My all time nemesis was called Krimp the Slaughterer. He was a level 16 archer captain that killed me early in the game when I was on a mission against other captains in a stronghold. He killed me enough to get to level 20, then killed me some more. He showed up everywhere. Later on when I got some more mastery of the game mechanics, he showed again, this time, I was ready. I interrogated and killed him. Then he came back...this time, I burned him alive. He came back with a burned body, cursing me for doing so. I killed him over and over. Always performing finishers and choosing the kill option in his downed state. After some time, it seemed he was gone. I reveled in my triumph against this persistent foe. Many hours of gameplay later, when I enter the final mission, who do I see greet me at the head of an Orc army? Krimp the Slaughterer. How could this be? The final showdown was upon me. But I cared more about settling old scores than defeating Sauron. I've killed Krimp 9 times. I hope I do not meet him a 10th
I just started the game and have played a few hours, and I have an archer enemy like that, atleast not anymore. But I killed him 6 times and he killed me 3 times and he started off as a normal archer.
LOL that's what makes this game so epic. Everyone here has a nemesis that they truly hate. Look up Angry Joe's video on this, pretty damn funny. Mine was Krunk I think. He killed me really early on and ya, he killed me about 8 times and I moved his pretty little power rating to 20 (FOKER!!!) I am still playing the game, so I have yet to get even, but the day will come RAISES ARM WITH SWORD* I WILL STRIKE FEAR INTO HIS HEART AND ....sorry carried away there. That's this game for ya. My son age 18, has defeated people like this. I read in the Lore part that their "healers" would just bandage up people, or amputate arms etc. BUT once their head is cut off, they can't come back... hint hint*
Tom Green I normally stealth killed my guy because he was vulnerable to it, but some times I would run into him when I was preoccupied and he would usually beat me. One time I actually interrogated him and then imploded his neck, haven't seen him since.
Went to kill a war chief today and like 5 captains showed up. Was surrounded by 40 orcs, I had to run away. And they always blow their fucking horns. Like if they would 1v1 me I'd whoop their ass but nope they are surrounded by 40 or so orcs. I also hate how that one captain appears when you're low on health. Like wtf.
Only gripe I have with the game is that they open up one of the best features (Branding) halfway through the campaign. Since they open things up almost instantly, you start spending a lot of time in Udun doing side stuff, making enemies etc not aware of the fact that an ability that pretty much allows you to influence the nemesis system isn't yours yet.
darrar90 In the land of Middle-earth people rarely "upgrade" Gandalf uses Glamding exclusively, Frodo/Bilbo with Sting Etc. Legolas upgrades ONCE because it's a gift from Gladriel. This isn't an RPG, with loot falling from the skies. It's an action game set in Middle-earth. The significant figures of ME tend to have named weapons that were forged either specifically for them or long before their lives. If you want to customize your gear go play an RPG! This game is about a very specific storyline and that storyline follows a character who has some legendary weapons like I described.
Some of the Uruk captain taunts (stuff they say when they see you) are just downright terrifying.. Then he clacks his teeth, as if biting and nibbling on something, and then licks his lips. I swear if you see that, you'll miss a heartbeat xD
Love how they post a video like this, and they didn't show a Warchief/Captain that's not effected by Range, Stealth and has Combat Master, with Monster slayer and maybe one weakness. Who else has gotten an Uruk like this? I know I've had my fair shares of these monsters.
Not as warchief but I have an archer Uruk who is immune to everything except ranged and that is literally his only weakness. He also heals and has poison shots among others things. I'm seriously struggling to beat him atm and I'm seriously worried he may become a warchief.
ragerancher my suggestion to you is to buy an attribute (forgot its name) that will help you against a foe like him. i was in a similar situation with an uruk called Kuga Luga. I screwed up a couple of times and he became a warchief and he did not have a single weakness except for ranged shots. The attribute that I am talking about will allow you to shoot unlimited fire arrows for 20 seconds. You can purchase it for 2500. This is the only way to beat an Uruk like that and they are by far the toughest to kill. No matter how powerful the uruk is if they can be stunned if you jump over them they're easy to kill but I realize the uruk your against will not allow you to jump over him. Needless to say I purchased the attribute and went to fight Kuga Luga, the fight was over as soon as it started and I danced over his dead corpse :) so ya, i would tell even issue out a death threat for that uruk and purchase the attribute, he will not stand a chance and will drop a hefty rare rune for your bow.
