When i was in 4th grade, we had spectralert advances in our portables in each room and the hallway. All of the alarms were on high volume. In 5th grade, we had spectralert classics in each classroom on high volume.
The PA400 is one of the most annoying and loud alarms ever made, I don’t really like them, thank God they were discontinued, back in elementary school we had one in the library and it scared the crap out me, and the Wheelock AH-24 right on the outside of the library as you walk out to evacuate to the blacktop doesn’t make things better
They had Simplex 9838's in the HS I went to which had three buildings, the freshman/sophomore building, the junior/senior building, and the big gymnasium. In the Freshman/sophomore and gym buildings they had the strobe plates mounted like yours but in the junior/senior building they were mounted on the bottom of the horn. The Freshman building was set to march time, the Senior building on continuous and I never got to hear what the guym one was set to.
You should install magnets to hold your doors open and release when the fire alarm goes off into your home system or at least do a demonstration of that
What does supervisory mean on a panel I saw a supervisory on a Annunciator last week? I have 9838 horns in the gym at my school. How dies a panel detect a trouble?
That's what my Middle school (Robbinsdale Middle School - Robbinsdale MN) has for old Fire Alarms! 😃😃😃😃😃 ×, But sadly, most of them had to get torn down to make room for the Simplex Truealerts. 😞😞😞

That Simplex strobe is the 4904-9501. Austin High School (MN not TX) has the same alarms.
Did you change the tone on the Simplex 2901-9838 yourself, or was the tone default?

Nice my elementary school did the same thing but we had simplex smoke detectors and it was on continuous
supervisory works when a diffrence in voltage happens or the circut is completly broken
