Tig is one of my favorite standup comedians. She always makes me laugh loudly. Her deadpan slays me. I wish there had been more seasons of One Mississippi.
We have twin sons, and when I read to them before bedtime, I ad-libbed a lot. One night as I was reading and ad-libbing, one of them snatched the book out of my hands and said "you're bad, we want mommy."
Nothing like the chopped liver feeling as a parent. I used to refer to myself as the “ruiner of all things fun”. It was lord of the flies until I got home.

watching Tig I thought, you think that's bad -- here's something worse. 😂 I think you'll appreciate this one, too,! 😁 When one of my cousins was young, like just old enough to talk in full sentences, my uncle was busting his a$$ working. They did alright but my uncle had a job at a three-shift place where you could get more $ for 2nd or 3rd shift, could also sometimes get overtime, any shift. So he did. He was at work or at home. But with the erratic schedule, kid didn't see him every day. One evening, my uncle's at work and my cousin says to my Aunt, "Is that man coming over tonight?" My Aunt is like, "What 'man'?!" because the only man coming around at night is my uncle, her husband, the kid's father! And she realizes what their baby means and says, "Your FATHER?!" Yep, that's who he was asking about. I don't even remember what happened after, just that she made a bigger deal about talking up Dad and when he'd see Dad again, etc . Not that they didn't already talk like that and do family things, but my cousin sure freaked them out! My Aunt, lovely lady, was also like: There's poor hubby working day and night for us, LITERALLY, and kid has no idea! btw all ended okay. They have a great father and son relationship. Uncle and Aunt had more kids too and he got to work less hours so the kids saw him more. My cousin's grown now but it's still a family joke about "that man."
Wow, casting her in Star Trek must have been an instant decision. She really is Commander Reno IRL lol. Looking forward to watching more of her Stand Up, didn't know she did that!

You may not have called her that, but she still is. Shes acting as herself, the only role she could ever play. Also you must have noticed how during this „comedy“ the camera never showed the audience. I remember it panning out once for a birds eye perspective. Why is that, i mean it happenes in every other comedy special. You show the crowd pissing its pants to get the tv audience even more riled up. And why does the crowd laughing sound the same every time. Could it be a laugh track? I dont hate her as a person. I dont hate lesbians and i dont hate her for her political views either. I hate on her bc i counted one joke the entire special(im serious i counted the jokes) It wasnt a funny joke, but it was one and it was at the very end. The rest was storytelling and what a boring story that was. The only reason you can like her comedy is if you like her politics. Prove me wrong.

I can’t think of a single remotely funny conservative comedian. Ron Schneider? Keeps getting kicked out of conservative venues. Roseanne Barr? Known for her nutty conspiracy theories than her nonexistent jokes. Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.