aghostshell I have had one with a shield, quick turn, you cant jump over him, not effected by range or stealth, and combat master. Oh yea and no chance... i ran every time i saw him
+The Real Sandwitch I really hate shields that I can't jump over also mine had humiliation so I he always disappeared. I eventually branded him and he is even more op then ever
Handy tip, when an Uruk is running for the alarm, he is actually vulnerable to Stealth Kill, so if your out of Shot, just charge up and insta kill him, no need to be concerned with trying to combo him as even if he knows your there, he's just too busy to stop you from plunging your dagger in his back.
Only a few problems I found with this game, otherwise it's stellar. The side missions are mind numbingly repetitive. The lack of armor and weapon customization. You can get runes for your sword dagger and bow, but as far as actually changing your sword or armor, you cant do that (as far as I know, I beat it to the main story line completion and put it down after that), so you'll look the same the entire game.
not being able to get new gear isnt nessesarily a fault in the game. not every game is a gear-based RPG. this is just an action game. theres customization in your abilities and runes. runes i agree are pretty simple changes, nothing big. but abilities are pretty important changes.
thisscreensucks I do think it's a flaw. It's become so standard and regular, that it no longer should be exempt from games. Especially not open world action RPGS. If dragon age can get down voted for no jumping, I think this is a safe flaw as well. Oh yea definitely the abilities are huge changes. In fact, if you aren't being clustered by 20 captains and warlords, they make the game ridiculously easy. But again, that's standard. It's just normal character progression. If it didn't have that, this game would hardly be considered an Rpg so I don't think you can credit it for that. That's like crediting a shooter because it has different guns. That's a given
jackson wojnowski the ending did what the ending is supposed to do. It finished the story and you understood the whole relationship between Talion and Celebrimbor, just because there was no giant boss fight doesn't mean the ending was terrible. The entire game is basically a boss fight anyway.
bulletkicksbutt "the entire game is basically a boss fight anyways" ????? are you srss? i beat this game in 3 days with less than 8hrs played. I even had 5 warchiefs before i even started story quests on the 2nd map. you are either 13 years old and do not understand the simplest of tasks. or you're trolling.
mike tyson I don't give a shit how long it took you to complete the game. War chiefs were basically the bosses for this game, and since there was no end to them, then yes, this entire game is pretty much a boss fight. Go cry somewhere else
The game was fun, but I was honestly disappointed with the final 3 bosses. Hammer was basically just a Warchief reskinned to be a human, Tower was stealth brand and quicktime event, and Sauron was press X twice, then press Triangle and you're done. The actual end was fucking awesome, but the boss fights left me thinking, "Really? C'mon! Give me a challenge!"
Such an awesome game. I got this with all the expansion packs off of Steam for $25 last Christmas. I just started playing the game. I am about 5 hours in. Definitely one of my favourite games of all time already.
For the past couple of days, I've been branding captains, getting them up to the level cap of twenty and then assigning them as body guards for one chief. Every captain was under his command without exception. Then I wen't and summoned my other chiefs before dispatching them. Finally, i challenged the chief commanding the captains, beat him, branded him, and dismissed him. Then I went to his Beck and call mission and summoned him along with his twenty odd level twenty guards, most of who had death threats on them because fighting those captains is easy now, and finally dispatched them all at once. The Nemesis system in mordor has been wiped clean entirely. And then I set about collecting twenty runes, about half of'em epic. I now have infinite lethal shadow strike.
I have fought a level 24 archer. He is invulnerable to ranged and stealth, a combat master and a monster slayer. His only weakness is injured by explosions.
incredible game i love it! the challenge is so hard yet it feels real. its not just a cheese fest go in and kill hit square circle yawn. No you have to watch what you are doing and strategy plays a big part. This is the most fun ive ever had.
