Great breakdown! I really hope we lose Zen by the end of the season!! Losing Dash will be a sad day… Re: Prism, I just think she is so weak into Zen, ASC & Rhinar, it’s a tough field if the Gem lottery is not in your favour
Briar my short term mistress (second to Vynnset) carried me to my first LL points! I'm glad she's sticking around for more people to play, but sadly won't get another ride with here o7 see you in LL sweet princess
Hey! I've been playing FaB for about 2 or 3 months, and I've been loving it. I only play Blitz, and even though I started with Dash, I found my way into Illusionists, with a more control play style as I enjoy in other games. At my locals, they did doubt Zen would LL first week and the reason being "he's not consistent enough in Blitz". This inconsistency being partly caused by Arakni. Adding to this, Rhinar seems to be the favorite of many for this Skirmish season, and by these numbers now I can see he has been very popular globally. Part of the reason for this popularity is also Zen, and how Intimidate messes his flow. Blitz tournaments will start in my city next weekend, and we had some discussions on how futile would be some people tech against Zen if he was to LL before our tournaments even start. This might now be a reality for Briar and Dash, concerning about them for the upcoming tournaments might not be a good way to go. However, Victor doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon, so we might need to concern about it a bit (and there are many Victors around here). Thank you for the videos! It's always a pleasure to watch, very informative/helpful and it's not difficult to identify your passion while making them
I was right regarding Blaze, with regard to availability. But I was surprised as my local meta, which has a lot of Blazes available, only had one show up to skirmish. There were a whole lot of people doing a "last chance to play Briar" - including the winner. Which is just a tough match for Blaze. Then both making week 3 means I think you probably need to keep expectations down another week.
the skirmish I went to had 3 Blaze (including me) out of 13 players, none of them made top 4. Rhinar can just delete you with a bloodrush turn and if you don't have the perfect hand to kill them or a rewind, you just die. same with Zen. I personally hope that she doesn't LL this season since we will get more wizards and runeblades so arcane damage will need to be more of a concern moving forward in blitz and we should have more ways to deal with arcane other than just AB and SV so it shouldn't be a feel bad to play against it.
I do not think you over-estimated Zen. He really is that good, but there are a ton of interesting heroes to keep less-competitive players from switching. Same for Blaze, but there's also a supply issue there.
I'm in an opposite situation. I believe blitz to be the inferior format but every shop near me did blitz over ll due to accessibility for new players. (Which is totally fair, but debatable since skirmish isn't the best starting point)
Really hope Zen LL this season. Got in top 8 in my LGS with Briar and Zen just killed me in turn 0 with more than 40 damage
I think the "underperformance" of Blaze was/is purely due to the distribution limitations.
Great breakdown!

Took Dash to my blitz skirmish, beat Zen with T-bones and Pulsewave Harpoon. Got to top 4 and lost a very close game to a friend on fatigue Olympia.

Really surprised by how bad Emperor went
Kinda worried about my boy Kayo climbing LL, considering his performance what are the chances that happens this Skirmish Season?
Kayo would need to pull down just under 22% of all wins this season to LL, which is highly unlikely.
I hope next blitz season, it’s only blitz.
Most of the stores around me have opted for LL, which I feel is inferior format.
Blitz is great but only when Zen goes, I think LL is better currently
