  • Riley Coon was selected as a 2024 Citizen Honors Single Act of Heroism Awardee for his response on the night of August 8, 2023, during the Lahaina Wildfires. He and his team answered the Coast Guard’s call to assist in the life-saving mission of rescuing people attempting to escape the inferno of Lahaina by sea. Riley and his team bravely sailed a Trilogy passenger vessel in complete darkness through 80mph winds, intense heat, and smoke, preparing the vessel to serve as a triage and transport platform for fire survivors.