So here's a fun little story. There was a bodyguard, flak the immovable, who i wanted to kill to easier kill the warcheif. However, flak could only be damaged by ranged attacks, and since there were always 3 or more captains around him, he was impossible to kill. But when i did do it, he decided to come back to make me experience the struggle in killing him again
Pin ability is best ability. So many possible escapes were thwarted. It also opens enemies up to stun (i once fought a shield/spear warcheif that ignored my stun attempts from the front, back, and mid attack. I thought he was completely immune to the stun. But then i pinned him and i was able to stun, flurry strike, combat drain, rinse and repeat till he was dead. The hardest one for my by far with no weaknesses and resistant to valuting. He came with a crew too.
+shadow of blood What do you mean by that? Like do you just close the game and it doesn't being you back to that point? Whenever I close it as long as I'm not in the middle of a mission it should be right around where I left off
During my playthrough I had two captains that really stood out: 1. (...) the Advisor, who had about every weakness avaible. After I found out about him, he died like 5 minutes later. 2. Some guy who was the first one with the easiest weakness ever: charged bowshot weakness. One shot kill :3
The first warchief I fought was in the same fortress as this one and had a vulnerability (AKA 1HKO) to Caragors. Suffice to say, that was the easiest warchief ever. The hardest part of the whole encounter was getting one of the orcs to sound the alarm (which was one of the requirements to get him out) because the Caragors killed them all too quickly.
I fought the same orc 5 different times, and he would keep on showing up if i kept playing the game lol. I even decapitated him twice and he comes back.
Frankly, you guys were pretty lucky are just very good to be able to pull this off considering you went up against a warchief with what seems like the bare bones of upgrades and runes.
Try it when he has immune to combat finishers too. You can basically get Warchiefs who are immune to Talion's every attack even beasts. Advice if you ever find yourself in such a situation is to combat brand his followers and let them gang up on him for you.
Why do the Uruks come back to life? I've killed the Muzo ( or whatever his name is) but he kept coming back. Apparently one of the time that I killed him, I blinded his eye so when he came back, he has a patch over his eye.
it's quite cool though how you can affect them, like if you burn them they can come back burnt and will curse you for it, there lots of other things too
"The way he leaps off of towers and gracefully flips through the air before landing in a superhero pose is just full of the badass power of a vengeful ranger possessed by an equally vengeful undead elf lord."
Some orcs just refuse to die. Specially some captains. I faced a captain called Hoshgrish the Executioner and killed him 6 times throughout my quest. Dude literally comes back alive stronger than before. And he becomes immune to the strategy which killed him last time. For example, when my pet caragor ate him alive he came back with ' Hate of Caragor ' ability. Next I executed him and he returned with ' Combat Master ' ability. I finally dominated him as soon as I got the Brand power.
i got a warchief with 1 weakness he can be hit by beasts but he has a hate for graugs and caragors and he immune to combat finishers ranged stealth fire and has about every buff there is he also has 23 power, im so happy i already branded him
my first run ever i probably had the hardest warchiefs ever. they were a bunch of massive dudes with shields and spears who had 2-3 bodygaurds each. It was the most rage inducing playthrough of all time, and my main nemsis was a man by the name of Borg the Massive. literallly could not kill him to the point where i restarted my pllaythrough in hopes of rolling easier warchiefs. He killed me so much that he became level 20. He had no fears at all, and only weakness was he was scared of those flies. Which i had no clue how to exploit at the time
I literally got the four hardest war chiefs. But it's not the actual war chiefs themselves, it's the fact that the requirements to get them out all end up with 50 orcs all surrounding you with no escape
Sauron will simply reanimate captains unless you explode/decapitate their head, if you look on the Sauron's army screen, if they are lying down, they will come back. If their head is on a pike, they are not coming back.
i have a veteran captain that kiled me a few times as i was first starting the game. Ronk the Crafty. was able to kill him once with a brutalized stealth kill. power of 17, hes a combat master, invulnerable to ranged, monster slayer, battle hardened, savage weapon, jump attacks; heavy attacks and rapid attacks. hes a pain in the arse
Thrak the Smasher, killed me 6 times IN ONE HIT! I killed him 7 times and he came back scarred, and then became a warchief, so I set up some bodyguards, and branded him! He kills everything without even getting on half health, and I hope he comes for me in Shadow of War.
