Am setting up Signal as a group only app for a series of professionals who do not want to allow Signal to access their contacts list. How does groups work without that access. Will signal create its own contact list.
@@GeniusLounge Thanks, guess my real question is if the individuals do not allow access to their contacts will the members of the group itself have their contact info (phone number) stored so you do not have to enter the phone number of everyone each time. Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks for the easy-to-follow video instructions. I wonder if you can answer one question for me: how long can a conference session be? Do they time out like the free Zoom does (at 40 minutes)?
Sorry for the late reply, Zoom puts a limit on their conferences as to upsell you to buy the product. As Signal is free there's no "set limit" to get you to buy. I don't know if there's a technical limit to their conferences, but I wouldn't expect there to be.

Hey! Can I create a group and make my group contacts read what I have to say but they won’t be able to see who is in the group?
Like the "Announcement group" feature of WhatsApp? No. Unfortunately Signal hasn't caught up to them on that one yet.

Yea, but signal doesn’t keep a copy of your contacts. It’s safe to allow it access to your contacts

If it’s a group, the app will keep track of who is in that group. So no, they won’t have to re-enter each time
