Awesome video! FL and IN are my favorite. Would love to see some street photos of just those two would be great especially with the cooler tones in Asia.
Glad you like it. I've been using pp off standard look for a long time, but now sometimes I love to try different looks, and you can still keep your standard look in the raw files, so it doesn't hurt to try different looks!
@@Chanalvin78 Thanks for supporting! Creative look is a fun tool to save time for photo editing, and even if you end up not liking it, you still have your raw file in standard look.
Geat explanation. I have one question. I can see there have another set of creative look items with numbering before the style. Such as 1 NT , 2 FL, …. 6 BW What is the difference as compared with the set without the number ?
The look and color of creative style will only reflect on the JPG files, the raw files remain in standard color. I prefer shooting in both files, and later, when I check the pictures, if I'm satisfied with the creative style, I would delete the raw files; otherwise, I would edit the raw files and delete the JPG files.
I shot a few photos with a creative look but when I sent the raw file over to lightroom it wasn't represented I have a he setting to import camera settings on, I find it strange lightroom couldn't recreate a Sony setting?
even for photos I prefer "picture profile" to Sony creative look. For example S-Cinetone PP11 works very well for photos, it makes skin tones, and blue sky and greens very natural. For photos you just need to boost the detail option in the PP menu option.
@@automaticimprovements6957 I agree s-cinetone is great for photos, especially great color for portrait, but creative look offers more options for different scenarios.
Great video and overview for all creative looks. Thanks for examples stills&video. It is very helpful :)
I'm very glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!
You are good at explaining stuff. Your voice is also soothing, keep going.

Thank you very much for this super useful information! I had been shooting with PP off but I'm definely trying some of these options soon.

Great explanation. I’ve been wondering how to use the creative looks.

My understanding is that you can customize your sharpness/ highlight/ shadow... so that you can have the same look but slightly different settings.
Thank you for explaining this to us.
@@Mraz75 Just sharing my experience 😊 Glad you find it helpful!
@@ConstantineSPhotography yes it is.
Are you using a6400?

when using creative style, do you shoot in raw or jpeg?

I assume one can always change creative looks with raw files. But if I just take JPEGs, can I change creative looks after picture is taken?
@@queenssmith9438 No you can’t change your jpeg files in post, only raw files.

@ raw file will still be standard look, it only affects jpg files

My current fav is FL
@@stkuj Mine too! I love FL and IN
I have found SH to be useful for portraits in broad daylight with hard shadows, otherwise I stick to FL