Gungsten The Black was mine. He was surprisingly tough. I killed him alot, but the last time I burnt him alive. He was dead... but then Gungsten the White came into the fray sometime later. I just about chucked my controller at the screen.
My nemesis in the game was Mogg the Gluttonous. He was a grunt who happened to kill me out of like 40 uruks early on and became a captain. I killed him like 5 times and he would always come back. Then after I finally thought I had killed him for good he turned up as one of the enemy captains when I was going in to fight the Black Hand of Sauron. Then I finally killed him and it was really satisfying.
I had 6 different nemesis, I can’t even decide which of them are my true nemesis, they have all killed me so many times Whenever I try to battle one of the Nemesis, two of the other Nemesis would pop up and assist the other nemesis in killing me. They were like a squad, they never tried to battle each other, they only ever went after me or the weaker captains. I remember one time when all 6 of the Nemesis showed up at a battle, I was able to kill most of the normal orcs so I had to fight my 6 nemesis, 6 v 1 I was just about to kill one of the nemesis, when suddenly one of the other nemesis shot me with an arrow and killed me. I remember that I managed to kill one of the nemesis one time, I shot a fireplace that he was next to, and I assumed he died. But when I confronted another one of my Nemesis, he suddenly appeared with half of his face peeled off. By Nemesis, I mean that it’s the same orc constantly, I’m not talking about regular captains or warlords, I mean actual nemesis who constantly killed me and went after me
I had to fight 20 power captains because they kept coming and are very tough, once I learned how to explode heads, I hunted them down and it was awesome
I had my arse repeatedly kicked by a particular Warchief who seemed to be invulnerable to pretty much everything. To top it off, he had three bodyguards! Once I unlocked the Brand ability, I branded a captain and had him enlist as a fourth bodyguard to have an inside-man. This then gave me the idea to hunt down the other three bodyguards and brand them as well. When facing the Warchief once again, I had his own bodyguards all gang up on him and the four of them absolutely slaughtered his sorry arse. Bit of a dirty move but so satisfying! It's awesome how this game gives you so much freedom to approach any situation as you see fit!
When you had Glimub alone and terrified outside the fortress his icon was green meaning you couldve grabbed him and killed him in one blow or even gotten information. Its not that everything went wrong, you just didn't know what you were doing.
You got lucky I got khrosh bow master which has 14 power 3 guards who keep resurrecting a lot of normal uruks and the warchief killed me with 4 shots in 15 seconds he's the only one I didn't kill
Rocketman887 warchiefs aren't all that hard alone (or with body guards (but you really should be killing off the body guards before the chief)) if you have decent perks.
My nemesis was Ugruk the Mad, of which he was. And I quote him, when i say this, "The worms in his head go wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle!". This game is amazing, even though Ugruk killed me 27 times.
I fought a warcheif once. His name was Tumog Bone Crusher and was weak only to combat finishers, but he had a shield, preventing any frontal attack. My strategy? I killed off all of the orcs surrounding him,( he calls orcs in so I took a while) while slowly backing away from where he spawned (so no more orcs could follow) . I hid a bit and stealth drained some to get my elf shot up and when Tumog and I were alone, I just drain-spammed him. He died evantually but it worked. 101 on how to cheese a warcheif.
The toughest enemy I ever faced was Goroth the Ear-collector. He killed me early on when I was just starting. And he kept showing up, killing me, and becoming more powerful. I could've killed him had he not been surrounded or fled every time he came close to defeat. I eventually caught him alone and finally killed him. He came back about 3 times afterwards.
Most of my war chiefs were easy to kill, but they would have the most random difficult challenges to call them out. Another way to deal with the war chief bodyguard (or multiple with similar weaknesses) is to ride a character and shoot them in the face while in an arena... I would say that's a pretty awesome kill XD.
I once fought a *inhales* combat master, poison archer, group of followers, invulnerable to stealth and ranged, monster hunter, doesn't run, level 20 warchief. I nearly deleted the game after about 20 tries, but I finally beat him
I killed my could have been nemesis in story mode as soon as I could. I failed to kill him once so he became stronger. When i found out that there was a death penalty, i farmed captains so hard and did so many challenges to the point that I've felt that I just over did it. What confirmes my suspicions was when I killed him in a minute.
