i see what he means....about 90% of the guys he came up with are between 45 and up, but still wrestling. He invested well, and has knowledge enough to do speaking engagements. I wish all wrestlers would have that kind of success outta the ring.

I LOVE HIM!!!! he has been a huge inspiration to me since I was 9 years old. Today, he's STILL a huge inspiration and NOBODY has put the energy that he's put into the wrestling industry. with the acception of The Macho Man Randy Savage, NOBODY has been so colorful with their outfits and lights up an arena by running to the ring to excite everyone. Warrior, you are and forever will be....the man!!!

A warrior must change with the times...dont let his age fool you...that warrior is a savage...he could still burn out the exit signs and load up with the rocket fuel after he gets trampled by midgets on lawn mowers. Warrior...one of my all time favorites.

There was an incident involving a young fan of his, just a little boy all painted up, basicly worshiping the warrior. This kid had some sort of terminal illness and somehow got an opportunity to get warrior and get his autograph. The wwf officals kept asking if warrior was rdy to meet this kid and he kept snarling "IN A MINUTE". All he was doing was sitting and talking with Bret and "the boys" in the back, which he rarely did anyway.

You're right about the three sides to a story. However, it's like this:
    1. There's the Ultimate Warrior's side
    2. There's the industry's side (pro-wrestling)
    3. AND, then there's the wrestling fans
What the industry says could have weight, also what Mr. Hellwig/Warrior says at times has merit.
But, it ends up being where how wrestling fans see the Ultimate Warrior. And that's REALLY the truth.

Maybe it was all of that shit that happened before his comeback at Wrestlemania 8- when Bobby Heenan and others were saying (as part of an angle of course)that they thought he had died, lost wieght, shaved his head bald and all other types of shit. You know how some people are- they just take what people say and run with it.

He made himself, made his own gimmick, and even had the gimmick as the Dingo Warrior prior to the WWF. All that Vince did was give him a camera and he made Vince tons of money. The reason that the WWE made that DVD on Warrior was because Vince hates being one-upped by his wrestlers, and Warrior was the only one to truly leave the business on his own terms.

It just proves that old saying correct- it's not what you know, it's who you know. Just don't expect Batista to run down to the ring at 100 miles per hour; at his age he would probably break his hip or slip on the buckets of sweat he produces!!

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Jesus Christ, because he had anointed him to preach the gospel to the poor; he had sent him to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:18-19 Your Bible)

man...it was bad. you know after you watch wrestling with your brothers, naturally, you're gonna get up and say "I'm Hulk Hogan!" and then you would fight over who got to be hogan, until somebody said "Im Jake the Snake" or "Iron Sheik!" I would ALWAYS yell "I'm UW!" Then everybody would laugh and call me a fag. I would run around and act like I was shaking the ropes. They used to always eliminate me first. lol. THen i remember when he beat hogan and had both belts i was so happy i cried.

the ultimate warrior was more then just a wrestler (a dam good one at that) he was a prophet who fought the power and lost but he lost willingly and now he is a man who promotes a positive life so just cause hes a wrestler does that mean he's not allowed to have epiphanys... and he changed his name because they needed to trade mark his character in order it wouldnt be used by any other sports entertainment seeing "warrior" is a popular name for a fighter.

@snarlingrabiddog5150 Other opponents Hogan fought in Japan were the best Japan could offer: Antonio Inoki, The Great Muta, Akira Maeda, and Tatsumi Fujinami. Also Hogan's match with Abdullah was Hulkster was starting out and had a hair helmet! Also check out Abdulla's matches between 1977-2010, he's been a wrestler since 1958 and in real life, Abby is a Canadian and owns a resturaunt in Atlanta!

@gamesDAMNED Wrong. If you don't get it, don't assume the rest of don't. What he just said makes lotta sense. He said to go "balls to the wall" and strive for success in anything you choose to do, but also realize that you may not be able to do certain things when you get older (especially if you did something as physical as wrestling). You may then become a mentor like he did and continue to teach and inspire.
