Young Balder Doodles Part 1 ✰ Bayonetta 2 ✰ Speedpaint

Well now, it’s been some time since my last upload! I don’t really know what to really say other than 2020 sure isn’t the year of productivity lmao
So a few things, 1: This drawing is just one of four pics of Balder that I’ve made, I initially wanted to post all 4 drawings in the same video but that would have been a 36 minute video, that’s a bit long so this vid has been split up into 4 parts, one for each drawing (Even though all drawings were done on the same canvas)
2: Even though I’m calling these pics “Doodles” I am not implying that these took no effort to make, these started out as doodles and were done in my less realistic “doodle” style, these 4 relatively simple looking pieces took me over 36 hours over the course of several months to complete, I know how disheartening it can be to see fantastic art posted with a caption like “oh this was just a doodle I made lol” so I just wanted to clear this up.
3: Yes I traced Apollo’s hands, art block is a bitch and these pics were done entirely for fun, I wanted to draw my boy Balder not struggle with drawing hands, get frustrated and give up for a month or two, so I hope you can look past my laziness on that specific area
4: oh yeah I got Clip Studio Paint awhile back, its pretty damn fun, I’m not sure if I want to completely replace SAI but I am really digging the customizability that this program has, and that dark grey user interface? chefs kiss perfection.
5: final thing here, the reason why I drew Balder 4 times in different dumb poses is really just cause I like this character and I want to see more speedpaints of him, especially speedpaints of him looking like a dumbass lol

I just finished the second part of bayoneta and loved this character so bad, but i didn't find so many people, drawing him. Untill today!