The easiest way to kill warchiefs is to brutalize kill the minions around him. Make sure you have the extra fear from brutalize attacks. When you do it they will all run away, and the captains might run away as well. Then from there, just keep flurry attacking him, attacking him on the ground, then execute him. Keep repeating until he dies.
The funnest way was to Brand their bodyguards then send the bodyguards to betray their warchief they'll meet the warchief at a secluded place and try to kill him you can just come in without having to fight 50 orcs
Help!? I have like really difficult warchiefs, they have poisonous spike spears and shields, I can't lay one attack on with him and when I use my bow he regains health?
I maybe late but trust me. You want to get this game. Absolute fun from the first play. Great skill and attack. If You love assassin creed, you will like this more
Amongst the disappointing story of Destiny, the terrible company decisions and bugs in Assassin's Creed and Master Chief Collection and the monotony of a Call of Duty game, Shadow of Mordor is refreshing as surprisingly solid. You won't want to miss this even if you're not a Lord of the Rings fan.
One time i killed the same captain 5 times. The forst time i fought him was in the beginning of the game when i was looking for the slaver. He was super weak but he had he poison sword, so i killed him fairly easily. Next time i found him he had a rag covering his head and he was a combat master. He was invulnerable to stealth and i didnt know until i decided to just try to stealth attack him, because i was trying to stun him to death which didnt work. I killed him with stealth easily, next time i killed him was extremely easy because i just kept stealth killing him. After my fifth time killing him his body disappeared completely. Yay
The only nemesis I ever had was a archer captain, it was before I learnt how to actually use executions. After that I never had a single nemesis as I pretty much had to feed them to make them a problem. The way you kill a warchief when everything goes wrong is: 1: Jump over him and get a execution ready, if you can't jump over isolate him from everyone else and fight him normally until you get a execution ready. 2: Use the execution. If fighting in a crowed, kill the crowed off with executions as you are immortal with them. 3: Repeat step 1 and 2 until he is dead. The hardest part of this game is to learn when you can preform special abilities, after that this games look just like the movies where you can kill orks by picking up a stick as a main weapon and headbutt them to death like its nothing.
waldoman7 You can just attack a few other orcs and then just use executes on the warchief. Fighting in a group of orcs isn't that much of a disadvantage.
Takes so much thought to be successful in this game, and I love it, but I also hate it. Especially when I charge a chief, then there just so happens to be two other chiefs, and a bunch of grunts that I didn't see.

r.i.p krimp

Krimps are bugs...sorry...

It is amazing how powerful you can get but still get overwhelmed in this game

That's part of what makes the game fun and challenging.
Thedoubt I know!
not difficult at all, 5 blow kill streak and double execution makes it quiet easy
Sean Bfrao i actually went and leveled myself up then came back and killed them all.
Thedoubt I've killed everyone now too
just got this game; my fav game so far if you're reading this don't hesitate to grab a copy!!
im literally looking for this game for months...i want to download it can't find any proper link
G2a
no i don't want to buy it
Well you're being a cheap skate
+djaawoo dolidaria have you ever heard of steam
My nemesis was Olgoth the Coward, HE WASN'T A FREAKING COWARD! Killed me 13 times.
+Steven Holmshaw Mine IS Uruk the Coward and man, like you said, he wasnt a coward, went from a regular enemy to legendary captain.
Shadow Fall I accidentally marked him for death, so now the bugger is swarmed by berzerkers.
+Steven Holmshaw mine was a crossbow guy, you cant dodge or block his attacks which always 1 shotted me
Wheatley That is so broken, glad you're in space where he can't shoot you.
I used caragors...lots of caragors, they eated him
this game is SAVAGE; very underrated game!!!!! loving it so far
I agree that its underrated.
Same
It was game of the year...
Great game but defiantly not underrated
Not underrated, in your opinion

Brandon Carter Calm down, it doesn't have to be an RPG just because you can customize your character even the slightest bit.
2 years later, and SoW has more rpg systems....
