I live with severe depression for 16 years now & live with suicidal thoughts every day also for 16 years and so many other mental illness and Jays Song just made me tear up a bit & now your reaction also made me tear up. I just want to thank you how you brought it to the point what it feels like having to deal with these things daily. The end also got me where you said ""two realities, two different ways that this Situation could have gone". Like literally one thing could just be the breaking point, the point were one finally decide to end everything. But also at the same time if you have someone you can tell everything that could be the breaking point to change something, to seek help, to heal, because of the fact that you know "hey I have someone" instead of ending your own life. You have one breaking point that can lead to two different ways. Either you seek help or you end it. One reality where you want to die & one were you just want to finally live. This is literally my fave Song of Jay & I'm listening to it since it came out. Because I can identify myself with this Song so much. It just makes me so sad Thank you for your reaction!

The picture of her i think it was in new York was published becasue she looked like she was sleeping and her body was intact. She was a model or an actress, I believe that scene is a reference to that famous picture. It was in the 1920/30s i believe.

I share your opinion that you shouldn't give up easy and take the final step lightly. But to say in everyone's live it always gets better is just wrong. Above all you as an American should know, that there are a lot of people suffering through homelessness and drug addiction to the absolute breaking point where there is literally no light at the end of the tunnel. You said at the beginning, that it is a problem of the current generation, that most people only see themself and I agree. But don't make the same mistake, by overlooking those who suffers most and who are already overlooked by everyone. Cause I know you wouldn't do that on purpose.
I stand by what I said, even in the darkest of situations, there are still positive times coming in the future. But the only way to have a shot at experiencing that is riding through those rough times. And of course “positive/good times” are going to be different for everyone. Saying that some peoples lives NEVER will get better is a defeatist mentality, there are so many ways to approach life no matter what situation you’re in, but you have to keep fighting to find out what those good moments will be for YOU
