I use the mic on my Corsair HS80. Great sounding mic and works for my discord calls and even streaming on twitch (after some mic EQ and filters within OBS). However, I love the competition within USB mics. We are nearing the days where you don't need XLR + Audio Interfaces for good sounding/quality audio.
Loved your enthusiastic review! 😃 I really love the ring of light on it. 😍 The flashing mute to me is a good thing to notice I am still muted. 👌 Would have liked to see you test the mic with the boom it came with. Thanks for your vetted perspective on this.
Using the steelseries gg “sonar” feature is so good for this microphone too the tuning is immaculate and paired with the artic nova pro headphone its an amazing combo for sound streaming and gaming
To fix the mute issue (blinking RGB), you could use "VoiceMeeter" (or "VirtualCable") to route your mic input to a virtual input which you could then set as recording device instead of the mic directly. Then you can install "Torkils MicMuter" (e.g.) to mute it. Thereby your recording device is muted while the Deity is not and therefore does not blink.
I've thought about getting an external mic, but I don't podcast or stream. I mainly just talk with people when I'm playing an online game or whatnot. And for that, a headset mic seems totally fine. Currently I'm using the PC38X, but in the past I've a Vmoda boom pro. Both are very good headset mics.
If you have an Nvidia RTX card (i.e. 20 series or greater), you can use something like a Blue Yeti condenser microphone and use Nvidia Broadcast to get rid of pretty much all background noise. I did it for a while and it was fantastic. Cheapest route to go for a great sounding mic as far as my knowledge goes.
@@avatahr7547 RTX voice is now available for GTX cards, the Nvidia Broadcast software is for the RTX cards now. I know because I have it running on my GTX1080 however youll need to keep in mind that it will use CPU power to compensate for the missing RTX cores so you might not like that when gaming
Friend I m also planning to buy this for voiceovers … and vocals time by time too… As I looked amazon comments and around… 1 - after restarting pc it needs unplug and plug 2 - delaying on garage band … hows ur current experiences ?
Like you I main Deity mics for just about everything. D3 on my camera , D3 Pro on boom for talking head, Lav mic for out and about, however I currently use the Blue Yeti X when I stream so I'm looking forward to comparing the Deity V0-7U against the Yeti X.
Gotta keep in mind that the sound tests are comparing a dynamic microphone to condenser microphones. The condensers will sound more full but also pick up more background noise. I personally don’t like dynamic mics because you don’t get any freedom to move around and the mic has to be visible in the camera. Nice video Techne!
Hey Techne i saw that you don't like the red blinking lights on the deity. If you want a way that you can stop it from blinking is that you can go in your settings and put on push to talk most likely in the audio which you can leave your mic on and in the game you'll still be muted and then you can just push a button and talk when you need it.
only thing I don't like about my Deity is the gain nob has to be pretty cranked (def over 50%) to be able to be heard. Which means you're going to pick up more background noise like TV's or people talking in the room. It wouldn't matter so much if you're alone in your bedroom lets say. But still the gain does have to be cranked just to be used.
I bought this microphone and unfortunately the headphone Jack is pretty much unusable. It sounds really bad compared to my computer or controller. Ugh I’m so sad. Back to the Elgato Wave 3.
Is there software to tweak RGB lighting? I for one would love the flashing while mute, because I spend most of my time unmuted and when I eventually mute, I forget about it haha. Looks like a good product though👍
sir did you keep mic gain at halfway? and what level did you keep your sound setting within windows? like right click sound then properties on the mic then what level is it there?
Just got this mic Friday but there is like a weird webcam noise when I talk. I don’t have a webcam either. Do you have any suggestions on what I could do to fix it?
do you use an external mic, or a mic on your headset/headphones?
I use mic on my arctis 5 headset and i love it :)
external, namely the fifine k699b. check it out!
Just started using an external mic for gaming and work.

I just got the Sennheiser Profile and love it. Best budget mic under $100.00.
You have officially sold me on another product. Have to pre-order it, but cannot wait to try this out. Thanks for another awesome vid.
did you see the white version? man it's so hot
Sounds mid i own 3 mics that are cheaper that in my opinion sound better.

just returned mine, it delays on garageband and the tech said it can't be fixed on the most recent version of garageband

Why can't you move around dynamic mics?
For streaming and podcasting isn't dynamic better?
Less background noise among other things?
Awesome review. This Mic sounds AMAZIG buddy
Check out the beacn mic, it is apparently like super good for a usb mic

You should make a Beacn Mic review video. I have mixed feelings about the product, and I would like your thoughts on the microphone. 👍

Thought it would be like $300. Do you think this is worth it over something like the shure?
Yes you looking at 500+ after Amp and arm for the s7b
