Enzo Fernandez is built for Spanish or Italian football, the premier league is too good and too quick for him.
The only way Enzo works is with someone who can make up for him defensively, Kante would have been a perfect match for him, Caicedo and Enzo just doesn’t work.

I really dont get the English media. When theres nothing newsworthy to report at the club they will do their best to avoid football questions and instead exaggerate or create any small little issue that has nothing to do with football (like creating the narrative that Raheem Sterling had been treated like soeme kind of slave worker despite being paid more in a week than most will earn in a lifetime😒😒 ). Fernández does well for Argentina, as a 6, sitting deep, linking with defense and forwards. Tough to compare to Rice and Rodri. Taller, faster, physically stronger box to box players. As a forward 8 okay, but balance needed to compensate for defensive liabilities - slow, easily by-passes, heught for aerial duels. Will be interesting what interim right back options and roles, Maresca uses in this mini injury suitation.
Once again, Caicedo is being misused, as just a CDM , has Maresca been watching Caicedo playing in South American qualifiers?, where Caicedo can play om the attack end just as well if not better then Fernandez,or maybe Maresca thinks that Caicedo is the better defender so it's best to keep Moi at the 6 till Lavia comes back so Moi can have more freedom to join the attack more often, although Caicedo's ball recoveries is what starts many of the attacks , Moi is many times the assist before the assist.
Have to admit, I’m worried about this game. The injury of both gusto and James is a big one. Disasi has no pace and will likely struggle. Caicedo could potentially go RB, and the midfield could get reshuffled with KDH in the midfield instead. Hopefully enzo has a plan since he will have known gusto and James won’t have been available for this match during the international break
