- Asher had always been a rebellious youth - brawling in taverns, sleeping with whores, and finding ways to raise his father’s ire. But his life took a dark turn when, at age seventeen, he fell in love with Gwyn Whitehill, the daughter of his father’s bitter rival. Bloodshed ensued and Lord Forrester faced a grim choice: go to war, or exile Asher across the Narrow Sea. He chose the latter. Asher remains in Essos to this day, living as a sellsword, trying not to think about the life he left. When Asher heard his brother Ethan was tormented by a miller's boy, Asher grabbed him by the neck and beat half of the boy's teeth out. While his father was angry, he only cared about Ethan's safety. At some point he met Beskha and the two of them became partners. Asher and Beskha traveled to Volantis during their adventures, were they soon became enemies with Tazal, a member of the Lost Legion. During their time journeying, they made it to Lys, where he and Beskha fought the Scourge, a brawler who fought with double axes, and defeated him...

Well, I think this is the last one for this game. At least till the Season 2 comes out. Had to recapture the ending of 5th episode and whole 6th episode of course, so that Asher would be alive...

Justin 21 I think it would have been Rodrick. Think about it, dude gets humiliated and disrespected throughout the whole game, and then when he finally gains some footing, Whitehills ambush him. I think Rodrick dying makes for a much better story
@@ricoco7891 yes and it seems so incredibly undeserving to have Asher archieve nothing and instantly die. His sellswords die either way so the only way his story matters would be to have him replace rodrick. AND Ludd is scared of asher
The thing about Asher's story tho... Ludd survives. If you choose to wed Gwyn, mother attacks Ludd, he escapes. If you ambush them, Ludd escapes in the same way and only Gryff dies. In Rodrik's story you can kill Ludd and win the war and also mainly you get to choose to kill either Ludd or Gryff, but obviously you go for Ludd and win

Not only this.. Royland sacrifice himself the same way Gregor did. When both of them grab their sword first.. and not only If Asher became a new Lord of the Ironrath you will need to set an ambush against the whitehill in Asher's wedding. Remember the Starks got betrayed by Frey in the Twins? It's on the red wedding.

I actually love this game and l play it every year!! One of the best story games l have ever played that l hate that it doesn't get recognised like many other telltale games (like Guardians of the galaxy). I really loved the story of Asher and Beska so much that l would even play a spin off with those two ,because they have an amazing relationship together ❤❤. I hope Telltale gets the rights back HBO so that they can make a season 2 or make a new game of thrones game with new and old characters... A man can only dream...
I really wish there was a way to get a not terrible ending. Literally no matter what you do, house Forrester is destroyed catastrophically. They lose everything and almost everyone. The best ending has you struggling away as your entire house burns and most of your family die.
I think it would be okay for whaever ending they had for season 1 to be like that if they also made a season 2 but they never made it.. and the story was in fact a good and interesting one. But yeah this one was linear there was littearly no good ending here at all.

Asher gives me some Thor vibes. He was my favorite from this game from the jump.
I think saving Rodrick is the best course of action because if Asher ambushes the Whitehill's or poisons Ludd they broke guest right like the Frey's did, but Rodrick ambushed them and therefore have no stain on the name Forrester.
I have some doubts about this, Rodrik is the eldest son, it seems fitting he would save his little brother even if he was the better suited lord.
It is arguable that if you call it off the plan to marry Gwyn, Asher can't be held accountable

It really does not sit well with me that the Forresters would break guest right in Ironrath after what happened at the Twins.
Asher Forrester whilst not a bad or crazy person like Walder Frey and Ramsay Snow, he has lived in Essos half his life, and doesn't know or properly care about these guest rights or rules in Westeros, for him all that was important was saving House Forrester and his family. And the others just followed Asher cause he was lord.. So when you say Forresters its only cause Asher is the lord and wanted to end it once and for all. Only Rodrik apperantly out of them all knew of that back gate or even mentioned it.. litteraly no one else mentioned sneaking to Ludd white hill's army in their backyard other than Rodrik.. lol.

Screw this game and its fake choices, there is no right answer and it seems like every adversary gets the upper hand during speech checks and confrontation. The game insists on its tedious and unsatisfying story.