Some of the Uruk captain taunts (stuff they say when they see you) are just downright terrifying..

I swear if you see that, you'll miss a heartbeat xD
I had one that was just yelling the words buttons and muffins. I was really confused. Then I had another one that just giggled really creepily
Mozu is creepy as hell. Been playing this game and I saw him lmao.
Had one just yell worms for a long time then he said worms in my head very weird and confusing
I love when they speak over each other. not annoying at all
"im very good shot" proceed to miss half his shots
love how every enemy in the game can potentially become a war chief i wished arkham knight had a similar system to this but make it a wanted list
Love how they post a video like this, and they didn't show a Warchief/Captain that's not effected by Range, Stealth and has Combat Master, with Monster slayer and maybe one weakness. Who else has gotten an Uruk like this? I know I've had my fair shares of these monsters.

Imagine Talion, Celebrimbor, and Aragorn as High King going up against the last remaining Uruks. Just Imagine how epic that would be.
Ok.
AdmiralFlynn895 lol what
Only a few problems I found with this game, otherwise it's stellar.

thisscreensucks I do think it's a flaw.
That's a given
Actually you can change the appearance of your weapon by playing the side mission.. :)
It's not an RPG, why does everyone think that because it's medieval themed it must be an RPG game.
My nemesis was Goroth the Swift. Absolutely terrified me. Had one weakness and basically every strength. Killed him when he was on his own
I love this game. The ending was so awesome. This is be my first platinum trophy game because I will do everything that can be done.
Someone that likes quick time events? You and your kind aren't welcome here..jk but still seriously?!
jackson wojnowski the ending did what the ending is supposed to do.
Wait. You can kill the bodyguards? I had no idea. I'm struggling on the Warchiefs right now. Just got the game.
Yeah I'd usually just brand the bodyguards if you're that far yet, then send them to betray their own warchief. Usually was an easy kill.
Surprisingly the first time I saw a warcheife it was for ratbag but I domanated him
Ramon Peters boi I am dead laughing
And im here waiting for XBox 360 to release Shadow of Mordor. Man I want to play the game -.-
fucking dumb ass get it for ps4
buy a PC like every normal human being
Chr Vladimirov Said the guy who wrote "buy a PC like every normal human being"! Sounds like The Man 8000 isn't the only lunatic.
The Man 8000 calm down bro. I like the ps4 better than any gaming device, but don't need to be a dick about it
herofromthedark what? it's true
Stop trying to sound cool cause you're really not
ikr nobody cares about his 20 bodygaurds
+Master Yoda lmaoo
Now try and brand the fuckin' warchiefs.
Your picture goes so well with the comment.
Just branded all the warchiefs on my save last night. It was so much fun to do.
I like that idea
Pin ability is best ability. So many possible escapes were thwarted. It also opens enemies up to stun (i once fought a shield/spear warcheif that ignored my stun attempts from the front, back, and mid attack. I thought he was completely immune to the stun. But then i pinned him and i was able to stun, flurry strike, combat drain, rinse and repeat till he was dead. The hardest one for my by far with no weaknesses and resistant to valuting. He came with a crew too.
I just got this game and I love it hahaha (so late) I hope they add co op for the 2nd one :D
Same
Same
I also just got it lol. It's super fun to play while waiting for all the games in the fall/winter to come out.
+shadow of blood What do you mean by that? Like do you just close the game and it doesn't being you back to that point? Whenever I close it as long as I'm not in the middle of a mission it should be right around where I left off
+shadow of blood Its probably just a problem with your saved data srorage
During my playthrough I had two captains that really stood out:
1. (...) the Advisor, who had about every weakness avaible. After I found out about him, he died like 5 minutes later.
2. Some guy who was the first one with the easiest weakness ever: charged bowshot weakness. One shot kill :3
Geez, one of my warchiefs was OP. His only weakness was he could be attacked by combat finishers, and he had about 10 different strengths.
Virtual Bass se storm of urfael, you can dolike 20 executions
I find that when you kill a warchief, captains become terrified at the death, meaning it's very easy to kill them all.
