I think this song is to all the hiccstrid haters. Doesn't matter if they think Hiccup and Astrid shouldn't be together for whatever reason! The thing is we hiccstrid shippers have reasons to ship them, Hiccup and Astrid have reasons to be together, and we don't care if the haters disagree with our OTP, because they just don't know about the magic between the two.
I could list several reasons why I ship them, but there is 1 that ranks among the rest. Hiccup and Astrid love and care for each other deeply, they make each other happy and they don't blame each other at all for the past, to them it doesn't matter. That carries a lot of weight in my view. Another thing that a lot of Hiccstrid haters refuse to acknowledge is Astrid's first instinctive response when she sees Toothless, her first instinct and action is to protect him, and then to literally sacrifice herself just to give him a chance to run. How do people ignore this?

They waited for the right time for them to get tied to each other. Because they don't rush things. I'm so jealous to them actually. Yeah I've watched all of the race to the edge episodes available up to now and hiccup and Astrid are still close friends and not together. However they have been together as a couple for a long time by the second film so very soon in either the end of season 3 or the start of season 4 they will make their relationship official.
Yes the TV series will continue, hiccup and Astrid have started their relationship even though there is no direct confirmation. Look at hiccups hair and the way Astrid is around him. Plus heather calls Astrid on her relationship with hiccup and Astrid gets defensive very quickly.
