Backups are just smart! When you find a piece you love, it will not necessarily be available forever (i.e. the Loewe bag with feet). When you find something you are obsessed with, you should consider buying a backup for sure.

That black beaded Zara bag is the best! I know what you mean about relating beads to Spring/Summer but I recently grabbed it for a night out to a comedy club. I was wearing a black and burnt orange patterned midi skirt and long sleeve top in the material of the Ganni polo neck that you’re wearing in this video. That beaded bag just worked!

I know EXACTLY what you mean about the leather smell… to this day, I cannot and will not buy bags made of anything but leather. Also, I can’t even tell you how much I love your videos. You’re a natural in front of the camera, unrehearsed and relatable. Lastly, I don’t know what you did differently in this video (lighting, makeup, hair?) but it totally works! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Karen, you are gorgeous! You make everything look good. I completely agree; if you LOVE a piece, you absolutely should buy a "backup" or you may find they aren't available when your first one is worn out! *Blessed Be and Stay Well!*
Michael you can also use cornflakes and ground it as fine as you can with a bottle or rolling pin, season it, put it all over your chicken like you are preparing it to be fried and bake it 325 or 350 degrees until it’s cooked (40 minutes) You will have delicious chicken that looks and taste fried without the oil. 🤤🤤🤤

What a gorgeous collection. The Hermes bags are exquisite. I agree with using these bags. Get your wear out of them. My favourite bag is an Oroton rectangle bag with a chain strap. It resembles the Chanel boy bag, in grey with a silver chai. Quality always wins. Cute analogy with Michael about the black pearl bag!!

Michael is damn right because I too am small and compact and a KEEPER. Karen I want to thank you because I am getting married next Friday, Court House and I was looking for a white dress, shoes and all the stuff I an never going to wear again then I saw your wedding pic on the Instagram and told my hubby oh hell no. This is our day and we can only have one witness because of Covid🙅🏾♀️. We are going to DO WHAT WE WANT. So my fly ass will be in a new/ blue patch work Polo jeans, my new Frankie Shop hour glass blazer, my borrowed CC brooch and my old Zara patent lace up booties and I will be the Baddest Bride, 🙅🏾♀️periodt. Hubby and my brother will be in demin also😂😂I forgot them😂😂😂

You guys are such an adorable couple. Showing your handbags, made me realized that you favor the shape of my grandma's old pocketbooks (they called them). Tee Hee I have bought some with that shape second hand and will be using them this Fall/Winter. You and Michael are such treasure and screech with glee when Michael pops in and in some kind of way will make known his love for his dear Karen. Staud moon bag is the one that stands out for me from what was shown here, the others were more classic shapes. I saw the shape of this bag walking down another designer runway in larger size and I would love to have their adaption version. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
yes, we saute breadcrumbs with butter or oil and sprinkle over sweet dumplings filled with plums or jam. We eat it with ravioli as well. We have food that reminds of gnocchi (made of potatoe dough) that we eat with sauteed breadcrumbs, sprinkled with powder sugar, or sirup. Delicious with filled gnocchi with sweet filling.
I have never bought a "luxury Brand" bag; however, I too like bags which do not show LOGOS. I think the most I have spent on a bag is $150.00 that's were my economic life is. But I have found some great leather bags which I have had for years. I take care of my bags just as if they were thousands of dollars which for me , they are.
@Rowena JonesR: I’m so with you! Can’t imagine spending that kind of money for a handbag, though I always have lovely leather bags from 50 years of thrifting. Years ago I found LV, Prada , and two years ago a blue leather Louve at the Goodwill. Don’t really think anyone “needs” dozens of ludicrously expensive bags or shelves of black Chelsea boots and others. I think some of this is slightly obsessive! Can’t help loving Karen, though! Stay well.

It's so cool that many of your faves are just really well designed pieces. I really appreciate fashion that has a unique distinctive design versus logos. The latter is just lazy marketing that allows rich people to signify that they paid a lot of money for something. I have never been a fan of SITC, but I totally relate to your obsession with the Carrie Baguette because I have always wanted a Hermes Kelly because of the Grace Kelly/Rear Window connection. PS: your size of Kelly is the iconic size. In the film rear window, it's big enough for her to pack her nightgown and slippers for her true crime sleepover with Jimmy Stewart....I also loved the point that it's not fast fashion if you use it all the time and keep it until it wears out. My favorite sweater is from H&M and I love wearing it with my leggings from the grocery store.

Karen, I was thinking about what you said about the cute little black beaded Zara bag and how you’d like to find a slightly bigger bag in a similar shape. I think that those similarly shaped Marc Jacobs bags that are all over the place at the moment (and in several sizes, color ways and textures) may be just the right fit for you. The thing is that these bags are like walking with a billboard over your shoulder with MARC JACOBS written on the front in big white letters (kinda iffy, but…) ‼️I have one myself, and use it all the time.

I recently got the Bottega mini Jodie in the off white ( they call it “chalk”) and I love it. I got it new and was delighted to find out that their handbags are 20% less expensive here in Hawaii, just like Gucci, because we are considered to be the Asian market!

You can get great old Bottega second hand on Vestiaire and ebay. I have 4, 3 eBay and one Vestiaire, never paid more than £500 and they’re in great condition.
I do backups as well. Especially, bc I love the item so much!👍🏿

I love that little green Botaga. I have seen one similar in JW Pei. I'm thinking about getting it. I only want a small one. I do go for a shoulder bag. The weight of those leather bags throws out my back and hips to where I literally cannot walk the next day. So I have to carry very light bags. The little ones seem alright. I have that JW Pei bag you showed! I've not carried it and I've had it a year. Why do I do that? It's amazing that the cost of designer bags go up but the quality has gone down. Vintage is the only way to go with these bags. I just love those bags you have. The feel and pleasure in carrying a bag like these makes you feel like a million dollars.
Karen you should create the bag the shape of the beaded one in leather. I bet other women would find it useful too. Make one in your next collection. One white and one black.

As for the bags, the Loewe Puzzles and the Bottega intrecciato bags are great. As for the Puzzle, I have a small, medium, and recently a large one all resale and in mint condition. As for the Bottega intrecciato bags, I have been able to land several, but different styles than yours. I was really lucky to get mine on resale and also in mint condition. Bottega leather is like butter and the intrecciato design has always been gorgeous. As for your Celine Box Bag, if I were you, I'd keep it as in years to come you might regret it if you sell it now.
