i just got one.. really needs a start/stop button but it's a decent machine.. and you can totally scratch 12" records, you just have to move your hand in a bit closer to the label or you tilt the record up and it kicks the arm and causes it to jump.. a bit harder to do really tight fast cuts but you can manage easily

a spell has been cast on my PT-01: it buzzes. Dreadful low hum grounding noise. Been on forums that recommended taking one cable, two cables, then entire USB unit out. The buzzing was unaffected. I tried scratching at low volumes where it doesn't buzz, to no avail. Then I notice the kill switch on mine is the other way around than she has it in this vid. What gives Numark? Good concept but can't you set it up the normal way without buzzes and the switch in the most habitual position?
HITLAOJ 02 yup. it is just hard to scratch them. It's good for everyone. My only suggestion is to add a proper fader to it, something like a mini Innofader Pro. But you can start with the standard unit - that's what Emma is using in this video.
@@artpena3266 Yes you can. It's the multiclick stuff like crabs that are trickier, but as the video shows you can do it all. It's just cleaner with an upgraded fader. My advice - learn the basics first, and if you want to carry on, then upgrade the fader.
Liam Smythe Thanks for the reply. do you have any idea how to connect the portable fader to numark for 01 scratch? I bought one from jddx2r but I don't know how it works.

Hi, just wondering where your phono leads went from the turntable. Do they go straight into an amplifier?
so it's only for right-fader and left-vynl?
No. You only have to look at the wealth of portablist videos to see that everyone uses them. It's just a matter of adapting.
Anyone have a link to where I can buy that record to scratch with?!
