Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.

I once dropped 3 grams of fines in my bathroom floor. Swept the whole floor with a paint brush onto an index card and into a pan. Managed to recover 2.9 grams of it.
At the end of the season, old timers would burn their miners moss and pan the ashes. Next time you move house, burn your rugs... lol!

That was a fantastic video. Thanks for sharing the carpet spill scene, it's a rare opportunity to get a good demo on how to deal with that! I'm new to this and the very first time my kid and I went to weigh our total gold from the year, I tried to pour it on the pan, used a brush and the brush bristles amazingly flicked all of the little gold flakes and micro gold all over our dinner table...which incidentally had cookie crumbs all over the place. So, I was able to collect everything that looked suspicious and eat it....er I mean pan it out again. Anyway, thanks for posting your vids...gold panning is a new hobby that my boy and I started earlier this year; your videos are fun and kid friendly ...99.5% :-)...the 0.5% isn't too detectable, and thanks for that too!

Hey Chris, you make a ply pusher the same profile of the hopper in the high banker so you don't need to push the rocks around by hand so you can pull/push the rocks in one go, or even dam the end of the high banker up when you're digging clay filled soil.

Been there.My grandkids poured a 1 ounce vial of fine gold over the christmas tree to get more sparkle.That was a chore but I did recover 99% of it.I did not recover the 5g nugget they decided to polish in the sink.The trap did not catch it.I think the dish washer had enough power to push it threw.Moral is hide your gold from kids.Great vids and merryX mas to all.

Next time when you drop your gold on to your carpet, (wich I hope will never happen again) just use a piece of cloth and a rubber band, or a coffee filter in front of your vacuem cleaner, that way you can suck up your gold, without having the chance some gold getting lost inside your vacuem cleaner. Loving your video’s keep up the good work!!
A rag over the end of the nozzle on the vac cups in when the vac is going work great ,,,better than the way you did it as the gold stays on the rag and doesn't go through the machine

Always great videos and content. And GOLD! Not to be a know it all. I hope you go over your tailings with the SPC. I do QA/QC (15yrsplus) on very high tolerance machine work, electronics/cables, etc. I can tell you that if you go too fast, when doing visual checks, you will miss something even if you've done it a thousand times. Painful in the end of the Vid. Gold dust is in your filter now.

always wondered if there was a way to attach your water suction pipe to the top of the abby pump and have it suck directly of the bottom into the sluse. would save time and if it was a great pump would suck up fast something like water archaeologists use put with more umph since your just picking up stones etc then you know the bottom would just be clean and just gold to dig out with facemask or bucket viewer ie bucket with a glass bottom. :)
hi mate. If there is gems there it may be worth getting a set of gem sieves and busting some sieves with those course tailings. you never know where a nice big saphire may be hiding

But again if you would set your Highbanker up as a 2" drege at the vaccume nozzle take 10 ga wire and make a cross at it to keep rocks from jamming it up .
You will increase your gold content . Heck you may get by with an Inch 3/4 in let that pump will handle it no problem and you can make the venturi system from PVC sink pluming

You should've put a t-shirt or rag over the vacuum nosil and then you wouldn't have to empty the vacuum.....used to knock over the bong mix all the time in my teens 😂😂😉 now you'll have to try and get the flour gold out of every riffle in the vacuum hose flex 😂😂