Yeah but try to kill legendary warchiefs when legendary douchebags derping around, that could become quite tricky
Aft3rmath just stealth them over and over
Aft3rmath
I have. A lot. Several times. It works for me. I just exploit the warchief's weaknesses to the maximum.
Some of the best gameplay I've seen in awhile
When I try to fucking beat a target another fucking target comes its so fucking confusing
when ever i try to stealth kill an uruk, it's a captain with invulnerability to fucking stealth kills....................
Try it when he has immune to combat finishers too. You can basically get Warchiefs who are immune to Talion's every attack even beasts. Advice if you ever find yourself in such a situation is to combat brand his followers and let them gang up on him for you.
Great Game
+Metrix Man Yes it is.
+try hard fan i play it now.talion is such a badass
I love how this game is actually challenging
+JoeyKuel I thought it was pretty easy to be honest. Still a great game.
+Top Skills yeah i posted that like the same hour i first played it and its a breeze now lol
JoeyKuel
I liked the Celebrimbor DLC better. The ending was actually hard
idk, i don't have money so i haven't bought it yet
Why do the Uruks come back to life? I've killed the Muzo ( or whatever his name is) but he kept coming back. Apparently one of the time that I killed him, I blinded his eye so when he came back, he has a patch over his eye.
it's quite cool though how you can affect them, like if you burn them they can come back burnt and will curse you for it, there lots of other things too
the same way you come back they do as well
Cut their heads off
+Flaming Bag of Crisps how you do that ? i'm new to the game
Slayer Undamaged you basically do the execution on them. When they have low health, you do the melee finisher when you press two button together.
the audio of that IGN logo at the beginning!!..love it!!
This game looks terrible on consoles. Pc graphics looks amazing.
k.
looks great on ps4
i had a warchief that only was weak against combat finisher and he had 3 bodyguards (elite captains) pluss a million Uruks around him
I suck hard at this game.
Me too
"The way he leaps off of towers and gracefully flips through the air before landing in a superhero pose is just full of the badass power of a vengeful ranger possessed by an equally vengeful undead elf lord."
This game is ridiculously fun. Gotta love that nemesis system
tbh the orc captains in the first one look so much more badass than the second
Some orcs just refuse to die. Specially some captains. I faced a captain called Hoshgrish the Executioner and killed him 6 times throughout my quest. Dude literally comes back alive stronger than before. And he becomes immune to the strategy which killed him last time. For example, when my pet caragor ate him alive he came back with ' Hate of Caragor ' ability. Next I executed him and he returned with ' Combat Master ' ability. I finally dominated him as soon as I got the Brand power.
I didn't think I would like this game but I am in love.
half of the abilities you guys just used i never knew existed such as the fast sprint
i got a warchief with 1 weakness he can be hit by beasts but he has a hate for graugs and caragors and he immune to combat finishers ranged stealth fire and has about every buff there is he also has 23 power, im so happy i already branded him
my first run ever i probably had the hardest warchiefs ever. they were a bunch of massive dudes with shields and spears who had 2-3 bodygaurds each.
Just Bought this game on psn flash sale for 8$ dollars. Game of the year edition so it comes with all the expansion dlcs. Can't wait to get into it!
Sauron will simply reanimate captains unless you explode/decapitate their head, if you look on the Sauron's army screen, if they are lying down, they will come back. If their head is on a pike, they are not coming back.
It's amazing how much better this games graphics look on the ps4
I once had a warchief who was invincible to monsters fire archery and stealth and he had a vaultbreaker captain following him
i have a veteran captain that kiled me a few times as i was first starting the game. Ronk the Crafty. was able to kill him once with a brutalized stealth kill. power of 17, hes a combat master, invulnerable to ranged, monster slayer, battle hardened, savage weapon, jump attacks; heavy attacks and rapid attacks. hes a pain in the arse
You guys a awesomeness ! Making what I consider bloody scary ...funny lol
I had 6 different nemesis, I can’t even decide which of them are my true nemesis, they have all killed me so many times
Whenever I try to battle one of the Nemesis, two of the other Nemesis would pop up and assist the other nemesis in killing me. They were like a squad, they never tried to battle each other, they only ever went after me or the weaker captains.
