I remember this video and the song from it seems like around 1990. I could not remember the performers name but remember he wore dorky looking glasses. But it was really cool and had this cool looking girl dancing in her black slip, and part of it was in silouette. So glad I could finally find it again. I have looked for the song "Cool me down" for a long time on you tube and could never find it. Great tune.
This is the best dance tune I ever heard. I guess it's driving folks crazy... cause it keeps playin' over n' over :)
Cool song. I always like these kind of underground rockabilly songs. When i first heard this in early 90s i instantly liked it. Kieran Kane, Kevin Welch & Joe Ely were a big part of the Texas music scene in the 80s & early 90s. 👍🎸
As a drummer ,when this song came out it was a breath of fresh air,, The drum part is so well written ,constructed and played.. That Snare sound has been in my head over 25 years .... THAT IS THE SOUND I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR for the last 42 years ..and it took me a Very long time to find out what he played ..

This is one of those songs from the 90s that stuck with me. I love that big de-tuned electric guitar in the back swirling around menacingly.. really great tone. I love everything about this song. There was this gap between when it was on CMT and when you could actually search for and download music where I couldn't find it in the late 90s/early 2000s and that sucked..then finally I found it a few years after. I really dig it.

Kieren is a bit of a Radney Foster look a like. Just love the glasses and the square nerdy look. It plays against the pseudo rockabilly niftiness of the tune and setting. We owe alot to Buddy Holly and Elvis, and Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, and those whom we all love. This is the type of song that launched it all back in the 50's It strikes wondeful warm, fuzzy, familiar, and nostalgic axons and dendrites, perkultatin' in our vast music, and I mean musical memories.

Its refreshing to hear Music, with thought, Intricate Rhythms, Hook and not some SAMPLED CRAP with Cher's Voice Effects. Its a lost art of writing Original Cool music that grabs you and makes you want to dance.

Oh man. I worked for Rounder back in 1995 and this is the best show I went to. The Dead Reckoning show. Mike Henderson is absolutely amazing. I hope these guys are still playing.
