oldsmobile had a clock in the steering wheel.

It was an option in 50, not reliable, a built in steering knob was also available.
