As an amateur boxing and muay thai practitioner i would say don’t do this if u really want to have strong knuckles and wrist, this would just make your future worst If you really want iron fist just do this : Knuckle pushup (normal pushup but with your fist) Punching heavy bag (with wraps on and good technique , it will gradually make your knuckle stronger) And if u really want massive knuckles than just punch a wall (not like this dude though, use 10-15% of power just slowly punch the wall u will still feel pain but this low amount of power won’t do anything serious damage to your hand and u would gradually get a stronger knuckle)

as a trained fighter iron fist should be one of the outcome of training but it should not be a particular goal itself hence training like thins is of no use to punch train your triceps for punch force and forearms to high muscle mass which gives more inertial force to the punch

Anyone that sees this comment, please don't do this. You'll just destroy your hand. Trust me, you'd rather feel pain on your hand than look like that. You probably won't even be fighting most of the time, just leave your hands as they are and focus on technique.
FYI be careful with doing this. Though it can make your bones harder, it does not make them more pliable which means they can become more brittle (and yes something can be hard and brittle at the same time), which could possibly make it more likely to break the bone when punching really hard. Just be smart and safe when trying this and allow your hands to have enough time to recover. Some people might not progress right and just start punching hard surfaces with a lot of power which could cause an injury.
@@Mango-sb7df it’s the same reason why most boxing coaches will get pissed off when you punch a heavy bag without gloves… it takes a while for your bones to adapt to such stresses sense it’s not like muscles which heal relatively quickly. Sense every person’s biology is different I can’t with good conscience say when you would be able to start punching hard surfaces without serious injury. Just start slow and don’t do it chronically. There’s a difference between strengthening your shins with a wooden stick and punching a hard surface with your hands since your hands have multiple small and delicate bones compared to a thick singular bone like the shin.
@@Mango-sb7df I would say start by just punching with gloves or some type of padding, and if you do that consistently for a few months you MIGHT THEN be able to progress to to harder surfaces. Just be wary cuz if you wanna be an artist or surgeon in the future you’re gonna have some trouble since it will cause your hands to be less maneuverable.
Never had any issues. Been punching concrete walls for training since i was 14. Sounds like an excuse weak people use because they cannot achieve this level of strenght.

This is actually a good method. You break your knuckles only for your body to reinforce those broken knuckles with more calcium thereby hardening them and increasing their durability.
Fun fact punching walls or trees doesn’t strengthen your knuckles. When you keep hitting something over and over again you get used to the pain but later down the line you can end up with chronic bone diseases in the bones and weird knuckles such as this gentleman. His knuckles are not made of muscle, they are made of bone so his hands are adapting to him punching hard surfaces so the next time his hands come in contact with something solid they are ready (but not really) to take damage. Please don’t punch walls to strengthen your hands instead you should use squeezing exercises and wrist strengthening techniques if you want strong hands as you will engage all the muscles connected to hand. 👍

as a trained fighter iron fist should be one of the outcome of training but it should not be a particular goal itself hence training like thins is of no use to punch train your triceps for punch force and forearms to high muscle mass which gives more inertial force to the punch

FYI be careful with doing this. Though it can make your bones harder, it does not make them more pliable which means they can become more brittle (and yes something can be hard and brittle at the same time), which could possibly make it more likely to break the bone when punching really hard.
Just be smart and safe when trying this and allow your hands to have enough time to recover. Some people might not progress right and just start punching hard surfaces with a lot of power which could cause an injury.

@@Mango-sb7df it’s the same reason why most boxing coaches will get pissed off when you punch a heavy bag without gloves… it takes a while for your bones to adapt to such stresses sense it’s not like muscles which heal relatively quickly. Sense every person’s biology is different I can’t with good conscience say when you would be able to start punching hard surfaces without serious injury. Just start slow and don’t do it chronically.
There’s a difference between strengthening your shins with a wooden stick and punching a hard surface with your hands since your hands have multiple small and delicate bones compared to a thick singular bone like the shin.
@@Mango-sb7df I would say start by just punching with gloves or some type of padding, and if you do that consistently for a few months you MIGHT THEN be able to progress to to harder surfaces.

This is actually a good method. You break your knuckles only for your body to reinforce those broken knuckles with more calcium thereby hardening them and increasing their durability.
Fun fact punching walls or trees doesn’t strengthen your knuckles. When you keep hitting something over and over again you get used to the pain but later down the line you can end up with chronic bone diseases in the bones and weird knuckles such as this gentleman. His knuckles are not made of muscle, they are made of bone so his hands are adapting to him punching hard surfaces so the next time his hands come in contact with something solid they are ready (but not really) to take damage. Please don’t punch walls to strengthen your hands instead you should use squeezing exercises and wrist strengthening techniques if you want strong hands as you will engage all the muscles connected to hand. 👍