I remember one time when all 6 of the Nemesis showed up at a battle, I was able to kill most of the normal orcs so I had to fight my 6 nemesis, 6 v 1
I was just about to kill one of the nemesis, when suddenly one of the other nemesis shot me with an arrow and killed me.
I had 2 warchiefs that could be one-hit killed with a stealth attack. So that was kinda dope
I bought four runes for $4 dollars, and they are awesome, one of them makes your sword catch on fire during a hit streak
When you had Glimub alone and terrified outside the fortress his icon was green meaning you couldve grabbed him and killed him in one blow or even gotten information. Its not that everything went wrong, you just didn't know what you were doing.
Once the mail quest was done, I took over all the orcs in the ranks and killed them all with the perk. Best. Feeling. Ever.
I once popped off a head of a weak captain
Ya know, a flurry kill.....BUT HE CAME BACK WITH A HEAD, but he had a wraith burn scar
The orc's names are in Black Speech which according to Tolkien was based on Mongolian.
I had 2 warchiefs that were able to be instant killed with stealth, was amazing.
I have Malmug the ear collector
Most of my war chiefs were easy to kill, but they would have the most random difficult challenges to call them out. Another way to deal with the war chief bodyguard (or multiple with similar weaknesses) is to ride a character and shoot them in the face while in an arena... I would say that's a pretty awesome kill XD.
Caragor*
The funny thing is if you let him trigger the alarm it wouldn't make any difference as you were heavily surrounded by orcs anyways
Wraith stun - Sword slashs - Combat finisher - repeat beat pretty much every enemy in the game.
I once fought a *inhales* combat master, poison archer, group of followers, invulnerable to stealth and ranged, monster hunter, doesn't run, level 20 warchief. I nearly deleted the game after about 20 tries, but I finally beat him
I just recently bought this game on a psn store sale, thes best $10.99usd i have spent in years, totally worth it.
My nemesis was a warchief in Udûn named Narûg The Cook. He killed me so many times. His power was like 22.
you guys made that look so easy
this shit is so frustrating
this put a huge roadblock in the flow and progression of my game
having to kill 4 of them is a frustrating grind
All I could think when they were fighting the war chief was grab him... grab him... GRAB HIM!!!!
The funnest way was to Brand their bodyguards then send the bodyguards to betray their warchief they'll meet the warchief at a secluded place and try to kill him you can just come in without having to fight 50 orcs
ill come back when I see his name by I rember facing a warcheif with invulnerablity to sword attacks and stealth
4:20 I heard "spiderman" in the background lol
The way you kill a warchief when everything goes wrong is:
1: Jump over him and get a execution ready, if you can't jump over isolate him from everyone else and fight him normally until you get a execution ready.
2: Use the execution. If fighting in a crowed, kill the crowed off with executions as you are immortal with them.
3: Repeat step 1 and 2 until he is dead.
The hardest part of this game is to learn when you can preform special abilities, after that this games look just like the movies where you can kill orks by picking up a stick as a main weapon and headbutt them to death like its nothing.
if he can't be jumped over and has a shield, he can't be fought normally
waldoman7 Yes, they can. It's a skill called Wraith Stun. Hit them with that and then they are vulnerable to normal attacks.
waldoman7 You can just attack a few other orcs and then just use executes on the warchief. Fighting in a group of orcs isn't that much of a disadvantage.
Jonathan Miller sheild blocks stun
waldoman7 ...only from the front. I just got my platinum trophy in this game last night! *happy dance*
Middle Earth Shadow Of Mordor is such an awesome game 😮🙂. Killing Warchiefs can be tough but it is rewarding after you finish them 😁
When everything goes wrong I run away
I got REALLY lucky with my war chiefs. The first one I fought could be instantly killed by stealth. The rest have had few bodyguards.
Takes so much thought to be successful in this game, and I love it, but I also hate it. Especially when I charge a chief, then there just so happens to be two other chiefs, and a bunch of grunts that I didn't see.
I have the hardest warchiefs. All of them are vulnerable to nothing.Byt i have to say they lokk badass.
Also they give out three runes and the Black Hands outfit for FREE
Gimube the metal beater is the name of my very powerful nemesis
